Helena B-C and Dominic West to play Liz & Dick

But Lindsay's film will always be the gold standard.

Helena as Liz. No, just no.

It's good casting because it will take place in 1983 when Liz and Dick did Private Lives on Broadway. Liz had lost her looks years earlier. So H B C will be fine.

Helena Bonham-Carter is a great actress. She'll be swell in the role. Loved her in the movie adaptation of 'Les Mierables.'

All that's left for Lindsay is a sub-gender biopic called "Les and Dick".

It's about time HBC did something that doesn't involve dressing like a witch.

Iake it that Tim Burton will be directing?

It's Liz Taylor in 1983. She'll still be dressing like a witch. A witch wearing caftans and earrings.

Well she knows a thing or two about Burtons.

Dominic West is a curious choice for Dick. Not that he won't act it like a boss, but he wouldn't be the first person who popped into my head for the casting.

Full frontal nudity please. Dominic is fucking hot.

Oh good, this is going to be the middle-aged, drunk, pill-popping crazy Liz that we all love.

by Anonymousreply 1002/12/2013

Grant Bowler was actually quite a credible Burton. The least they could have done was get a Welshman this time.

Good choice.
