Obama's Approval Rating is Lower than Dubya's approval rating was at this point in their second terms

And worse than Eisenhower's, Nixon's, Reagan's and Clinton's

Inn other words, the worst at this point in a second term of anyone in over 50 years

And it has also been in a steady decline since mid-December, down 12 points overall

Why? What is he doing that's so awful? Enquiring minds want to know!

[quote]What is he doing that's so awful?

Being black.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 203/21/2013

That really can't be it, R2.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 303/21/2013

One of the alphabets was already talking lame duck.... if he didn't kick his ass in gear and learn how to deal/negotiate with Congress.

Poll Troll - you know I love you but you're citing Gallup.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 503/21/2013

Why are you citing one poll and not the aggregate of all polls, as is the usual method of measuring presidential approval? Moreover, why are you citing Gallup, which has a consistent right-wing bias?

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 603/21/2013

Our infatuation with Obama ended about a year into his presidency. And the other guy we thought we'd leave him for turned out to be a total asshole. So, we're putting up with this relationship until the lease in the White House is up.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 703/21/2013

r7 - who is this "we" you speak of? You certainly don't speak for me or most of the 60 million people who voted for Obama last November.

It's the second-term, post-election general dissatisfaction manifesting itself.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 803/21/2013

Americans are incredibly fickle and not just a little stupid. It doesn't surprise me that though he won with a decisive majority suddenly the idiots in this country change their minds.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 903/21/2013

Congress is the real problem here

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1003/21/2013

I believe it was also Gallup who predicted Obama's loss. Gallup obviously oversample conservatives & Republicans. I doubt their methods & doubt this result.

Is this really the same Poll Troll from last year? Because that one never just opened a thread and disappeared. That one always went into lots of analysis & told us about which states were called & how the poll broke down by party.

[quote]Is this really the same Poll Troll from last year?

Doubtful. He/she/it is stealing 2012PT's name & using it to post stupid shit. 2012PT really should trademark the name.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1203/21/2013

This thread was not posted by me.

Perhaps I should authenticate my name. Does the authentication procedure still work?

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1303/21/2013

Try it and find out, RPT.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1403/21/2013

I tried to authenticate the name last year a couple of times during the election so that I could prevent imposters like this, but I wasn't able to do so. I'm a paying member, but I kept getting an error message.

I shall try it again and see what happens . . .

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1503/21/2013

A poll is a poll. SHEESH, get over yourself!

McClatchy/Marist has Obama at the lowest... 45% approval.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1603/21/2013

I have some problem with Obama but in general I think we have a smart president who know what needs to be done but is paralyzed by a totally obstructionist congress. He says the sky is blue and they say he's blind.

People blame him for not being able to work with congress but how do you work with people who's one goal is to stop you from doing anything even if they agreed with it yesterday?

History never blames congress though. The repubs in the house, for the most part, have no fear of losing to a democrat after the gerrymandering of the new districts.

It's like Clinton spending his last term fighting about a blow job instead of working on real problems, they wasted a lot of time and money over bullshit. His saving grace was the good economy. Obama can't get a good economy because the right insists on contracting spending when we need to spend to get things moving out of the sinkhole they got us into.

If Obama wants to have a good legacy he needs the miracle of winning the house and keeping the Senate in 2014. It would help if Scalia went away and Citizens United was overturned.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1703/21/2013

R17 is right.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1803/21/2013

I didn't say other people couldn't post polls, R16, but as you saw above, people want to know whether something has been posted by me so I try to indicate that through my own name.

by 2013 Poll Trollreply 1903/21/2013

This must be the Freeper Poll Troll.
