Linkedin or company website...

Which is the more effective way to get my resume seen? There's a great job I'd like to apply for on linkedin. The same posting appears directly on the company's website. Which is the best way to go? Do they wind up going to the same cyber inbox anyway?

Up for the OP to get some useful advice.

Depends on which one the company will use to fill the position, OP.

Company website. I got my job when I applied directly to the company website ("career opportunities" page).

I am currently looking, so take this for what its worth, but it seems like when I'm really interested in the job, I go to the company website and make the effort to go through their process. If I'm lukewarm, I'll take the "easy" route and go through linkedin. It feels like applying via Facebook. I have no idea which is better, but if I was a recruiter I'd be more interested in people who made the extra effort, small as it may be.

Would love to hear what others think about this.

Perhaps I'm stupid - why not do both?
