Jennifer Lawrence new face of Dior

Dior launched the campaign just days after the Oscars. And who can forget Jennifer's beautiful Dior gown.

I so wish though they would use this pic as their main ad campaign. I think it would be a huge success.

The real campaign

by Anonymousreply 104/03/2013

It's amazing how some brilliant idea came from the web (pic 1) and the reality is boring as hell (pic 2)

by Anonymousreply 204/03/2013

OP, people have been patting themselves on the back about how that pic would make a great campaign image BUT Dior makes its money from accessories, not its clothing. Notice what is prominently featured in the actual campaign image: A PURSE.

Please, this was tired two weeks ago. I'm embarrassed for you at this point.

Katniss in The Capitol.

But R3, they'd get way more press and buyer attention from the other ad

by Anonymousreply 504/03/2013

You're absolutely right r2.

by Anonymousreply 604/03/2013

Am I talking another language? The photo doesn't feature the product they're pushing. It. Doesn't. Work.

by Anonymousreply 704/03/2013

"I chew on on nutty turds" R3 & R7, the point is in this day and age you get more mileage by NOT pushing something down people's throats. And if they went with something that happened for Real and captured a memorable moment instead of what they have chosen, maybe they'd get people to CARE about their brand again.

But she's fat!

by Anonymousreply 904/03/2013

Nasty. she looks deformed.

by Anonymousreply 1004/03/2013

These pics don't look like her.

by Anonymousreply 1104/03/2013

Good for Dior. Glad to see they are starting a plus size line.

Tubby Jennifer is the perfect spokesperson.

by Anonymousreply 1204/03/2013

They photoshopped her face quite a bit, slimmed it and made it more angular. I've seen candids of her, she doesn't look like this. Even she said so.

by Anonymousreply 1304/03/2013

Being Hollywood's flavor-of-the-month doesn't last long, she'd better make all she can while it lasts.

And I don't mean to imply that she's untalented, only that in the absence of reliable box-office pull, Hollywood has taken to discarding actors as soon as a new hot thing comes along, even talented ones.

by Anonymousreply 1404/04/2013

R8, you have no idea what you're talking about.

by Anonymousreply 1504/04/2013

r2, my thoughts exactly - the stairs photo is amazing with classic lines, the real ad a total bore.

by Anonymousreply 1604/04/2013

I hope people are joking when calling her fat. Her waist doesn't look more than 18 or 20 inches!

by Anonymousreply 1704/04/2013

She is gorgeous in R1. It looks like a pose thst took hours to stage.

by Anonymousreply 1804/04/2013

R17, Some people become irrational at the sight (or the idea) of a beautiful woman.

by Anonymousreply 1904/04/2013

[quote]Her waist doesn't look more than 18 or 20 inches!

Her waist is nowhere near 18' or 20'. An 18' waist is quite small and she's quite tall. I'd say her waist is closer to a natural 24' in this picture:

by Anonymousreply 2004/04/2013

She looks like a beautiful swan, lying down to die, after her over-clogged arteries finally had enough.

by Anonymousreply 2104/04/2013

They went a little nuts with the photoshop especially on the neck. Looks like she has been in one of those tribal neck stretchers.

by Anonymousreply 2204/04/2013

I do know people are barely buying Dior anymore R15 except women looking to upgrade their Kate Spade. So maybe they should try something original.
