Why hasn't Obama appointed a no-nonsense black female judge to the Supreme Court yet?

I was kind of hoping that would be one of his priorities as the first black President.

"I'll have none of this FOOLISHNESS in MY courtroom!"

I am always ready to serve, and seem to have some free dates on my calendar.

by Anonymousreply 103/27/2013

Is Mablean available?

by Anonymousreply 203/27/2013

I love Nina Turner, she would never make it past the squad though.

by Anonymousreply 303/27/2013

Whoopi, what brings you to Datalounge?

by Anonymousreply 403/27/2013

Precisely which no-nonsense black female stereotype did you have in mind? NeNe Leakes?

by Anonymousreply 503/27/2013

Nina Turner would put Scalia in his place.

by Anonymousreply 603/27/2013

Because Wanda Sykes already has a job?

by Anonymousreply 703/27/2013

Tyler Perry as Justice Madea

by Anonymousreply 803/27/2013

Oh no you d'int jus roll yo eyes at me! I'll roll yo head!

by Anonymousreply 903/27/2013

Nina Turner is fierce!

by Anonymousreply 1003/27/2013

Justice Leakes!!! I like the sound of that!

She can get Ruth Bader Ginsberg to do back up vocals on her next single, Nene Rules.

by Anonymousreply 1103/27/2013

because there are already enough on tv

by Anonymousreply 1203/27/2013

"Tyler Perry as Justice Madea"

Well, that would be an improvement over Alito, Scalia, and Clarence Thomas.

by Anonymousreply 1303/27/2013

OP is a racist.

by Anonymousreply 1403/27/2013

A sassy black woman judge on the Supreme Court is a must!

by Anonymousreply 1503/27/2013

If THAT is the best argument you can come up with COUNSELER, then let me save you the time and oxygen!!

by Anonymousreply 1603/27/2013

Couldn't Oprah play that part on the Supreme Court? The woman has done Spielberg movies.

by Anonymousreply 1703/27/2013

Because he is not the casting director of every single movie or TV show in the past 30 years which featured a courtroom scene.

by Anonymousreply 1803/27/2013

MISTER Boies, In my chambers. NOW.

by Anonymousreply 1903/27/2013

r18, you're out of order. I'll have you arrested for contempt!

by Anonymousreply 2003/27/2013

I'll allow the question, but watch it! You're on thin ice, mister!

by Anonymousreply 2103/27/2013

What? I'm not sassy enough for you?

by Anonymousreply 2203/27/2013

Your interpretation of the Fifth Amendment is approaching TOMFOOLERY, Counselor!

by Anonymousreply 2303/27/2013

As others have already said, there is no sassy black female supreme court judge because real life is not TV or Movies in which ALL judges are black and usually female.

Also, All cranky, humorless police chiefs on TV and in movies are middle aged black men.

by Anonymousreply 2403/27/2013

[quote]A sassy black woman judge on the Supreme Court is a must!

Absolutely!! Was gonna say the same thing!!!

by Anonymousreply 2503/27/2013

Don't you be contempin' in my court! I will CUT you, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 2603/27/2013

Why not Judge Judy?

by Anonymousreply 2703/27/2013

Stupid post

by Anonymousreply 2803/27/2013

Judge Judy would be AWESOME!!!

by Anonymousreply 2903/27/2013

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that he'll let all of his nominees be women (and he'll only get one or two more seats on the bench). Still, I do believe a black woman belongs on the Supreme Court--although not for the reasons OP states.

by Anonymousreply 3003/27/2013

SCOTUS - you in danger, gurl.

by Anonymousreply 3103/27/2013

I'm with r30.

by Anonymousreply 3203/27/2013

I would like to see it happen.

In 1992, Carol Mosley Braun (D-Illinois) became the first-ever African-American female elected in the history of the United States Senate.

There is not a reason why there should not be a first-ever African-American female in the history of the United States Supreme Court.

by Anonymousreply 3303/27/2013

Dial it BACK, Counseler! This is MY courtroom, not a Broadway Stage!!

by Anonymousreply 3403/27/2013

You are out of ORder, OP. Wrap it up or I WILL gavel. you. down.

by Anonymousreply 3503/27/2013

Because she'll stand in the middle and throw her hands over the other supremes' heads like Diana Ross.
