The Movie "Clue"

This is the best, campiest movie ever. Let's discuss!

by Anonymousreply 3002/10/2013

"There's one thing I don't understand ...." "ONE thing?"

by Anonymousreply 102/08/2013

"Flames..FLAMES...on the side of my face"

by Anonymousreply 202/08/2013

"To make a long story short ..." "TOO LATE!"

by Anonymousreply 302/08/2013

How about "Murder by Death"?

by Anonymousreply 402/08/2013

Our lives are in danger, you beatnik!

by Anonymousreply 502/08/2013

Was the movie a hit at the box office?

Stellar cast all around. Especially Lesley, Colleen and Madeline.

by Anonymousreply 602/08/2013

I love Martin Mull and Tim Curry, mincing about.

by Anonymousreply 702/08/2013

One of my favorite movies. I have it DL'd on every device I own. Murder by Death, I saw that on Amazon Prime...I tried to watch it once but I think I'll give it another chance.

by Anonymousreply 802/08/2013

No, not a hit. I loved it and saw it four times in the theatre, trying to get all three endings.

You mean the one where you can choose from multiple endings? The one with Tim Curry in it?

by Anonymousreply 1102/09/2013

"Mrs. Peacock was a man?"

by Anonymousreply 1202/09/2013

I use R3's line all the time -- even though it's rude. I can't help it. I love it.

by Anonymousreply 1302/09/2013

Clue was stupid but Murder by Death brilliant.

by Anonymousreply 1402/09/2013

It was good campy fun, and the different endings was a great concept back in the day.

by Anonymousreply 1502/09/2013

I watched Murder by Death recently, it doesn't hold up as well. Clue is always delightful.

"I am your singing telegram!"

I watched Clue recently, it did not hold up well. Murder by Death is always delightful.

I'm shouting, I'm shouting, I'm SHOUTING! (Clunk!)

by Anonymousreply 1902/09/2013

The DVD features all three endings. The version shown on TV also shows all three endings.

by Anonymousreply 2002/09/2013

Actually, the three ending gimmick backfired. A lot of people stayed away because they felt they were missing part of the movie unless they saw the movie three times. Some movie theaters posted which ending was used at each showing, some theaters ended up showing all three endings at each performance. The film cause a lot of ill feeling between theater owners and the distributor.

by Anonymousreply 2102/09/2013

Didn't like it. At all. That includes the overrated "flames" line. It simply wasn't funny. I disliked the writing and casting. Not dressing the characters in their iconic colors was a huge missed opportunity.

by Anonymousreply 2202/09/2013

Was it called Cluedo in the UK?

by Anonymousreply 2302/09/2013

A murder mystery that has three different endings is a poorly constructed mystery.

R22 Aren't men like you usually called a "fruit"?

by Anonymousreply 2502/09/2013

Well, smell you R22

by Anonymousreply 2602/09/2013

[quote]R22, Aren't men like you usually called a "fruit"?

No. I'm going home to have sex with my wife. And while I am, please learn to spell "Scarlet".

by Anonymousreply 2702/09/2013

Oh! THAT'S tacky.

by Anonymousreply 2802/09/2013

You should not speak with an accent when you know I am so hungry!

by Anonymousreply 2902/09/2013

The Soviets were just a Red Herring!
