Recruiting websites

Has anyone here actually gotten a job by uploading their resume to a company's website and not speaking to an actual person? I'm convinced these sites are a black hole and no one ever actually looks at the resumes being uploaded.

It's possible. I've been doing this and haven't heard anything back but why would they even give that option if they aren't going to utilize it?

Actually, I've received many calls from my Monster ad but I don't know the legitimacy of the companies because they were all offering temp jobs (3-6 months) and all required a security clearance (I'm in DC and don't work for the government, so, don't have one of those).

Because all jobs needed to be posted for EEOC reasons, R2. In a lot of cases jobs are posted to comply with those laws even if the company already knows who they're going to hire.

I get the need to be posted, but I've received actual phone calls from HR/recruiters.
