When did Justin Timberlake get this good?
I don't recall him making music that I actually liked but when I heard this, I fell in love with it. Is anyone surprised he's capable of such fine music?
Goes to show it's not the artists who are bad, it's era. I'm so glad the era of really trashy music is coming to an end and people are starting to wear actual clothes in their music videos. Cheers.

How pathetically cheesy of you, OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||03/31/2013|
I liked his first album this much. Or at least I played it this much. The second one I play the least.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||03/31/2013|
This Suit & Tie era sucks. Keep in mind that what you are liking is JayZ's production. Justin T has nothing to do with the creative.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||03/31/2013|
The song is not bad but his voice leaves a lot to be desired. I don't like his falsetto. If you compare it to a classic one like Eddie Kendricks or a contemporary one like Robin Thicke you will hear the difference. Even Michael McDonald. Justin's is not pleasant to listen to for a whole song too annoying.

He's extremely talented. He and Beyonce are 21st century world icons.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||03/31/2013|
Madonna can write better stuff over other people's music.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||03/31/2013|
it's Timbaland. Kind of like Quincy Jones and MJ.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||03/31/2013|
So sick of him and all these mediocre performers like him with the kind of pr campaign behind this album of being shoved down the public's throat. He sucks!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||03/31/2013|
JT and Beyonce are both manufactured by JayZ who has deep pockets and buys them their success. Anyone could become an icon with that kind of backing.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||03/31/2013|
He's talented. She's a legend, the best, without equal.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||03/31/2013|
Oh lord - ANOTHER JT thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||03/31/2013|
This is talent. That nasally white boy is just a pretender.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||03/31/2013|
R12, "Hallelujah" works better when the singer is someone I want to fuck, and she ain't it.
Justin Timberlake, otoh...
|by Anonymous||reply 15||03/31/2013|
r10 You're giving Jay Z too much credit. He's a creation himself. And he has nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's career or the production of his music. They re touring together though.
I agree that Timberlake sucks. He's overrated and overexposed.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/31/2013|
Thank you R14, I can't stand Timberlake. He's WAY overrated.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/31/2013|
Uh what?! This new song of his is shit. Catchy shit, I admit.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/31/2013|
OP, you should know better than to post a positive thread about JT, just as you should never say anything nice about Beyonce. DLers have a completely irrational hatred of both people, and are seething with jealousy that they're both so rich, famous and successful.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/31/2013|
The reason why Timberfake gets so much praise for his mediocre music is because the likes of Lil Wayne, Nicki Minja, One Direction, Katty Perry and others make him look like a musical genius. Thats how bad the music is today. Aaliyah died so Timberland gave all the good material to him. Timberland can probably make Harry Styles sound good too.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/31/2013|
OP has the worst taste in music.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/31/2013|
And what do you like, R21? Presumably you have the best taste, so let's hear it.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/31/2013|
I like Justin but this album is epically overrated.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/31/2013|
r22 also has the worst taste in music.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/31/2013|
I actually think Justin Bieber has more talent than him.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/31/2013|
[quote]Janbot is back.
Now you listen, you're a child. You obviously don't understand music, and realize how great Janet Jackson is.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/31/2013|
[quote]This Suit & Tie era sucks. Keep in mind that what you are liking is JayZ's production. Justin T has nothing to do with the creative.
You're full of it. Timbaland collaborated with Justin, not J-Zzzzz. Zzzz only contributed the stupid rap in Suit & Tie.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/31/2013|
When did it become cool to like Justin Timberlake? Back in my day, no one but teeny boppers liked him and people would make fun of you if you bought his album sort of like how people would make fun of you if you bought Justin Bieber's album today.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/31/2013|
[quote]He's extremely talented. He and Beyonce are 21st century world icons.
Timberlake, yes...Beyonce, no.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/31/2013|
Britney is bigger than both of them.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||03/31/2013|
Fugly no talent hillbilly who got fucked by Lou Pearlman
|by Anonymous||reply 32||03/31/2013|
Why is he now trying to go by JT? He never once went by JT before. Now all the signs say JT. The drums say JT. The ads say get "JT's new album". It's really fake how he wants this new nickname.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/31/2013|
Janet has always been smart, here's why....
"Janet Jackson Says The Record Industry Is Dead: 'No More Albums'
Pop icon Janet Jackson, says she is done recording albums, according to former boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri. He says, Janet Jackson, who recently recorded the song 'Nothing' for her latest film Why Did I Get Married Too?, reportedly only wants to release singles "once in a while "Last time I heard she really didn't want to do an album. She wanted to just do singles every once in a while.
"She's looked at the marketplace - albums are not really doing what they usually do when you put all this budget out there. Janet is just trying to figure out her landscape."
He added: "Janet's cool. She has a lot of work going on that's keeping her in the right direction. The movie came out... [and] it looks like her star power as an actress is still there.
"She's about to do the other movie, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, with Mariah Carey, Kerry Washington and Whoopi Goldberg."
Janet Jackson's so talented that she can fall back on her acting career - it is where she started. Who remembers Penny from good times?

Justin Timberlake has become a legend now, that's why is new album is considered his best work since Sexyback. Everyone in the industry knows that JT is now a genius in the music industry. So, just deal!
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/31/2013|
Timberlake is incredibly talented. In his music and in his comedy. He is extraordinary.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/31/2013|
Isn't that Kerry Washington movie three or four years old already, janbot?
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/31/2013|
[quote]Justin Timberlake has become a legend now, that's why is new album is considered his best work since Sexyback.
It's also his ONLY work since Sexyback. He took 7 years off to try acting in movies.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/31/2013|
Justin also released "Justified" which was also very successful.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/31/2013|
[quote]Why is he now trying to go by JT? He never once went by JT before.
Maybe not professionally, but that's always been what his friends have called him.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/31/2013|
So whats up with him using the Dark and Lovely hair relaxer?
|by Anonymous||reply 41||03/31/2013|
Yeah, I've actually wondered how his famously kinky hair got so thick and straight as well...
|by Anonymous||reply 44||03/31/2013|
r33 Because he saw how people would refer to Michael Jackson as MJ. Justin Bieber is now trying to go by "JB" as well, it's the new thing. Michael Jackson is still a trendsetter, even in death.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||03/31/2013|
I hear he's spent the last six years smoking pot. Maybe that has something to do with it.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||03/31/2013|
Britney's material has always been stronger.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||03/31/2013|
I loved "Justified," R39.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||03/31/2013|
What did Madonna say or hint at about Justin being gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 49||03/31/2013|
I think the relaxer has raised his talent to a whole new level!
|by Anonymous||reply 51||03/31/2013|
How many more flop films does he need to be in to finally figure out that his acting career is NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN?
|by Anonymous||reply 52||04/01/2013|
I think 20/20 is bloody brilliant!
|by Anonymous||reply 53||04/01/2013|
I did like his music, but never find him sexy no matter how he tries.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||04/01/2013|
Artist like Maxwell, D'Angelo and Miguel are way better than this overexposed clown. Miguel's song "Sure Thing" shits on everything he ever put out. There is nothing unique or different about his music.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||04/01/2013|
Horrid OP, you need new ears.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||04/01/2013|
This album will win BIG at the Grammys. Their is not one song that I don't like. Strawberry Bubblegum is stunning!
|by Anonymous||reply 57||04/01/2013|
[quote]When did it become cool to like Justin Timberlake? Back in my day, no one but teeny boppers liked him
Yesterday's teeny boppers are today's fraus.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||04/01/2013|
R28, you don't know jack.
"Timberlake no longer carries the starpower or audience to fill arenas, which led to the partnership with Jay-Z."
|by Anonymous||reply 59||04/02/2013|
