What is something you absolutely love to death and are obsessed with and can't stop talking about?
I need a new obsession. Battlestar Galactica is over. Lost went out with a whimper. Health Ledger is dead. Justin Bieber is 19. Buffy was a decade ago. Friends was two decades ago. RENT is now passe. American Idol has gone down the tubes. One Direction is so last year.
I feel so empty now. I need something to be passionate about. Please help!

How about "Doctor Who"? Fifty years of material available there.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 1||03/03/2013|
The twitter feed of Fat Amy. Cracks me up.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 2||03/03/2013|
That twitter feed is horrible and not funny at all. It isn't even official. But yes, I am obsessed with Fat Patricia.

Stop looking to amuse yourself and grow-up. Obsess about your pension or your investments or your health.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 4||03/03/2013|
Pension? But I'm only 18. You must be 40 or something.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 5||03/03/2013|
The Bad Girls Club. I cant wait to see Jen get her weave snatched in this weeks episode! Im obsessed with weave snatching and beating bitches down in general.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 6||03/03/2013|
Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 7||03/03/2013|
After The Office went south, I have no TV shows I look forward to seeing.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 9||03/03/2013|
It changes on a weekly basis. I get little obsessions and go on and on about them and then forget about them for months or years, then start back up again at a later time.
Right now..... Anti Aging products. I know.....

OH! Well you MUST then follow the soaring career of Miss JANET JACKSON with us!
We like to sit in a circle some nights with a pile of old Janet Reader's Digest material in front of us and channel her.
Janet is really HOT right now. Did you know she was the FIRST in EVERYTHING she ever attempted to accomplish---except keeping thin of course.
So join us! There is ALways room for another certified loon from the bin in OUR circle!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 16||03/03/2013|
You won't believe this, but... Heath Ledger!
However, I keep quiet about this obsession here. Well, mostly quiet.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 18||03/03/2013|
Hello? You're at DL. Get obsessed with "Golden Girls." It's rumored that posters here are trying to win a Guinness World Record for the most tedious posts about a dead sitcom.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 20||03/03/2013|
Joan Rivers and/or Honey Boo Boo.

Downton Abbey? Series 4 began filming last week. And the fab Dame Harriet Walter has joined the cast to play Lady Shackleton, an 'old school chum' of the Dowager. Can't wait for the bitchfest!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 24||03/03/2013|
R3 Horrible? Not funny at all?! 我要離婚!
Hmmm, I've become addicted to the feeling I get from riding rollercoasters. What's great is that Magic mountain (the sixflags near me) is installing a new one to open this summer! Fun times if you're into that.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 25||03/03/2013|
It's probably for the best, R25. Have your lawyer contact mine. I'll finish you like a cheesecake.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 27||03/03/2013|
My new obsession is Endless91. He's 6'6" and gay!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 29||03/03/2013|
R12, if it weren't for astrology, I'd date you (not that you'd be willing to date the creep that is me).

Watch Scandal. Seasons 1 & 2 (in progress) are available thru Hulu Plus. Catch up just in time for a new episode 3/21.
Love this show! Tony Goldwyn has his shirt off a lot, and he's beautiful at any age. The first lady is a power-mad hoot. Everyone is evil in their own delightful way. Its my new addiction.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 32||03/04/2013|
I second Scandal and Drag Race.
Sissy that walk is my new favorite phrase.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 34||03/04/2013|
Does it take a little bit to get into Scandal? I just started the first season on Netflix.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 35||03/04/2013|
I'm still obsessing over One Direction
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 36||03/04/2013|
Vampire Diaries (most underrated show on TV)
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 37||03/04/2013|
My current obsessions:
Marcus Welby M.D. on COZI - I DVR but watch the commercials.
Late 60's French and Italian soundtracks
72% Dark Chocolate
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 38||03/04/2013|
I second Downton Abbey. Catching up on all three seasons can take a while, OP, and will buy you some time to latch on to the next "big thing."
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 39||03/04/2013|
R35, it took me a few episodes to really get hooked. Episode 6, The Trail, has a lot of flashbacks and sets up the ongoing conspiracy nicely.
Season 2 is all good, but episode 13 "Nobody Likes Babies" (title is a quote from first lady/new mom Mellie – LOVE her) is the penultimate. It's like five episodes packed into 50 minutes.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 40||03/04/2013|
Another Scandal addict! This show has taken over my life and it's a good thing! I'm always posting in the DL Scandal thread. I read all the Scandal tumblr blogs. I look at the ratings for Scandal every Friday. For me it's the best thing on tv. Two more weeks until a new episode...I can't take it!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 42||03/04/2013|
A Song of Ice and Fire books. Obsessed would be an apt description of my fondness for this fantasy series.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 43||03/04/2013|
How about Matthew Macfadyen on BBC's Ripper Street? He's an up and comer.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 44||03/04/2013|
Myyyyyyyy precious!!!!! Aaaaargh!!!!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 45||03/04/2013|
Walking Dead - if you can take the blood, it's one of the best shows out there!
Game of Thrones - If you can keep up with all of the characters and their names, this is great escapism!
Happily Divorced - Never liked Fran Dresher in "The Nanny" days, but this show is just damn funny!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 46||03/04/2013|
I'm with Mary! At R10, I do the same thing AND I'm currently obsessed with anti aging products.
Let me tell you about my routine! Wash in the evening and morning with Philosophy's Purity, bedtime I apply Green Cream level 9, let that cook for an hour or two, then apply Emu Oil over the top to push the retinol deep into my skin and to hydrate and soothe.
Wake up, wash, few drops of emu oil and Oil of Olay micro sculpting cream.
Evening I wash again and apply 10% Glycolic Acid night cream, let it cook a few hours and again apply Emu Oil.
Alternating nights with Green and Glycolic. My skin is a dream!!!!

Go to Netflix and watch marathons of all of the AMC shows. Trust me, you'll become obsessed.

Wolves and otters. Theys my favorites.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 51||03/08/2013|
Benedict Cumberbatch. Perhaps I'm late to the party? DIdn't see Sherlock; did see Tinker, Tailor - like 6 times!(On Demand); just watched the 5-episode "Parade's End" - HBO - up on Demand, too - wow...just wow!!
I haven't seen a Star Trek movie - well, ever (am old; remember the original TV show; cackle, cackle!) but a recent EW cover story mentions he's in it and there's great sspeculation about who (a villian?) he's playing.
GREAT actor - I'm obssessed!!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 52||03/08/2013|
I was enjoying "Revenge", but it's really gone south this season.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 53||03/08/2013|
I am also obsessed with anti aging products. I use retin-a, and MUAC products. I am also loving my clarisonic brush. The only show that I watch is American Horror story. I tried to look up Downton Abbey, but couldn't find it on directv.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 54||03/08/2013|
Once Upon a Time...you can obsess over the lost references in each episode.
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 55||03/08/2013|
That green cream mentioned above has methylparabens in it. I looked it up. Not a great ingredient. I like natural remedies. I use avocado oil before I shave, after I shower, and it works great. No cuts, skin looks great. I learned it here. I am interested in high dv video and editing, learning from the greats.

OP, be obsessed about Topher Dimaggio, the most handsome, vibrant porn star currently appearing in porn!
|by Quvenzhane Wallis||reply 64||05/17/2013|
Some of my happiest times were when I was fixated on Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, Patty Hearst, Joan Crawford, or John Waters. I would say I am generally extremely interested in true crime, but I tend not to talk about it since it might give the wrong impression.
