WEHT TO CERTAIN ONE HIT WONDERS?

Post your favorite and try to post an update.

I'll start with the often shirtless Jeremy Jordan who hit it big with 1993's "Right Kind of Love" which appeared on the 90210 soundtrack.

Jeremy had a role in Never Been Kissed after coming out of a rehab. In 1997 Jeremy turned to meth after he testified at a trial for the pedophile who sexually abused him while he lived in an orphanage.

Sad, but he seems like a good guy. He's currently trying to put a new album together.

Who did he play in Never Been Kissed?

by Anonymousreply 102/20/2013

He played the most popular guy in school, Guy, R1.

I always thought he was hideously ugly in "Never Been Kissed."

The guy who sang that irritating song "Hey There Delilah" a couple years ago.

And I'm going to make a prediction and say Ellie Goulding. That song "Lights" was cool (though I can't understand what she's saying), but she has been unable to follow it up.

That group who sang |pump pump the jam, pump it up

And the British girl group who sang |stay| what happened to them

Jeremy Jordan was on Broadway in Newsies and now has a role on NBC Smash

That's a different Jeremy Jordan, R7.

by Anonymousreply 802/22/2013

There is only ONE Jeremy Jordan R8

British girl group who sang Stay = Shakespeare's Sister. I think they had a couple other hits in Britain, but Stay was there only hit in the USA. Great song, too. Not sure why there was never a follow-up single to it.

WEHT Nu Shooz? I Can't Wait was one of my favorite summer songs from the late 80s.

r10

They stole that song from Stevie Nikks

Lulu!

R10, Shakespeare's Sister had some other great hits. "You're history" is even more fun than "Stay."

Siobhan Fahey who basically was Shakespear's Sister was also one of the original Bananaramas. She also used to be married to Dave Stewart from Eurythmics and sold one of her post-Shakespear's Sister's songs to Pussycat Dolls who had a pretty sizeable hit with it. I doubt she's hurting for money.

Another great Shakespear's Sister song "I don't care".

The other girl in Shakespear's Sister co-wrote "Lay Down Sally" so she's probably OK for royalties too!
