Angry Twitterers threaten to switch to Bing after Google honors labor leader Cesar Chavez

Apparently some angry little christians are throwing a tantrum over Google putting a pic of Chavez up and not mentioning Easter.

Here are some tweets.

"Google offends 1/3 of the world, by honoring Cesar Chavez' birthday in Doodle, over the resurrection of Christ? #fail I use #Bing now!"

"Google doodle today celebrates Cesar Chavez, not Easter. I think it's time I migrate to Bing. Happy Easter everyone!"

"Happy Easter @google just downloaded Bing! You can take you Chavez doodle and your insulting snub to all Christians and go away"

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 3304/01/2013

How does one "download" Bing?

Comment I saw on another site.

"Obama=tyrant Chavez=tyrant Google owners=far left wing nut jobs. Of course they are going to honor Chavez, They love socialism! I stop using google when I found out they supported obama during his first 4 years of tyranny"

Yes, they are that stupid.

What is it about Christians that they constantly need validation? Is it because they worship a god that also needs constant validation?

Bing has much better cache of images. The Google offices in Chelsea is chock full of society's misfits.

They obviously hate lettuce!

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 504/01/2013

That's a good question R3. I don't see Jews or Buddhists acting this way.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 604/01/2013

Of course tons of people thought it was Hugo.

Yesterday was also the Hindu holiday Phagwah (also known as Holi). You dont hear any Hindus complaining.

Ironically, Google honors Ramadan with a graphic.. Why not Easter?

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 904/01/2013

I knew this would happen the moment I saw it.

R9 Why dont you write to them and ask?

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 1104/01/2013

Such stupid uninformed people.

"Chavez owns hundreds of gas stations across the gulf coast and makes millions of dollars on American soil. Why aren't you idiots getting outraged about that. Outrage is poison and gets nothing done. I find it hilarious that people put on twitter they are switching. You think they give a rats a$$ if you switch? How bout you just shutup go to work and live your life."

"I have no problem with Google honoring any person on Easter. My problem is honoring Chavez as any kind of hero. To honor him for being so anti-American along with his buddy Sean - is outragious! Google: you need to find out whose decision this was - THEN FIRE HIM!" I will still try and use Google. But, with your attitude - I will explore other alternatives."

"GOOGLE is a private company and they can honor the communistic anti-american chavez if they want. Just like the people that honor the murdering terrorist Che' and obama."

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 1204/01/2013

Poor, persecuted Christians. They just can't get a break in America.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 1304/01/2013

The internet makes it so very easy for fools and mindless zombies to flaunt their stupidity and ignorance.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 1404/01/2013

Honestly, I think more people SHOULD switch to Bing.

But not for this reason. These Christians are idiots. Imagine, being upset at honoring a man who fought for the poor, sick, and downtrodden. How *unChristian*!

(rolling eyes a the predictable, typical Christian hypocrisy)

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 1504/01/2013

Bing is worthless. I'm not surprised it appeals to idiots.

Bing is Google. Anyone who thinks its better is a fool.

[quote]Google has run a sting operation that it says proves Bing has been watching what people search for on Google, the sites they select from Google’s results, then uses that information to improve Bing’s own search listings. Bing doesn’t deny this.

Can't they go and form "Twitter for Jesus"?.

They did with Wikipedia.

Notice R9 doesn't mention they do one for Christmas every single year? I guess if you give ONE to the Muslims or to Jews, you've gotta give several to Christians because it seems they've become the needy, high-maintenance fraus of religion.

[quote]How does one "download" Bing?

They probably mean the smartphone app.

Compare them for yourselves...

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 2304/01/2013

I don't understand why they think Cesar Chavez is anti-Christian or whatever. Wasn't he Catholic?

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 2404/01/2013

No, they think it's Hugo Chavez.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 2504/01/2013

They are outraged because they think he's Hugo Chavez R24 and also how dare anyone not acknowledge a Jesus day.

Good god, its a Simpsons episode come to life:

Homer: "Who are you?"

Chavez: "The spirit of Cesar Chavez."

Homer: "Why do you look like Caesar Romero?"

Chavez: "Because you don't know what Cesar Chavez looks like."

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 2704/01/2013

It's why I still love "The Simpsons." They can rest on their laurels.

My dad's a liberal and a member of a union, but yesterday he was Googling something and immediately identified. He then went on a short rant about how much he hates cults of personality. He doesn't feel that people should be deified when history is already being overly generous with a lot of these guys' legacies.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 3104/01/2013

Typical non-latino american, "What the f..?!? We can't be honoring no heespanic." And I'm anglo.

by how much you wanna bet they thought it was Hugo Chavez?reply 3204/01/2013
