The 70s Glam Rock Thread

The 70s one-hit-wonder thread made me want talk about glam rock. Here's a good one, Mott the Hoople - All the Young Dudes. David Bowie heard that Mott was splitting up, so he wrote the song for them to encourage them not to. It's supposedly a gay anthem, and you can see the gay references with the title and a few other lines, though honestly it seems mostly gibberish. I love the music though.

Here's a wiki page that lists glam rock artists. It says the classic glam rock era was '71 -'76, but also lists post-'76 glam artists.
