The Fabulous Josie Cotton

The Angelyne and Elvira threads reminded me of another buxom L.A.-based '80s icon. Josie appeared in "Valley Girl" singing her hit single "Johnny Are You Queer?" Any fans out there?

Here's Josie performing with The Ventures.

Huge fan! I used to always listen to the tape with "School is in" and "Johnny are you Queer?" I friended her on Myspace a few years ago (closed the account though) for nostalgia reasons, she is sweet, her acceptance said "___ The pleasure is all mine!" She seems cool and is very pretty still. I loved the whole 'Valley Girl' soundtrack but especially her songs.

I was trying to remember the name of her album that I had so I looked her up on Wikipedia and saw that she was born in '56, so she's two years older than Agelyne? Snort. Angelyne wishes.

I had "From the Hip", that was pretty good too. I should get into her again. I am glad she's still making music and it's cool to see that ohter people still dig her.
