So, the Niagra Falls part of Canada is closer to the East Coast of the USA and the British Columbia part is closer to the West Coast, correct? Whereabout is Quebec? Toronto?

by Anonymousreply 4012/14/2013

Is this a riddle?

by Anonymousreply 103/07/2013

You have some serious holes in your education, 0P, and you are not worth DL's time to fill-in the gaps.

by Anonymousreply 203/07/2013

Google. Maps

by Anonymousreply 303/07/2013

Canada is at the North Pole, where Santa Claus lives. Next to the Island of Misfit Toys there's some floating ice where the French elves live, and that has Quebec on it. On the other side, those Coca Cola polar bears live, and they frolic on the outskirts of Toronto.

by Anonymousreply 403/07/2013

If only there were some sort of map of that country that might answer these questions for you, OP!

by Anonymousreply 503/07/2013

Or even some type of electronic device which had access to unlimited amounts of information and a search function...

by Anonymousreply 603/07/2013

Quebec is up above. Oui oui, monsieur. It's Lara Fabian's second home. Toronto is up and over there, and it has a bunch of those gays there. Also, Being Erica was there. BC is on the other side and has all the skiers and outdoors enthusiasts. Hollywood likes to film there on the cheap. But hardly any good looking men or women reside in BC. They're all just kind of blah, with fit bodies. But every women wears makeup, so at least you don't have to see anything that looks natural or blemished.

by Anonymousreply 703/07/2013

Isn't Toronto in New York?

by Anonymousreply 803/07/2013

Let's freak OP out with some fun map facts! Seattle, which is in the United States, is farther north than the cities of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City and the entire provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, all of which are in Canada!

If you go south from Detroit, which is in the United States, the first country you come to is Canada!

by Anonymousreply 903/07/2013

also Reno, Nevada, is farther west than Los Angeles, California.

by Anonymousreply 1003/07/2013

Canadian chick here

I can answer all your questions about Canada. Geography, economics, health care, same sex marriage, government controlled liquor and alcohol sales, etc etc!

Why are Canadian hot for Justin Theroux?

Do Canadians who have moved to some big center to look for work like Toronto and Vancouver maintain a sentimental attachment to their home region?

by Anonymousreply 1203/07/2013

R12, no one here likes that kid, Theroux

I guess everyone would miss their home city, or province, but I've noticed that people are glad to start calling Toronto or Vancouver their home. They jjust start telling people they're from Toronto even though they're adults and only lived in Toronto for 5 months

by Anonymousreply 1303/07/2013
Why are Canadian hot for Justin Theroux?

You mean Justin Trudeau??

by Anonymousreply 1403/07/2013

Vermont is below Quebec, and New York (upstate).

Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are below Ontario.

Washington state and Portland are to the south of British Columbia.

Actually, in many ways the provinces have stuff in common with the states to the south of them, more than with some of their fellow provinces

by Anonymousreply 1503/07/2013

here you go, the real map of North America

by Anonymousreply 1603/07/2013

But still not really accurate.

by Anonymousreply 2403/08/2013

Quebec is huge. Does anyone live at the top?

by Anonymousreply 2503/08/2013

Toronto is a northern suburb of Buffalo, New York and Montreal is in the Adirondack Mountains. Vancouver is a Suburb of Seattle, Washington. I hope that helps.

by Anonymousreply 2603/08/2013

I suspect most towns adjacent to Buffalo don't consider themselves "suburbs" and I'm sure Toronto doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 2703/08/2013

R27 the comments at R26 was sarcasm. Please adjust your pearls accordingly.

by Anonymousreply 3512/14/2013

R35, According to [italic]Canada World View[/italic]:
Seventy-five percent of Canada’s population resides in a narrow 150-kilometre band pushing up against the U.S., with close ties south of the line. We are a border people. The border is our livelihood. The border is our identity.
