Arizona’s new “no loo for you” bill…

Arizona Rep. John Kavanagh’s “papers to pee” has failed, but new legislation has been introduced in its place. It is being dubbed the “no loo for you” bill.

The new bill will put transgender and any gender non-conforming people, like moms in sweatpants and a baseball cap or kids in soccer uniforms , at increased risk of harassment and degradation when they try to use a restroom or fitting room by explicitly removing all legal protections for them state-wide. It would permit business owners to discriminate simply because they don’t think you conform to their idea of how a man or woman should look or act.

As more details roll in, we’ll keep you updated!

The bill will be heard before the House Committee on Appropriations tomorrow, Wednesday, at 2PM in the House of Representatives building on the north side of the plaza in front of the capital.

In the mean time, please write the members of the committee respectfully expressing your opposition to this hateful bill.

Again? Arizona is run by a bunch of crack pots. What a waste of money and time.

I thought this was going to be an 'Onion' parody. Sad, really that such foolishness is still taking place.

I am writing every one of those 'public servants' on the list!

R3? You forget when women take over men's bathrooms at concerts and the like. Just wait.

You sound like the idiot, r3, sticking up for such a terrible bill. Get a grip. This law would have some extremely unintended consequences if passed.

Speaking of being an "idiot" R7...learn to read. In what way did I defend the bill?

Crickets chirping....

You defended it by using your 'idiot' reference, like the rest of the freeper trolls.

She makes herself sound like an idiot when she uses scare tactics like telling people that "kids in soccer uniforms" will be targeted by this bill. There are valid reasons to be against this bill but that is not one of them. And she makes herself sound dumb by using that argument.
