Uh, who?? Did they run out of celebrities to host? Lauren is really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
Kevin Hart hosting Saturday Night Live (SNL)
|by Anonymous||reply 63||01/22/2015|
Wrong, I'm a young people and I've never heard of him.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||03/02/2013|
He's incredibly popular with black audiences, and is the biggest selling black comic right now. Expand your horizons.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||03/02/2013|
Get to know him, he's funny.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||03/02/2013|
Don't any of you watch "Real Husbands of Hollywood"? Kevin Hart is the shorty in the middle.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||03/02/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 7||03/02/2013|
Does the OP actually think he is smart by starting a post wondering about the decision-making of "Lauren" ? The OP does not know who Kevin Hart is and he posts on this thread?
I am a 48 year old white guy and even I know the funny, funny Kevin Hart.
Hey OP, would it help you to know he played on a few episodes of Modern Family as Phil's neighbor?
Is that blandly white enough for you?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||03/02/2013|
Let's try that again (R6)
|by Anonymous||reply 9||03/02/2013|
Isn't he only popular from those Medea and Steve Harvey movies or WB shows? Of course most people won't know who he is unless they kept up with black media.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||03/02/2013|
So I guess Sudeikis is staying for the entire season now? I thought I'd read he was leaving right after the election.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||03/02/2013|
"Lauren" is what Justin Bieber called him. It's a joke.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||03/02/2013|
Leave and do what? Be unemployed? Be another Andy Samburg?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||03/02/2013|
I love that show, r6.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||03/02/2013|
R10 Sadly most black performers are only known for Medea and Steve Harvey movies or WB shows.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||03/02/2013|
Is Don Pardo sick or dying? I know he's in his 90s. That didn't sound like Pardo doing the announcing. Sounded like someone trying to impersonate Don Pardo.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||03/02/2013|
Was that Don Pardo doing the intros to SNL? It sounded like someone doing a Pardo impression.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||03/02/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 18||03/02/2013|
Opening monologue was funny.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||03/02/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 20||03/02/2013|
Kevin was hysterical as the Smart Tech shopper who was trying to get a discount and ended up threatening Steve Carell in 40 Year Old Virgin.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||03/02/2013|
Kevin was good in SOUL PLANE.
(.. but M'onique stole the show.)
|by Anonymous||reply 22||03/02/2013|
Who the fuck is he?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||03/03/2013|
What the fuck is this now?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||03/03/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 25||03/03/2013|
I can't understand a word that the white rapper has said.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||03/03/2013|
Some of these people SNL digs up for musical guests are just ... astounding.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||03/03/2013|
OMG! Vanilla Ice is back!
|by Anonymous||reply 28||03/03/2013|
Mackelmore has some twink looking legs.
I'm attracted to this outfit, and I hate myself for that. But I would def. let him stick it in if he promised to wear that jacket
|by Anonymous||reply 29||03/03/2013|
Macklemore was disappointing. "Thrift Shop" is actually a fun, witty song (and video). But none of the lyrics landed in that performance at all. And he can't dance. And he's not as attractive as he thinks he is.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||03/03/2013|
Stick what in, R29?
|by Anonymous||reply 31||03/03/2013|
His Irish meat
|by Anonymous||reply 32||03/03/2013|
Anytime SNL has a black host, I always think about Ellen Cleghorne, who said she used to rejoice whenever a black guy was hosting "because that meant [in all the sketches that week] I got to play the wife."
|by Anonymous||reply 33||03/03/2013|
Lauren Tewes is the new showrunner of SNL, but yu have to keep her away from the cocaine.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||03/03/2013|
Hold Up, wait a minute.
I suddenly just realise that SNL has no Black females.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||03/03/2013|
Justin Timberlake is host and musical guest next week and those shows are always great.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||03/03/2013|
Don Pardo doesn't do the live announcements anymore - too old. That's BILL HADER doing his Don Pardo impression.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||03/03/2013|
They need to bring back Bill Hader's Italian talk show host, he's definitely the most talented on the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||03/03/2013|
The Timberlake show won't be nearly as good without Andy Samberg and Lonely Island.
No more Dick in a box...
|by Anonymous||reply 39||03/03/2013|
[quote]Stick what in, [R29]? by: Rose Nylund, staying up past my bedtime
A fork into his rugelach, Rose!
|by Anonymous||reply 40||03/03/2013|
R39, I'm sure with Timberlake in the house, Samberg and his Lonely Island buddies will likely pop in as well.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||03/03/2013|
This Kevin Hart is a tiny little man.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||03/03/2013|
I'm tired of seeing ghostly pale whitey face every channel I turn but hey, you don't hear me complaining..
|by Anonymous||reply 44||03/03/2013|
[quote]Hold Up, wait a minute. I suddenly just realise that SNL has no Black females. Sad
Yeah, they do. That Nashim girl. And Mayo Rudoplh.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||03/03/2013|
Can you not say "God Damn" on TV? Why was it censored?
|by Anonymous||reply 46||03/03/2013|
[quote]Yeah, they do. That Nashim girl. And Mayo Rudoplh.
If you're talking about Nasim Pedrad, she's Iranian (raised in California) and Maya Rudolph has not been a regular for years, so no, they presently have no black female cast members.
And yes, that is pretty sad.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||03/03/2013|
Maya is only half black.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||03/03/2013|
So is President Obama, R48.
But he self-identifies as black, as does Maya.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||03/03/2013|
Mayo is not half white.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||03/03/2013|
Interesting that there are 50 replies, but none about the actual show last night. Definitely the worst of the season (so far). I didn't have much hope after the first sketch (steve harvey) was pathetic.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||03/03/2013|
I sat through an unfunny Barack Obama skit. Then an interminable opening monologue, one of those "story jokes" where you wait 7 minutes and then there is a sort of punchline. Then there was an unfunny skit with that fat black guy regular, who does every character the same- from Star Jones to Al Sharpton. Turned it off and went to bed.
But that's further than I usually get.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||03/03/2013|
I've never heard of him, but it was the funniest monologue in a loooong time. No stupid song & dance, no celeb reading from cue cards and carefully skewering some public perception: just jokes. I liked it.
Also, that Really!? was tepid, and it could've been epic.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||03/03/2013|
Oh, please, when Timberlake hosts they'll do the same three skits they've done every other time he's hosted, which is a shame because he's very funny and it would be interesting to see him do something new.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||03/03/2013|
WORST SNL EVER.
Couldn't fast forward past the musical guest quick enough
|by Anonymous||reply 55||03/03/2013|
I bet Samberg will be there next week with his buddy Timberlake.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||03/03/2013|
wow, some of you live in such a Lilly White prissy bubble. Kevin Hart is extremely popular right now, the "it" comic. He has been so for a while. Most young white know this because they do not wall themselves away from Urban culture; they embrace it. As for Macklemore, he probably the most popular new artist on the scene now. His song "Thrift Shop" held the number one spot on the charts for weeks.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||03/03/2013|
Ratings were up with Hart and Macklemore. Young people love them.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||03/04/2013|
I'm in my twenties, and I'd never heard of Macklemore until I watched that show. He must be some kind of NYC hipster act.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||03/04/2013|
That I know of, Kevin has NEVER done a Madea movie. OP (and others here) is an ass. And Kevin is a very funny little guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||03/04/2013|
KEVIN HART=PAINFULLY & ANNOYINGLY UNFUNNY
|by Anonymous||reply 61||01/18/2015|
[R61] You're painfully annoying and unfunny.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||01/18/2015|
Kevin Hart was showing much vpl during the James Brown skit.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||01/22/2015|
