Safe Haven is "Pure Heaven" say Moviegoers
I was invited to a free advanced screening of the new romantic comedy Safe Haven and almost didn't go but changed my mind because of the cast. I mean, hello? Josh Duhamel? Now I could report to you all that I eavesdropped at the screening.
People were pumped to see this movie. The anticipation was as high as The Notebook. The energy in the room was electric.
"It's starting. It's starting. Shhh..." gushed the man sitting next to me. But the chatter never stopped throughout the whole movie.
"Julienne Huff is a revelation," whispered moviegoer Benjamin in the front row. "I concur. Hear, hear," shrieked his lover Kyan.
"Josh Duhamel is the kind of man you can count on to do the right thing," proclaimed holidaymaker Matthew.
"He has such a cute perky cock," his companion interjected.
And when the twist ending came, there were audible gasps and screams in the theater. "Did not see that coming," said rom-com fan Christopher.
When the credits rolled, everyone gave a standing ovation. "Pure heaven," they all concurred.
Please please please DO NOT give away the twist ending when discussing #SafeHaven in your social media.

Ohh la la, hubba hubba, the gays likey likey.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 4||02/15/2013|
R1-4 is the same person. And he sounds a lot like OP.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 6||02/15/2013|
Ohh la la, hubba hubba, the gays likey likey.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 8||02/15/2013|
He's in my top 10. Hot as hell.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 10||02/15/2013|
Based on a @SparksNicholas novel, #SafeHaven is an affirming & suspenseful story about a young woman’s struggle to love again. IN THEATERS: February 14, 2013!!!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 11||02/15/2013|
Yes, R10, he's hot as hell. I concur. He's in my top 10 as well.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 12||02/15/2013|
He was the hottest in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 13||02/15/2013|
Wow, he was so young before.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 14||02/15/2013|
STOP trying to make Julianne Hough happen. She's NOT happening!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 15||02/15/2013|
Oh yes she is, bitchtroll @ r15.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 16||02/15/2013|
Wow the PR shills are in full force. A desperate last ditch effort to make this flop seem like a hit. Julianne "never gonna happen" Hough really is box office poison.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 18||02/15/2013|
Isn't he decades older than she is?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 19||02/15/2013|
He's 40 and she's 23. It's only a 17-year difference but it works on screen. May-December romances are all the rage now. Yes, he's old enough to be her father, but don't think of it that way and you'll enjoy the film. Think of it as a reverse Ashton and Demi.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 20||02/15/2013|
Troll dar R20 and look at all the pretty yellow!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 21||02/15/2013|
I can't tell if OP is being satirical, if he's a studio shill, or just a vapid queen. Well done!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 22||02/15/2013|
I saw the movie Wednesday night at a special preview. Josh is not half bad. I wonder what he could do if given a challenging role. The movie is terrible. How did Julianne Hough get the starring role? Did Ryan Seacrest put a lot of his money into the movie?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 23||02/15/2013|
You're so right, r20. I'm almost 40 and Ju Ju Bean & I are a hot hip happening couple.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 24||02/15/2013|
Oh someone PLEASE spoil the ending. This smarmy thread begs for it.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 25||02/15/2013|
Butterfly's honey, is that you?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 26||02/15/2013|
Jo is a figment of Katie's imagination and her abusive ex finds her and tries to kill her and he DIES.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 28||02/15/2013|
People, people, trust me, the age difference is not an issue at all... like at all. At the screening I went to people were commenting on the age difference but all agreed it was not a concern.
"She sure is young," hissed Julianne Hough fan Gregory when Julianne Hough first appeared onscreen.
"But age shouldn't be a concern. Age is just a number," countered his partner Mochi.
"Oh my Sparks, you're right. It's only 17 years."
"That's less than two decades," replied Mochi. "No big deal."
In the back of the theater, 64-year-old cinema-goer Theodore guffawed, "I buy them as a legitimate couple. The age difference does not bother me at all."
"It doesn't bother me either," said Theodore's 24-year-old "son" Jeremy. "Thanks for bringing me to see #SafeHaven, Daddy. It's swell!"
So you see, the age difference is not a concern at all to audiences so it shouldn't be a concern for you. Just go with it and not ask questions.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 29||02/15/2013|
as long as he doesn't speak. His voice is even more disappointing than david beckhams
|by #SafeHaven||reply 30||02/15/2013|
I think it's time we all started boycotting The Village Voice and Rolling Stone.
"Hough emits all the charisma of a personal assistant." - Melissa Anderson, The Village Voice
"I hate Safe Haven. It's a terrible thing to do to your Valentine." - Peter Travels, Rolling Stone
Get the stick out of your asses, guys, and just go with it. I can't believe these humorless pricks call themselves critics. Don't listen to them.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 31||02/15/2013|
Stupid movie, Hough is annoying, and the gays hate it. NEXT!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 33||02/15/2013|
12% rating at rottentomatoes
|by #SafeHaven||reply 35||02/15/2013|
Ms. Sparks refuses to write a gay book because that's not what the people want. Boycott her ass.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 36||02/15/2013|
No one cares about critics, R35. The Notebook also got horrible reviews but people love it.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 37||02/15/2013|
R17, Thanks. Now I know where OP's reference to "cute, perky cock" comes from. (As if a man's cock meant more to his appeal than other factors.) Where is that naked pic from? Bravo again DL.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 38||02/15/2013|
This PR thread is fucking hilarious.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 39||02/15/2013|
R29, The age difference is major part of the story line. Josh plays a widower with kids, who doesn't expect to fall in love again. Personally, the best thing in the movie is the cinematography and the setting. It's a beautiful looking flick. As a said in a different thread, after a critics' preview last week, I want to fuck the cinematographer.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 40||02/15/2013|
R36, Sparks could easily have added a gay couple, as a secondary story line, to any of his novels. I think that statements' a cop out.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 41||02/15/2013|
The Notebook didn't get trashed. It got 52%. This new piece of drek got 12%!!!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 42||02/15/2013|
Wow, thanks OP! I sure will be buying tickets this weekend! I wonder if I can get a group discount if I bring the girls? We'll go to the Melting Pot beforehand!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 43||02/15/2013|
This thread is piss yellow.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 44||02/15/2013|
The ads make it look like a Lifetime movie or some sappy Harlequin-esque romance.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 45||02/15/2013|
The complete movie plot presented for your enjoyment.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 46||02/15/2013|
Would you like ketchup with those fries?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 47||02/15/2013|
Let's see -- the Dad gets to fuck the babysitter and the gal has someone to help her pay off her student loans.
A 21st Century Love Story!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 49||02/15/2013|
The twist is in Wikipedia and it is horrific.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 50||02/15/2013|
Julianna Ho gushed: "When I had to be passionate with Josh I would just think of how Ryan really likes to pump my pussy. My manpussy, if you know what I mean."
|by #SafeHaven||reply 51||02/15/2013|
Sounds a lot like Sleeping with the Enemy.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 52||02/15/2013|
Well, this is proof of datalounge's success that we get such an obvious PR troll.
We are tastemakers!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 54||02/15/2013|
What a hilarious ESTy-troll. Who expects the ES the T presents to be a clever parody of a PR flak?
However, the problem with being a too-successful troll is that ultimately you can't tell the difference between the troller and the real thing.
So it becomes both irritating and creepy.
This movie will flop, and the Ho(ugh) in question - Get it? Get it? Ho (UGH0 - will disappear. Plus the fact that Joshy timed his impregnation of his wife to his movie will be a turn-off.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 55||02/15/2013|
Looks like it's going to be the number 1 movie this weekend overtaking Die Hard. Julianne Huff is a bigger star than Bruce Willis!
|by #SafeHaven||reply 56||02/15/2013|
Julianne Hough should stick to dancing but it looks like a light romantic harmless film BUT: that plot twist is idiotic; wonder why the writer thought it necessary. Also wonder how Hough got cast; must be tons of actresses in that age range who would have been better...
|by #SafeHaven||reply 57||02/15/2013|
She said she is a movie stah now and will not go back to DWTS.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 58||02/15/2013|
Considering her performance has widely been described like that of a crash test dummy, I'm not sure about her future film prospects.
Vulture needs to do a Buy, Sell, Hold on Julianna Hough. Just for fun.

the worst acting i have ever seen, J. sorry, you won't be ANYTHING
|by #SafeHaven||reply 62||02/16/2013|
Can anyone tell me if movies #5 Warm Bodies and #6 Beautiful Creatures are worth the the $5 charge? I've seen #1 and #2 already (for free.) Best part of both = cinematography. Interesting to see what modern day Moscow really looks like.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 63||02/16/2013|
Beautiful Creatures was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Stay away.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 64||02/16/2013|
There's something wrong with those box office figures.

#1 romantic comedy in America. Suck it, bitches.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 66||02/16/2013|
Wasn't it initially supposed to be a romantic thriller, Julie?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 67||02/17/2013|
Yes, Ry and I created a new genre.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 68||02/17/2013|
Actually, it will barely come in at #3.
Melissa McCarthy is the actual star of the weekend.
|by #SafeHaven||reply 69||02/17/2013|
I've never seen so much yellow from troll-dar on Datalounge.
OK, OP, are you Duhamel's agent or just a studio hack?
|by #SafeHaven||reply 70||02/17/2013|
Audiences are going back to the theaters to see Safe Haven for a second straight weekend in a row, say audiences.
