I just saw a mention of Murgatroyd

of Movieline Magazine, in another thread. I always wondered, who wrote Hollywood Ink? Was Murgatroyd more then one person? Who was it?

LOVED Movieline magazine. One of the best magazines EVER. Very dishy and campy (and gay).

I always thought Murgatroyd was a 'gaggle' of gossips kind of like 'The Hollywood Kids'.

The original Murgatroyd was this guy. He's been kicking around Hollywood since the 1970s or 1980s, but couldn't have his name on the column. I don't know if "Murgatroyd" later became a composite or not.

Movieline, in its early days, was like an Ed Wood production headed up by a rich Russian bitch. Later it became much more corporate and a kiss-up to the powers that be.

The old publisher of Movieline, Anne Volokh -- sort of Arianna Huffington as played by Andrea Martin.

Thanks for the info.
