Who was she looking at off camera?
Did anyone see Lindsay on Letterman?
|by Anonymous||reply 61||04/11/2013|
Farrah Fawcett's ghost
|by Anonymous||reply 1||04/10/2013|
she's such a hot mess. it was probably her of the moment assistant. whomever she thinks she trusts. i think she's been heading down a path of no return for quite a while now
|by Anonymous||reply 2||04/10/2013|
Happiest when she's working? She never shows up, is late or bails early. I remember reading a story about one of her last movies where the producer or director ordered her to be accompanied on breaks and lunches to make sure she showed back up to work. She's a nightmare to work with.
What's up with that "fashion" line of hers?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||04/10/2013|
I have no doubt that her 30th birthday will be seen by her from underground. She is heading down a slippery slope and I think it's getting too late for the poor girl to turn it around. It's tragic that we see her speeding at 150 MPH toward a brick wall and there's nothing we can do to help her. Sad.

Lindsay Lohan mixed vodka with rehab -- with a splash of tears -- on David Letterman's show last night.
The most famous defendant since O.J. Simpson says she's taking her impending rehab seriously ... but then -- on camera -- she reached for a coffee cup filled with a mysterious liquid.
By the way, Linds kept the party going after Letterman -- she hit up 1 Oak Nightclub, and was seen leaving early this morning.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||04/10/2013|
Thought she was funny and self effacing, it's really hard to overcome toxic parents.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||04/10/2013|
She was looking at her publicist.
By the way, she sounds and looks like shit.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||04/10/2013|
How did her voice sound? Someone mentioned she sounds like she smokes thousands of cigarettes a day.
If she does go to rehab she's going to have a horrible case of the DT's. I honestly don't think she can get through 15 minutes without alcohol.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||04/10/2013|
r9, she sounds like a 70yo smoker.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||04/10/2013|
The reason we suffer hearing about this tragic, worthless whore is because of people like OP who somehow keep her alive enough for old men like David Letterman to keep putting her mug on TV.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||04/10/2013|
Thought she looked and sounded fine, you people are negative drama queens.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||04/10/2013|
Her voice is shot, it sounds like Rod Stewart's. If she can clean up her act (big if) she could have a career revival like Robert Downey Jr. There was a time when he was thought to be a goner. She is clearly emotionally/spiritually/mentally unbalanced as evidenced by her genuine tearing up.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||04/10/2013|
"[R9], she sounds like a 70yo smoker."
And she needs cushioned knee pads while she's smoking.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||04/10/2013|
I thought I noticed a lot of arm makeup probably covering up bruising?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||04/10/2013|
EVerytime she makes a public appearance there's always someone who yells out, 'We love you Lindsay!!!'. Obviously a plant.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||04/10/2013|
Not necessarily, I still like her and am rooting for her. I identify with her a lot, my parents were immature narcissists, too. She's smart and talented and still sexy.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||04/10/2013|
Are you fucking blind R19? She looks like hammered shit. Old beyond her years, the voice of a 70 year old chain smoker, shitty fake bronze job, dirty hair. She looks unkempt and sick all the time.
What is up with her bruises? Falling down drunk or being beaten? Is there a condition where people smack themselves the same way cutters mutilate themselves?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||04/10/2013|
[quote]If she can clean up her act (big if) she could have a career revival like Robert Downey Jr.
The thing about drug addicts is that they never really get better until they have truly hit rock bottom. And although all of these antics and childish behavior get attention (what she craves) they only serve as a distraction from addressing the mess her life is. Lindsey will not hit rock bottom until she finds herself alone, wasted in the gutter of some back alley in West Hollywood with no drugs, no phone, no rich friends to call in favors from and most importantly abandoned for months without the attention she craves from the tabloid press and infotainment industry. The fact that people still invite her on shows like Letterman means in some twisted way that she is still relevant. Hollywood has to cut her off and make her irrelevant to save her. Every stunt she pulls should be given no press and no coverage. The paparazzi should be paid NOT to photograph her. Once Hollywood removes her anointed crown, the justice dept's laughable free passes will end as well. When Hollywood finally abandons her cold turkey then and only then will she clean up her act. By that point, she will be beyond salvageable in terms of a career but she may be able to salvage her life and live to see 30 and beyond.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||04/10/2013|
She looked high or drunk last night. Watch her eyes. She's had a lot of experience faking sober. I used to root for her. But the past two or three years, she seems to have crossed some line and I think she is genuinely a lost soul. The rumors about her selling herself, and the bruising, the slimey people who "hire" her for appearances, it's all very sordid. Her mother is her pimp.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||04/10/2013|
It's not necessary to hit rock bottom to reform your lifestyle. Many people do this along a continuum of substance abuse.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||04/10/2013|
Time is not on her side for a Hollywood comeback. Robert Downey Jr. was a rare exception, but Hollywood is kinder to older men.
It's rough even for sober women over 30.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||04/10/2013|
Dina is a pimp just like Kris Kardashian. I think Dina sold Ali Lohan to some rich Korean perv because she has dropped off the face of the earth. We know she's not modeling because she lost her looks by starving herself and I sure haven't seen her in any fashion mags.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||04/10/2013|
I can see from her Letterman appearance, she still doesn't get it. She can't even fake her ' I'm looking forward to rehab lines'. I hate to say it , but I too have given up on her. The face is a mess , and as been mentioned, her voice is that of an old smoker. Let's just not all play the 'shocked' card, when she goes.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||04/10/2013|
[quote]When Hollywood finally abandons her cold turkey then and only then will she clean up her act.
Like Hollywood cares. Hollywood dismissed her already and sent her to the glue factory aka the gossip media. Her famous status has turned into an infamous status for quite some time now. Lindsay Lohan is the star of a snuff media project where viewers get off seeing her dying a slow and humiliating death. And quite frankly I don't believe those posters who claim to root for her it's almost like 'I am not homophobe, but ...' rethoric or some empty phrase like 'I really care'. People who'd really care for her would take their own advice and stop posting about her and turn their backs on her so she doesn't have any non-paid 'We love You!' cheering squad anymore.

"Lindsey will not hit rock bottom until she finds herself alone, wasted in the gutter of some back alley in West Hollywood with no drugs, no phone, no rich friends to call in favors " "Lion!! Ann?? Jennifer?? Neely? NEELY O'HARA!"
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/10/2013|
It is dirty and sordid. Not in the way that Sherri and Elisabeth tsk tsk over.
Lindsay looked terrible, sounded worse and is one hard 26 year old.
I thought Letterman was respectful enough in that he didn't ask the sordid questions in a fake Barbara Walters fawning, or a judgmental Matt Lauer grilling. He was Dave, playing and zinging at her, repeating some of the worst jokes he has said about her, and ultimately showing some avuncular care for her that she seemed to genuinely respond too. Not that it matters.
She wants to promote Scary Movie and the fallacy that she still has a career to return to after rehab. Any show that has her on naturally only does so to ask salacious questions and express their 'concern' and exploit her craziness. Letterman is the lesser of evils and somehow she came off a little bit human somewhere behind the bloat, her trashed face and her exorcistic laugh.
She will never come back even if she ever gets it and achieves sobriety. She is a woman. A lovely young woman can play burned out and used up and seen too much and win awards. An actress can not be that and get hired for anything that doesn't exploit that. RDJ can because he is a man, had a lot of friends on his side, and was one of those lying junkies that at least always knew that he was a lying junkie.
Lindsay doesn't get it, like a bad episode of Intervention or "Leaving Las Vegas", you can pretty much tell the outcome. It is fun to joke about her, but seeing her as a real person is harder because it makes us angry and sad, and it is so hard to comprehend, and yet there she is. Dying on the vine, and making jokes about it with some faux seriousness lip service about taking some time for herself. Half-dead, and doesn't care.
The people who care are caring people, not sob sisters. The ones who don't have had their good will worn down or simply don't care, they are not villains.
There are villians but they are in her life, not in the press or on DL.
I feel sorry for her, but would never have her in my life. She is hard core damaged, and not just in appearance. I didn't make me feel dirty to watch her on Letterman, but it did make me feel sad. She has many psychological ailments and loves booze and drugs and lying. It happens everyday. I remember her from her very young and charming talent and she still is chronologically young. I doubt she was ever young in her life. Her parents killed that.
She will likely finish the job.

"If she can clean up her act (big if) she could have a career revival like Robert Downey Jr"
Probably not. Her only good performances were as a teenager, she's never proven herself as an adult actress. Hollywood isn't very forgiving to women in general, and less so to women who aren't very young and very beautiful. Even if she totally cleans up and develops a work ethic, she'll have a hell of a time getting any roles away from all the young, pretty, hard-working, ambitious young actresses out there.

Those Arab businessmen can be rough. I got a bump on the noggin and lost 13 feet of acrylic fuchsia hair extensions after a couple hours under a banquet table in Dubai.
But it was nice to be working in the entertainment industry again!

True R31. Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone are doing roles that may have gone to a sober Lindsay.

[quote]TMZ says that lockdown rehab for non-criminals only exists in the fairy land in Mark Heller's mind, but the Seafield Center is sort of close to being a lockdown rehab. Seafield has cameras everywhere and there's staff always at the front door, so if she leaves, they can't stop her, but they will call the police. Leaving rehab will violate her sentence and she'll be thrown in jail immediately (uh huh). Prosecutors apparently signed off on the place and are okay with it.
I'll lay odds that her attorney will pay someone off not to call police if she leaves. She's gotten out before.

r30 nails it. There is no going back for her. She doesn't have a career. She's the punchline of a thousand jokes in Hollywood. After the shit she pulled on Anger Management no one is likely to give her a chance to fuck up on another production. Well, maybe a porno. The people who enable her probably get a perverted thrill out of seeing someone who had real promise self emolate. And enough with the "she's a great actress" bullshit. She is not great. She is not even mediocre by made for television standards. The most pathetic part of the Letterman interview was when he asked her, and rightfully so, if she "stole stuff".
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/10/2013|
Isn't David Lettermab a recovering alcoholic himself? He may be trying to help her by prodding her with the truth. And she knew it -- that's why she had to go out drinking afterway, to anesthetize the discomfort.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||04/10/2013|
She reminds me so much of Dana Plato. There is this tragic and sad and uncomfortable- to- watch energy swirling all around her.
How could she ever have a career again? She is totally overshadowed and "topheavy" with all the personal life stuff. No one can think of anything ELSE when they even hear her name.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||04/10/2013|
Fuck her parents and fuck Sam Ronson. Keep her away from them. Awful parents.
She needs to be in some outdoor program chasing butterflies or riding the rapids to get a different kind of high. Send her to some sort of Outward Bound type of thing for a year where she gets fresh air, meets a different type of human (not blood-sucking sychopants) and falls in love with a kind, nuturing guy who sees the real, fragile Lindsay and wants to help her and real female friends who actually care.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||04/10/2013|
I can't believe all the chances she's gotten. It's beyond belief. Enough is enough.

Girl has problems.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/10/2013|
If she hadn't been a kiddy actor, she'd have ended up a bartender on Long Island. Married several times, several kids, in and out of the court system.
She just doesn't have the poise, class and professionalism to do adult roles. I'm tired of hearing, if given the chance, she'd be an Oscar winner. It just isn't there.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||04/10/2013|
I love that they make her out to be some great actress because of "The Parent Trap". It's just a meme. She has no talent.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||04/10/2013|
This whole time she should've been releasing music, even shitty autotuned dance tracks. She could've been making a living and filling the time in between roles.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||04/10/2013|
I don't care whether she's sober or drunk, the reality is SHE'S A SHIT ACTRESS!
She has got to be one of the WORST actors of her generation and people always say "how talented she is, so it's too bad she's got so many problems"!?!?!
I'm sorry, wha-? Come again? That's like saying Molly Ringwald is a great actress, or Wynona Rider! LL SUCKS!!!!! God, I can't wait for her to go away for three months so I can have a break from her!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 45||04/10/2013|
She's looking exactly like Winehouse did just before she died.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||04/10/2013|

Parents battle over where Lindsay will go for rehab.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||04/10/2013|
I was highly surprised that she is still able to understand a question and give a halfway reasonable answer to it
|by Anonymous||reply 49||04/10/2013|
Why would the parents battle about where she rehabs? They need to worry about themselves and their own fucked up lives. Lindsey Lohan is a grown woman going on 30. Way past time for her to grow the fuck up.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||04/10/2013|
Don't know anything about what her sleazy father is up to right now, since he just fathered a child with some dumbass out here. But Her mother, her brother, and her sister all live off her "earnings." So they care about where she is, and how long she'll be there, and I think her mother also supplies her with drugs. Yes. Her mother is also an addict. So that's why her mother would want to know where she is. Sad and ugly isn't it.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||04/10/2013|
This reminds me of Dana Plato's interview with Howard Stern, the one where she killed herself afterwards.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/10/2013|
Dina probably wants to be able to visit and give Lindsay her fix.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/10/2013|
I'm not saying that massive substance abuse hasn't contributed to the way she looks now, but I think at least one (maybe small) reason why she looks older than her age is that she's always been somewhat "mature" looking. Even as a teenager in Mean Girls, she looked more like a grown woman than most 17 year old girls do. When I was a senior in high school, I could have passed for an eighth grader. I fucking hated it then, but now I appreciate that looking "young" for one's age as a kid can have some benefits as you get older. In Lohan's case, I'm sure having easy access to plastic surgery quacks from a young age didn't help either (NO ONE in their 20s needs botox and fillers, no matter how many drugs they've done).
That being said - No one would still be talking about this girl if it wasn't for the existence of TMZ and their ilk. If she'd been in the exact same position she was in before she started fucking up and had pulled all the exact same shit she has since then in the year 1970 (or '80, or '90, for that matter), she'd be long forgotten by now. The popularity of internet gossip rags are what's enabling this girl to continue to be hugely famous just for being a train wreck. I mean shit, at least Charlie Sheen showed up to work on time and did his job every day even when he was apparently at his worst. And yes, LOL at the "I'm happiest when I'm working" comment. No, you're not. You've proven this time and time again. I don't think this troubled soul is ever truly "happy," but if there's one time she's remotely content, it's clearly when she's partying. It'd be less eye roll worthy if she would just give up on the whole "No really guys, I'm trying to have an acting career!" charade and just accepted that she's another Paris Hilton, and that yes, that is clearly what she WANTS.
Blech. I hate myself for continuing to click on threads about her, but I obviously continue to find her fascinating for some reason.

Wendy Williams on her show today said Linds looked like she just came out of the subway.
I agree, RDJ was able to come back because he had incredible performances behind him when he lost it. Remember he was nominated for Best Actor for "Chaplin".
Lindsey has approximately two years before she becomes me.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/11/2013|
You have to study, and work with good directors, take chances. She's still 'acting' like a teenager, giggling nervously between lines, etc. She never matured.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/11/2013|
After the Letterman show, she went out clubbing and wound up at 1OAK, where she acted out and threw a tantrum, among other things, because her ex-assistant, who also happened to be there, made the mistake of trying to say hello. (rolls eyes)

The women on The View tore into Letterman and how he was so rude to her after he invited her on the show. They said he ambushed her.

yeah, what does that mean "she just came out of the subway" ??
|by Anonymous||reply 60||04/11/2013|
The women of the view said Letterman ambushed Lindsay?
I posted upthread and he did not.
Barbara Walters is the rudest interviewer and the queen bee spider of ambushing people with her vile questions of "concern" or her fake journalism title. She is a toilet trained viper.
This is the woman who on one of her Academy Award specials asked Richard Gere if the "horrible gerbil rumors were true."
Sorry to go off topic but I can't stand that woman. Letterman did what he had to do and backed off when Lohan looked too freaked, then he just had some fun with her and showed true concern, maybe even some compassion. They joked.
You have to go to Barbara to confess.
The ladies of the view collectively would have asked one humiliating question after another, each in turn off the card in her lap, never bothering to listen to the answer, with never a follow-up question of relevance. And they would have kept interrupting each other and been deadly serious because they both care and disapprove and then would shut up while Barbara had her meal of Lindsay, reminding us all how well she knows her because she interviewed her before.
Lindsay can't get up in time for the View, anyway. Not without adrenaline to the heart.
