Do you think Heath Ledger would have made a better Harry Potter than Daniel Radcliffe?

Heath's so much hotter and more talented than Daniel, at any age. I'm sure the studio wanted to have cast him in the first and all the subsequent movies, except JK Rowling had that stupid thing about only casting British actors. She should have allowed Aussies.

by Anonymousreply 5102/13/2013

You're out of your mind. Do you know that?

by Anonymousreply 102/09/2013

Heath Ledger troll strikes again.

by Anonymousreply 202/09/2013

Heath would also have made a much better Anakin Skywalker. He's much better looking than Hayden Christiansen, and no one would deny he's a better actor. George Lucas was stupid not to cast him.

He also would have made a great Jar Jar Binks, for that better. He was much handsomer than that dumb CGI thing.

by Anonymousreply 302/09/2013

Heath would have been better than Meryl Streep in "Sophie's Choice".

by Anonymousreply 402/09/2013

OP, please stop with the Heath Ledger threads. It's very sad. On your part and his.

by Anonymousreply 502/09/2013

If it's any consideration, OP, I hear he IS being considered for the reboot of Weekend at Bernie's.

by Anonymousreply 602/09/2013

Heh! Funniest thread all day. No way could he have carried it off.

by Anonymousreply 702/09/2013

I did not like Heath Ledger in his role of "Joker".

by Anonymousreply 802/09/2013

The bigger crime is that he was robbed by not getting the part as John Huston's Annie in 1982.

by Anonymousreply 902/09/2013

R8 is a moron.

R3 is kind of brilliant.

by Anonymousreply 1002/09/2013

Honestly, if you don't want to get therapy for your obsession with Ledger, fine. It's your life.

But will you stop posting ten new threads every fucking day! Find a fan board or something.

by Anonymousreply 1102/09/2013

Heath would have made a better corpse in "The Big Chill" than Kevin Kostner.

by Anonymousreply 1202/09/2013

Heath would have done a better Superbowl halftime show than Beyonce. He's a much better actor than she'll ever be and he has thinner thighs. The NFL was stupid not to hire him.

by Anonymousreply 1302/09/2013

Good Grief, the man is dead, and either cremated or rotted. Let him rest in peace.

by Anonymousreply 1402/09/2013

Heath wasn't very good looking. He was a horrible father and a junkie.

It's funny how you white folk always make the stars out as victims. If a brother is on drugs and OD's after buying them in a park, he's a loser junkie.

But if a rich actor is on drugs and ODs, he's a victims of physicians who "allowed" him to doctor shop.

This racist double standard needs to stop.

by Anonymousreply 1502/09/2013

Everyone knows that Jerry Herman wanted Heath for MAME. As MAME, not Patrick, but Warner's wanted to go with a known talent in Lucy.

by Anonymousreply 1602/09/2013

That's not true, Gary Morton talked Heath out accepting the role.

by Anonymousreply 1702/09/2013

He would have been stellar as Francine Fishpaw.

by Anonymousreply 1802/09/2013

You're in luck, OP!

Heath has been cast in the next Harry Potter flick, "Hogwarts Zombie Takeover - This time it's personal!"

It was typecasting really.

by Anonymousreply 1902/09/2013

Heath Ledger Troll, I have noticed that you often post about Heath in present tense.

by Anonymousreply 2002/09/2013

R15 has to be a parody post. No one is that clueless.

by Anonymousreply 2102/09/2013

Heath Ledger. That name sounds familiar. Wasnt he the balding junkie who died ages ago?

by Anonymousreply 2202/09/2013

Do I have to be the boring, clueless poster to point out that Ledger was born in 1979, which would have made him 21/22 at the time the first Harry Potter movie was made in 2001? He's a full decade older than Radcliffe, yes he is.

by Anonymousreply 2302/09/2013

Heath as Mame!

by Anonymousreply 2402/09/2013

"Gary Morton talked Heath out accepting the role."

Did he wisely talk Heath out of accepting the role?

by Anonymousreply 2502/09/2013

r23, at 21/22 Heath would have been far more capable at memorizing dialogue and complicated spells for the film. Radcliffe's 12 year old brain would have hardly been developed as Heath. If only the idiots making the film had a basic grasp of human maturation and psychology.

Those idiots are lucky Radcliffe didn't take someone's eye out with an errant wand thrust or destroy anything on set with a magic spell gone wrong. 12 year olds get into trouble like that, 21/22 year olds do not. Heath is simply the better choice for the movie, admit it.

by Anonymousreply 2602/09/2013

I think Heath would have made a great "Frodo".

by Anonymousreply 2702/09/2013

You tend to blur the line between fiction & reality, don't you, R26?

by Anonymousreply 2802/09/2013

He would have made a better Kramer than me. But you know, I was young and insecure, so I slept with the producer ... well, you know the rest.

by Anonymousreply 2902/09/2013

Heath should have played Maedea.

by Anonymousreply 3002/09/2013

What I wish Ang Lee had done was realized that Heath was so much more handsome and sexy than Jake Gyllenhaal that Heath had played both roles of Jack and Ennis, in split screen, wearing different make-up with different hair colors and facial hair. Lee could have used really sophisticated CGI in the sex scene to have (in effect) Heath fuck himself.

Then the ending would have been even sadder (because after all, we'd have lost one of our Heath Ledgers!)

by Anonymousreply 3102/09/2013

Actually, casting him as Anakin Skywalker would have been great!

Well, great for the Star Wars franchise, maybe not so great for Ledger. But he was the right age (21 when "AotC" was made), and might have had enough raw talent to have survived George Lucas's direction.

by Anonymousreply 3202/09/2013

We have your room ready, R31. Right this way.

by Anonymousreply 3302/09/2013

One thing is sure. He would have been a great Dorothy in Golden Girls, but he didn't put out for Marc Cherry so he didn't get the part. Stupid move, Heath. You'd be a legend by now.

by Anonymousreply 3402/09/2013

Heath would have made a great Snape

by Anonymousreply 3502/09/2013

Heath was too young to play Snape.

He would have been prefect for the young Aniken Skywalker in the final two prequels though.

by Anonymousreply 3602/09/2013

Oh, bless your heart, R36.

by Anonymousreply 3702/09/2013

[quote]He would have been prefect for the young Aniken Skywalker in the final two prequels though.

He would have been even more prefect as Ford Prefect in "A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

by Anonymousreply 3802/09/2013

Heath wore make-up with such panache as the Joker that it makes me sad George Lucas did not consider him to play Queen Amidala. Plus he's much better looking than Natalie Portman.

by Anonymousreply 3902/09/2013

He would have made an awesome dowager on Downton Abbey.

by Anonymousreply 4002/09/2013

"Heath wore make-up with such panache"

As "Joker" his makeup was overdone.

by Anonymousreply 4102/09/2013

[quote]As "Joker" his makeup was overdone.

Then he'd be perfect as Queen Amidala. Her makeup was not subtle either.

by Anonymousreply 4202/09/2013

Heath would have made a great Herbie the Love Bug. Sexy chassis ....vroom! Vroom!

by Anonymousreply 4302/09/2013

I see him as the Julianne Moore role in "Far from Heaven."

by Anonymousreply 4402/10/2013

Seriously, R44

by Anonymousreply 4502/11/2013

He would have been to old for the role. An awesome actor though. To the ignorant troll who said Heath was a junkie, he was not. You do not know what you are talking about. There are people who do and it sure is not you. Sad that people like you lap up the crap by the spoon feeding media. People like you buy their mags and pay for their lifestyle. Ever think that just maybe the general public does not know everything about an actor? just maybe he was a normal human being with health issues just like everyone else? Oh and jealous much?!

by Anonymousreply 4602/11/2013

I would prefer Heath Ledger as Uncle Poodle on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but Uncle Poodle already has that role.

by Anonymousreply 4702/11/2013

On the fifth anniversary of his death, we can only ponder the many great roles he would have gone on to play had he lived.

Thor... Lincoln... Mary Todd Lincoln...

by Anonymousreply 4802/11/2013

I can see him as "Lorelei" in "Gentlemen prefer Blondes".

by Anonymousreply 4902/12/2013

[quote]He would have been to old for the role.

Impossible! He was the greatest actor of all time. As such, he transcended age!

by Anonymousreply 5002/12/2013

I'll say it - I've never thought he was exceptionally great (secretly I did love him in 10 Things I Hate About You). His performance in Batman was one of the worst I have seen and definitely the most annoying. The ONLY reason he won the Oscar for best supporting actor was because he OD'd.
