What? Somehow I'm just not concerned. Didn't they already have a failed attempt?
What is it about the North Koreans wanting to attack us?
|by Anonymous||reply 43||03/12/2013|
They sure do bark a lot,
|by Anonymous||reply 1||03/08/2013|
How is the obese spoiled son doing?
|by Anonymous||reply 2||03/08/2013|
North Korea is all talk and no action. Why would anyone take them seriously?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||03/08/2013|
They don't want to attack us. Did we want to attack the Soviets? Of course not. The NK want us to know that they can damage us.
This is why countries want nukes, once they get them you can't touch them. Do you think Qaddafi would be dead if he had the nuke he wanted?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||03/08/2013|
I for one sleep better knowing Dennis Rodman is on the case.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||03/08/2013|
If it were the people of NK and not the leadership threatening us, I would say that they are praying that we would go in there and take over. Not because we'd be 'welcomed as liberators' (bwahahaha), but because after we kick a country back to the stone age we then spend billions of our own money rebuilding their infrastructure.
I'd joke and say that we should invade ourselves so that we can get our own crap up to date here at home if the idea of a police state wasn't so damn scary.
Luckily we're easily mollified with fast food and cable TV, so I think it's all clear for now.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||03/08/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 7||03/08/2013|
Essentially if they were to attack us it would be by attacking S. Korea. That puts up in them middle of the whole mess instantly
|by Anonymous||reply 8||03/08/2013|
Everything sunny all the time, always. Beach party!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||03/08/2013|
So we'll get our Apocalypse after all?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||03/08/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 11||03/08/2013|
NK would collapse in a New York minute if it wasn't for their benefactors, the Chinese.
So not only are we in hock up to our eyeballs to these assholes, and have shipped all of our manufacturing capabilities to them, we now have to put up with this insane crap from China's biggest ally.
Jesus Christ, this country (the USA) is sooooo seriously fucked up.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||03/08/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 13||03/08/2013|
R12, even the Chinese are on South Koreas side now though, they were against North Korea's threats and supported South Korea and USA. It seems like even the Chinese are getting sick of the north koreans, but who can blame them really, the leader is insane.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||03/08/2013|
If, big if, they do have a missile it could only reach Alaska to California.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||03/08/2013|
And China would collapse in a minute if Americans wouldn't buy iPhones
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/08/2013|
Really, R11? You wanted so badly to be racist that you couldn't even make it to R7's post?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/08/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/08/2013|
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if the world, especially Koreans north and south, really wanted a united Korea there would be one. One wonders just how long the idiocy of dividing Korea will persist. And while I'm on the subject of artificial division, when is Ireland going to be united under one Irish government? One does seem to find alot of the blame to lie with the North Koreans' "Baby Doc" fatso "leader".
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/08/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/08/2013|
They don't have squat.
They are only a threat to their own region. None of their weapons could reach past Japan.
Just more bloviating from Lil Kim.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/09/2013|
Things that make you go hmmmmm.....
North Korea has repeatedly tested a missile
North Korea has repeatedly made threats towards the US and its allies
North Korea now has explicitly threatened to attack us with a Nuclear Weapon
Essentially doing all of the things that would supposedly justify a preemptive attack from the US and all we have to give is......silence.
Iraq did none of the things above and yet they were our biggest threat since Hitler's Third Reich and we spent a trillion dollars illegally attacking them.
Are Americans so ignorant that they can't tell when they are being lied to?
What was the war in Iraq really about then?
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/10/2013|
R22, like we don't know the answer to that.
Now excuse me while I fill up the Tahoe. Anyone know where the closest BP station is to Capitol Hill, Seattle?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/10/2013|
The movie Olympus Has Fallen opening March 22nd has North Koreans blowing up the White House. Coincidence? I think not.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/11/2013|
R24, Just saw critics' preview of Olympus Has Fallen. Watch for a rise in anti-Korean prejudice and racism (both North and South are portrayed as untrustworthy) from those who are not politically aware.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||03/12/2013|
It's about conditioning the North Koreans to hate the U.S. which pushes them to support their own government. This leads the people in supporting their government even if the direction they go is bad. The North Korean government has successfully managed to regress the country with no internal conflict.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/12/2013|
North Korea knows it cannot win a war. Yes, they could certainly cause massive destruction in Seoul, but it would be very short-lived and they would be mince meat in a few hours.
It's all barking.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/12/2013|
They just saw the Red Dawn remake (movies take a while to open there!) and got inspired.
Once we distract Fatso with all the pretty pictures in Oz the Great and Powerful, it will all be forgotten!
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/12/2013|
Does anyone really think that spoiled rotten little fat bastard is making decisions? He's a puppet being used by forces behind the scenes.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/12/2013|
We already have North Korea targeted in all the right places on our ships and subs. One false move and ten minutes later cruise missiles and bombs would be raining down on their heads.
And their missiles aimed at Seoul are crap and would be easily destroyed as well. They would get some good shots in, but it would over very quick.
They are barking and screaming right now out of fear.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/12/2013|
They are barking and screaming also because Kim "Little Dick Face" Jong-un is still on shaky grounds with his own military (one of the largest in the world, I might add). While ordinary North Koreans might revere him as a god, the top brass know better and could easily turn on him. The saber-rattling is basically his way of getting on the good side of the generals and proving he's on their side.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||03/12/2013|
R30, Do you think that focusing on the supposed threat from the US and the West distracts the average North Korean from the fact that his non-privileged countrymen are badly malnourished? Will USA save the day by providing food aid to prevent the masses dying from hunger?
Obviously the extremely childish puppet leader cares more about basketball than the welfare of his people. Do those who really make the decisions in No Korea have enough of a heart and brain to avoid militaristic acts that would threaten their robotic-minded populace? North Korean propaganda-induced brainwashing makes "1984" look like a individualists' paradise.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||03/12/2013|
As long as Macao exists N Korea will get all the money they need
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/12/2013|
Go to youtube and watch some of the street scenes in Pyongyang. Very 1984ish with those odd, uniformed "traffic girls" who stand on a podium and direct near non-existent traffic.
It's a bizarre country.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||03/12/2013|
Not "us" as in the continental United States, but "us" as in the huge number of US troops in South Korea, which they could indeed very easily destroy.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/12/2013|
Do you think that they will show "Olympus Has Fallen" in North Korea, or even in South Korea?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/12/2013|
Why don't they breed some of them thar pinda bahrs and sells them to Americas?
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/12/2013|
R37, Malaysians are already building a new "super-resort casino" in Vegas, with an outdoor panda exhibit, as well as a replica of China's Great Wall. Want to know how the pandas are going to survive Vegas' summer heat. Wonder if they're going to import eucalyptus trees for the habitat as well.
Anyway pandas are common in China, not North Korea. Considering truly starving North Koreans eat tree bark and grass, I don't think pandas would survive for very long.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/12/2013|
The US continues to negotiate with North Korea behind the scenes and public rhetoric. We have secret talks with them all the time.
This is just noise and a distraction for the starving masses.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/12/2013|
R39, Do you think that replacing USSR or Mid-East with Korean extreme power seekers/nutters in "Olympus" will provoke a strong reaction from American psychos?
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/12/2013|
Most of the time (Cuba, Iran, etc.) I can easily see the other side to the situation when it comes to another country hating us.
With North Korea, you have to just sit back and say that these motherfuckers are crazy.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||03/12/2013|
I wish South Korea would invade and just end this thing. North Korea has a larger military but less resources so i think the south would win. I have no doubt the North Korean people would be delighted to be rescued.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||03/12/2013|
R42, Guaranteed that the North Koreans are so brainwashed that they are trained to lie down and die for "dear leader." Education and information are severely restricted; "group think: is the norm.
R41, If a North Korean woman escapes and is raped by a Chinese man, when recaptured, an abortion will be forced upon her by prison guards. "Pollution" of the "one perfect race" is completely unacceptable, even if it's by citizens of the one nation that supposedly sometimes supports North Korea.
