Well you've had 3.5 seasons to look at Datalounge. What was your fave performance?

This post just drives home the importance of the comma.

When they covered that "nobody's home" answering machine tape you could buy in the 80's.
I'm glad you called, but I'm not home but I'll be back
before too long
You gotta leave your name you gotta leave your number

ditto ^^ Teenage Dream
|by Anonymous||reply 5||02/23/2013|
Unfortunately, Teenage Dream was where Glee peaked.

"Let's go all the way tonight No regrets Just love."
A boy singing that to another boy on television. I never thought I'd live that long. Even now I'm crying.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||02/23/2013|
I liked the Sue Sylvester/Olivia Newton-John "Physical" re-do.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||02/23/2013|
That, plus "Just the Way You Are" from Kurt to Finn.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||02/23/2013|
Bust your Windows sung by Mercedes from season 1
|by Anonymous||reply 11||02/23/2013|
I like that, too, R11.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||02/23/2013|
Some of my favorites are from Naya Rivera: Valerie, Songbird, River Deep Mountain High, Smooth Criminal. I also loved Kristin Chenowith singing Alone with Matthew Morrison, and Gwyneth doing Forget You.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||02/23/2013|
My third favorite, "Marry Me," from the same episode as R10. I thought they were singing about dancing Jews.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||02/23/2013|
R14 Burt Hummel, best TV dad EVER, beginning at 1:44.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||02/23/2013|
I also love Don't Rain on my Parade.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||02/23/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 17||02/23/2013|
"number" LOL who calls a song "number" anymore?
|by Anonymous||reply 18||02/23/2013|
"Run, Joey, Run"
"She's Not There"
|by Anonymous||reply 19||02/23/2013|
I don't have a favourite, but I hate number 2. That do that one alot lately.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||02/23/2013|
The Adele mash up sung by Mercedes and Santana.
The Vogue video parody sung by Sue Sylvester. (She's better than Madonna).
"Hate on Me" featuring Mercedes, Kurt, et. al.
"Heroes" sung by Sam and Blaine.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||02/23/2013|
I like the big production numbers over the solo performances. But then again, I like showtunes.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||02/24/2013|
Safety Dance choreographed by Zach Woodlee.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||02/24/2013|
Love the Adele mashup, r21.
Teenage Dream is iconic within the Glee fandom universe.
From this season I like 'Whistle' (by the Warblers) and the over the top 'Tell Him'.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||02/24/2013|
I agree with "Teenage Dream", but would also add their duet version of "Hello". Believe it or not, I prefer it to Lionel Richie's original.
Nearly all the other renditions suck, though... One of the reasons why Glee gets so much hate.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||02/24/2013|
Loved Kurt's "Rose's Turn" and could hear heads exploding as Chris Colfer got to do every Theater Queens wet dream, complete with red curtain and name in lights.
"Teenage Dream", the kid went from guest to star overnight.
Kristen Chenoweth & Matthew Morrison "One Less Bell". A beautiful fully sung through scene that earned Chenoweth a Emmy nomination.
"Safety Dance", Kevin McHale as Artie rises from his wheelchair at the mall to lead a flash mob, leading to a sad ending.
Colfer's "I Want To Hold Your Hand", Kurt in a hospital room with Burt, interspersed with clips of them when Kurt was a child. Yes, I admit I cried.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||02/24/2013|
That show was over after the first season.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||02/24/2013|
Kurt's father doing "all the single ladies"
|by Anonymous||reply 28||02/24/2013|
I never watched it watched it, but watching these clips, good god is it corny.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||02/24/2013|
[quote]I never watched it watched it, but watching these clips, good god is it corny
Every clip posted here has been altered. Fox is protective of the show and clips are deleted all the time. Half the picture of those clips are cut off. So you haven't seen the episode or the reason for the song, and have seen only a partial clip, so shaddddup. The wedding scene is wonderful.

Boogie Shoes by Unique
|by Anonymous||reply 32||02/24/2013|
which one is shortest?
|by Anonymous||reply 33||02/24/2013|
The gay lover kid that pretends to like Kurt is pretty short.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||02/24/2013|
Baby it's cold outside sung by Kurt and Blaine.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||02/24/2013|
Why do I picture you typing that with a lace handkerchief pressed to your nose?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||02/24/2013|
Teenage Dream - piano version by Darren Criss but also love the acapella version with theWarblers
|by Anonymous||reply 37||02/24/2013|
Just The Way You Are
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
|by Anonymous||reply 38||02/24/2013|
"Home" by Kristi Dawn
|by Anonymous||reply 39||02/24/2013|
No contest, Teenage Dream from Darren Criss and the Warblers.
2nd would be Don't Stop Believen by the Glee Cast.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||02/24/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 41||02/24/2013|
"Teenage Dream" was like every gay man's fantasy. Who wouldn't want the most handsome guy in High School to cyranate you? And, it's the first time you see Kurt happy and smiling.
The number worked so perfectly in Glee.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||02/24/2013|
[quote]Who wouldn't want the most handsome guy in High School to cyranate you?
I'm a top.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||02/24/2013|
Too funny, r43. 😃
|by Anonymous||reply 44||02/24/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 45||02/24/2013|
Oh Lord. I have better things to do than think back on the last three years of Glee performances. Sorry i stopped in.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||02/24/2013|
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face--cried when Santana sang about Brittney. Ben. To be fair, I cry whenever I hear Ben.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||02/24/2013|
Caugh Syrup not just because of Darren Criss, but because of Karofsky trying to hang himself while the song is performed.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||02/24/2013|
[quote]The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face--cried when Santana sang about Brittney. Ben. To be fair, I cry whenever I hear Ben.
Hell, I cried when we discovered Sue had a Down Syndrome sister and she read a story to her. Won Jane lynch The Emmy for it, and cried again when she dies and the Glee's sang Willy Wonka's Pure Imagination at her funeral.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||02/24/2013|
The Coldplay song in the "Break Up" episode this season. Very haunting.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||02/24/2013|
R48 Cough Syrup was great and great episode.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||02/24/2013|
Lea and Idina "Poker Face" (Lady Gaga), Jonathan Groff's "Rolling In The Deep" (Adele) and Darren Criss "Something's Coming" (from WEST SIDE STORY).
|by Anonymous||reply 52||02/24/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 53||02/24/2013|
Darren Criss and "The Warblers" doing Teenage Dream and Naya Rivera doing Valerie were two of the rare cases where the Glee version absolutely left the original in the dust.
I also really enjoyed Jayma Mays doing Wedding Bell Blues , and have to confess to loving Mark Salling and Dot Jones (Coach Bieste) duettting on Mean.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||02/24/2013|
Actually the Glee prom rendition of Rebecca Black's "Friday" was so much better it didn't seem like the same song.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||02/24/2013|
Unique doing Boogie Shoes in full drag. He sang the hell out of that song. Best Glee Performance evan..hunty.
Worst Sarah Jessica Parker doing Let's have a Kiki.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||02/24/2013|
wow, I haven't see GLEE in ages. Thank heavens for Unique, because the rest of the new kids are SOOOOOO bland and boring. I assume that they are all from the TV competition.
(And I agree, Boogie Shoes is pretty wonderful.)
|by Anonymous||reply 57||02/25/2013|
Queen's "Somebody To Love."
The Warblers doing both "Teenage Dream" and "Hey, Soul Sister."
Their original number "Light Up The World."
Kurt and Rachel duetting on "For Good."
|by Anonymous||reply 58||02/25/2013|
Santana & Mercedes, River Deep Mountain High
Teenage Dreams, both versions
Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me, by Emma Pillsbury, it was so surprising!
|by Anonymous||reply 59||02/25/2013|
[quote]Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me, by Emma Pillsbury, it was so surprising!
When they were auditioning actors, those without musical theater experience were required to sing a song to show that they could. That's the one Jayma Mays used, and I'm glad they incorporated it in the actual show, because, well, she's a ringer for Susan Sarandon in the 70s.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||02/25/2013|
Rachel's "Don't Rain on My Parade" and Unique's "Boogie Shoes".
|by Anonymous||reply 61||02/25/2013|
I think I'm the only person in the universe who like the AcaFellas.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||02/25/2013|
[quote]"Let's go all the way tonight No regrets Just love." A boy singing that to another boy on television. I never thought I'd live that long. Even now I'm crying.
Agree, except for the crying part. I think people don't realize how fucking groundbreaking this show has been.
I'm also a sucker for Naya doing anything, particularly Valerie.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||02/25/2013|
Love how few of these are Rachel's. Are you reading Ryan Murphy? Fans like Kurt, Darren, Naya and anyone but Lea!
|by Anonymous||reply 64||02/25/2013|
R64 I like "Take a Bow."
|by Anonymous||reply 65||02/25/2013|
I actually liked Lindsay Pearce, especially the Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do medley.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||02/25/2013|
The Adele mash-up and Don't Rain On My Parade.
Of course the one that started it all: Don't Stop Believing
|by Anonymous||reply 67||02/25/2013|
I loved the "Like A Virgin" scene where multiple characters were going to go all the way. Some did and some didn't.
[quote]Love how few of these are Rachel's. Are you reading Ryan Murphy? Fans like Kurt, Darren, Naya and anyone but Lea!
You have no idea what your talking about.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||02/25/2013|
I can *hear* Rachel, but I can't *see* Rachel, R68.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||02/25/2013|
Almost anything by the Warblers.
No love for Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"? (although I think the show changed a line)
|by Anonymous||reply 70||02/25/2013|
When I get you alone and The Boy is Mine
|by Anonymous||reply 71||02/25/2013|
Rumor Has It/Someone Like You - the trouble tones
|by Anonymous||reply 72||02/25/2013|
The number I think it was 4 minutes. When Kurt and Mercedes joined the Cheerios. That rocked.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||02/25/2013|
Are any if them with the white guy with the yellow skin?
|by Anonymous||reply 74||02/25/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 75||02/26/2013|
That was a great number R73, i also liked Rachels Dont Rain, the Adele mash up, the girls Shake it Out and the Blaine/Kurt Baby its Cold Outside. Glee has done some great music ispite of whatever else you might say.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||02/26/2013|
My partner loved this show for years and it annoyed me because, now and then, I thought I had to try to enjoy it.
My favorite is the "Ohio" duet between Sue and her mother, played by Carol Burnett, because Sue, whose character I detest, was so uncomfortable singing it.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||02/26/2013|
Wow, here is Matthew and Jayma dancing on the ceiling in next weeks episode about the movies. The rehearsal and timing must have been a bitch. I love Jayma on the shelf upside down.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||03/01/2013|
R78 When Fred Astaire did that (and I assume this is an homage to him), it was in color. So why is this in B&W?
|by Anonymous||reply 79||03/01/2013|
I loved when the cast sang "Master of Puppets"
|by Anonymous||reply 80||03/01/2013|
R at least it's not an homage to Lionel Richie. That song should never be heard again.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||03/02/2013|
Teenage Dream and Vogue. It hasn't been better.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||03/02/2013|
I Can't Go For That/You're Making My Dreams Come True
|by Anonymous||reply 83||03/02/2013|
Tonight's show! What other show are you going to get two guys singing this love song to each other...and they do a brilliant job too.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||03/07/2013|
This week..."At The Ballet" from "A Chorus Line" sung by Santana, Rachel, Kurt & Isabelle (Sarah Jessica Parker). This is why I love 'Glee', it brings out the theater queen in me.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||04/24/2013|
And this week... Jane Lynch doing "Little Girls" from "Annie", before she was cast in the current revival.
