Fox News signs Herman Cain

2/15/13

Fox News has signed Herman Cain, the former Republican presidential candidate, as a contributor.

"Cain’s impressive résumé makes him a valuable addition to the Fox News and Fox Business lineup. As a political expert with business savvy, he brings an important voice to the nation’s debates," Bill Shine, the executive vice president of programming, said in a statement.

Cain, former president and CEO of Godfather's Pizza, will provide analysis and commentary across Fox News's daytime and primetime programming, as well as on the Fox Business Network, Shine said.

Cain's hire comes just days after Fox News announced that it had signed former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown as a contributor, and weeks after the departure of former contributors Sarah Palin and Dick Morris.

Oh Jesus, Fox has officially become Faux. Even for Faux Newes, hiring Herman Cain is huge embarrassment.

by Anonymousreply 402/15/2013

His only value to Fox News is that he is a black Republican.

Just another example of Republican tokenism.

His wife has no comment.

Do you ever feel sorry for people who have to write those quotes for their douchebag bosses or companies?

I'm picturing some 42-year-old lady journalist who had to cross over to Corporate Communications since there are now more editorial jobs and as a single mom, she has three kids to feed. She dies a little inside every time they bring her a new pig to adorn with red lipstick.

He can barely string a sentence together, not that that's a requirement at Fox.

[quote] Cain’s impressive résumé makes him a valuable addition. Cain, former president and CEO of Godfather's Pizza

Really? The only Godfather's Pizza chain I ever heard of was in Florida in the early 1980's. They all went out of closed and I haven't heard about them after the 1980's. I've traveled all over the country for business in the last 25 yrs and I'm 99.9% positive I've never seen a Godfather's Pizza chain

Where did he get his money from? He's a crackpot, so I don't see him as some business or management super star. Although being a damn crackpot is what makes him a valuable addition to faux news

[quote]Cain ... will provide analysis and commentary

Just who I want analyzing & commenting -- the guy who said "we need a leader, not a reader".

Godfather's Pizzas left North Carolina in the 1980s

by Anonymousreply 2002/16/2013

I guess he's Fox's answer to Al Sharpton.

by Anonymousreply 2102/16/2013

Has anyone noticed that pizza business executives all seem to be Rethuglicans? There was the guy who founded (and sold) Domino's Pizza, Pappa John's owner, and Cain of Godfather's.

Business executives/CEO period, R22.

by Anonymousreply 2302/16/2013

Not really, r23. There are plenty of Democratic business owners. We only hear about the ugly Republican'ts, because they are so shockingly vile.
