Captain Peacock always mentioned that if he were to take another job Austin Reed was always there.

I have found Austin Reed jackets and suits well made, wearable and affordable on eBay. I find it odd because of a mention on a sitcom 30 years old.

It's [italic]Mrs.[/italic] Peacock and it's [italic]Colonel[/italic] Mustard, OP.

You're a dumbass, R2. And clearly unaware of Are You Being Served?

by Anonymousreply 304/08/2013

I'm sorry, but Captain Peacock is free. Eternally. And we (Mrs. Slocombe, Miss Brahms, Mr. Lucas, and Mr. Humphries) are unanimous in this!

[italic]You're[/italic] a dumbass r3. And clearly unaware of irony.

[quote]clearly unaware of Are You Being Served?

That's not necessarily a bad thing. On the other hand, being unaware of sarcasm...

I bought another Austin Reed jacket.

An what the hell is with all the Soap posts in every freaking thread?

by Anonymousreply 804/08/2013

R8, see R6. The character's name is Austin Reed.

by Anonymousreply 904/08/2013

Austin Reed, the UK tailor

not to be confused with

Austin Reed, a character on "Days of our Lives"

Thank you for spelling it out for us, R10.

Glass of water for OP!

by Anonymousreply 1204/09/2013

Are you free Mr. Lucas?

by Anonymousreply 1304/09/2013

I was watching an episode of I Love Lucy last night and Ethel mentioned buying something at Abercrombie and Fitch.

by Anonymousreply 1404/09/2013

Thanks for the glass of water but I'd like a pair of pants and I don't know what length to buy.

by Anonymousreply 1504/09/2013

Buy them long, R15. They'll ride up with wear.

by Anonymousreply 1604/09/2013

You've all done very well!
