What drugs do you take?

What pharmacological miracle potions enable you to get through the day?

by Anonymousreply 6410/16/2014

Blood pressure and a fibrate 2X daily.

Will live a long life, and hope to run out of money so I can go on the public dole in my later years. Fuck you Generation X.

Vote single payer! Take the obscene profits out of American healthcare!

by Anonymousreply 103/22/2013

Ritalin. They are always pushing my parents or me to take other things but my father never let them and I won't either.

by Anonymousreply 203/22/2013

Isn't it nice of the drug store to keep me alive?

by Anonymousreply 303/22/2013

Lamotrogine, Lexapro, and Zyprexa

by Anonymousreply 403/22/2013

Crestor. That's it. And Vitamin D3 but that's not a drug.

by Anonymousreply 503/22/2013

Nothing. I stopped taking Zoloft four years ago, and although "different", things are fine.

by Anonymousreply 603/22/2013

levothyroxine, desipramine, naproxen and occasional tramadol

by Anonymousreply 703/22/2013

Tramadol occasionally.

by Anonymousreply 803/22/2013

by Anonymousreply 1403/22/2013

Based on the amount of elderly men, nutcases and combination of the two that post on datalounge; this thread should instantly reach 600.

by Anonymousreply 1503/22/2013

caffeine, mainly. Part of it is psychological part this and that.

Baby aspirin. A few others that take up too much time to type.

by Anonymousreply 1603/22/2013

Sherm sticks

by Anonymousreply 1703/22/2013

Propecia and coke

by Anonymousreply 1803/22/2013

by Anonymousreply 1903/22/2013

I take half a dozen antidepressants, mood stabilizers, benzos, and tranquillizers. They sort of keep my Bipolar II in control, but all together they don't make as much difference as pot, when I can get it.

If I could buy pot at the drugstore, I could probably ditch 90% of my meds. Which is likely why I can't.

Thanks, pharmaceutical lobby!! Thanks for not caring about my health or the nation's economy!! Thanks for being greedy bitches!!

by Anonymousreply 2003/22/2013

by Anonymousreply 2103/22/2013

Toprol XL, Trazodone, Meloxicam, Vitamins C, D & E, Omega-3 Fish Oil, daily aspirin.

MS Contin

Baclofin (sp?)

Ambien CR

by Anonymousreply 2503/22/2013

Ritalin, Vicodin, Restoril and occasionally Valium.

by Anonymousreply 2603/22/2013

I gargle with Listerine every morning and night!

by Anonymousreply 2703/22/2013

vicodin 15 to 20 a day I'm very happy :)

by Anonymousreply 2803/22/2013

Effexor, Lortab, Xanax and Ambien.

I like drugs a lot.

by Anonymousreply 2903/22/2013

.05mg xanax everyday. 10 years on same dose. Works great.

by Anonymousreply 3003/22/2013

I wonder in what condition years of taking those medications leaves you at 65 years old.

I think there are a lot of guinea pigs here.

by Anonymousreply 3103/23/2013

r20, move to Seattle. People smoke in public here and there are coffeehouses attached to the medical marijuana shops.

by Anonymousreply 3203/23/2013

I don't take drugs. I do take the odd supplement.

by Anonymousreply 3303/25/2013

Apparently you mean not including ETOH.

by Anonymousreply 3403/25/2013

Effexor, Wellbutrin, Provigil, Ambien, Norvir, Truvada, Reyataz...

by Anonymousreply 3503/25/2013

Metamucil, Midol, Pamprin and Maalox.

by Anonymousreply 3603/25/2013

Nefazodone and Wellbutrin.

by Anonymousreply 3703/25/2013

Zoloft! It should be in the water supply. The world would be a much better place.

by Anonymousreply 3803/25/2013

Exactly, R31.

by Anonymousreply 3903/25/2013

R39/R31 - I'd rather be medicated and happy for 50 years than non-medicated and miserable for 100

by Anonymousreply 4003/25/2013

I only take Pollata and Holiotiten. It's a combination therapy that keeps one in good shape for ceiling walking.

by Anonymousreply 4103/25/2013

Ambien and Xanax - every day in small doses. Made all the difference in my life.

by Anonymousreply 4203/25/2013

An elderly friend of a friend was telling me all the prescriptions he took and it was comical (he's not even poz). He got a new doctor and she told him firmly, "I want you to bring every prescription you take with you to your next appointment".

by Anonymousreply 4303/25/2013

Caffeine. And Prilosec so I can bear the caffeine.

by Anonymousreply 4403/25/2013

I don't even recognize a lot of these.

5mg of adderall in the morning. It's a small dose but it helps my ADHD without the side effects (sweating, no appetite etc).

50mg tramadol for tension headaches as needed. I like that I can take it and still function / work. More "real" painkillers work better but they knock me out and are addictive.

.25 mg clonazepam when needed. I have never needed more than .5 mg in one day. Clonazepam changed my life (um, for the better). Doctors who refuse to prescribe benzos to people with real, ongoing anxiety are mean assholes. The SSRIs don't do crap for real anxiety.

by Anonymousreply 4503/25/2013

Martini, wine at dinner a little blow on weekends

by Anonymousreply 4603/25/2013

Caffeine. Lisinopril for bp. Sometimes alcohol in the evening to relax.

I can't imagine why anyone wants to take a bunch of pills. This country is way too medicated. You aren't supposed to be happy, happy, happy every minute of every day.

by Anonymousreply 4703/25/2013

10MG Adderall 2 x a day

Daily: Ibuprofen prilosec vitamin d fish oil Resveratrol Ginko Selenium Bcomplex 5HTP valerian

& a big doobie each night (I don't drink anymore)

by Anonymousreply 4803/25/2013

r45- really? I think my psychiatrist only wants to put me on ssri's, and I'm pretty scared of that idea- I'm afraid they'll do less than nothing and make me gain weight, which would only make me more anxious. Do you have any experience with ssri's?

by Anonymousreply 4903/25/2013

I'm on Zoloft. Have been for 10+ years. I haven't gained any weight, but it did cut down on my sex drive. I never cum more than 4 times a day now.

by Anonymousreply 5003/25/2013

by Anonymousreply 5103/25/2013

Had anyone else had problems with hair thinning while on psychiatric drugs? I took Wellbutrin for years with no side effects, but as soon as I started taking Xanax from time to time, my hair started thinning. So for the last 4 months, I haven't been taking either and my hair seems to be a little bit better.

by Anonymousreply 5203/25/2013

Cymbalta, Lamictal, Gabapentin. And ZZZquil.

by Anonymousreply 5303/25/2013

5 mg Lisinopril for slightly elevated bp (without lisinopril 120/75 no matter what I do).

by Anonymousreply 5403/25/2013

Holy shit! Now the posts in here make a lot more sense!

by Anonymousreply 5503/25/2013

I would take 3 steps town early grave for 3 Norcals or Vicodin right now.

by Anonymousreply 5610/16/2014

Esidrex (a diuretic) 12.5 mg for hypertension

Vit D3, a multi, biotin, silica, and magnesium.

Zantac rarely, as needed.

by Anonymousreply 5710/16/2014

1/2 a Percocet (325). And a couple one-hits.

No caffeine, no alcohol.

by Anonymousreply 5810/16/2014

Bactine, lomotil, cialis, and Haleys M-O

by Anonymousreply 5910/16/2014

Coffee in the morning love and wine on holidays. That's it love.

by Anonymousreply 6010/16/2014

Coffee. No prescription meds and have an annual healthcheck.

by Anonymousreply 6110/16/2014

After doing way too many drugs - grass, hash, poppers, mescaline, LSD, PCP, coke - in my younger days, age taught me the wisdom of a virtuous, drug-free life. Kicked a 30-year cigarette habit 5 years ago. My one remaining vice is my daily 2 cups of strong coffee. That's it. Not even an aspirin.

by Anonymousreply 6210/16/2014

Osteo Bi-Flex with Glocosamine and Vitamin D. I could hardly walk my knee was so bad. Last time it took a year to heal, when I hurt it. Started taking this and was better in a month.

by Anonymousreply 6310/16/2014

Generic Xanax from Thailand September 2013 - still have around 200 bars left. Bought in multiple pharmacies everyday for the two weeks there. It was after a sleeping pill request got me started on them just after arrival. Addicted ever since. Oh and coke most days.
