That In-n-Out Burger Billionairess

What's the big deal? She inherited the business. It's not like she created from the ground up which would be impressive for one so young.

The media is making a big deal out of it like she was personally responsible for it.

Just like The Donald...

by Anonymousreply 102/06/2013

R1 is right... she has a publicist working overtime to maker her into a media-darling.

by Anonymousreply 202/06/2013

Can someone post a picture of her, because I always wanted to know what she looked like?

by Anonymousreply 302/06/2013

I had a burger from there for the very first time a few weeks ago while I was in San Diego and it was heaven. Absolutely delicious. Shame it's only located out west.

by Anonymousreply 402/06/2013

i saw her on the news today, i believe they said she's 35yrs old (grand parents started the biz), she's been married 3 times, is mom to twins and her hobby is racing cars.

by Anonymousreply 502/06/2013

Apparently she has inherited the whole enchilada because she is the only survivor of a very dyfunctional family. I heard something about prescription over-dose deaths and that sort of thing. Having a billion dollar business handed to you by default is hardly something to boast about.

by Anonymousreply 602/06/2013

She sounds awesome. I want to be her friend.

by Anonymousreply 702/07/2013

r3 the link is for you. Her name is Lynsi Torres. She has no college degree and no business background. She claimed in a lawsuit filed against in-n-out that she has "minimal business involvement in the business decisions."

Read about her in the in the Bloomberg article.

"she is the only survivor of a very dyfunctional family. I heard something about prescription over-dose deaths and that sort of thing"

Oooh, and this is the company that puts little references to bible verses on their burger wrappers?

by Anonymousreply 902/07/2013

The fact that they are using the Bible as a sales gimmick probably means that they don't really believe it.

by Anonymousreply 1002/07/2013

Their burgers are gross. They're slathered in onions. And they make their workers wear idiotic outfits and hats.

by Anonymousreply 1102/07/2013

So her grandparents were Jewish I assume? Did someone like her father Rich convert to Xtianity?

by Anonymousreply 1202/07/2013

She'll be dead in 5 years time. Easy come easy go.

by Anonymousreply 1302/07/2013

I think some of her family got killed in a plane crash -- their plane flipped and was dashed to the ground when they followed a larger, stub wing plane too closely and got caught in the vortex.

by Anonymousreply 1402/07/2013

Isn't In-n-Out the Chick Filet of burgers?

by Anonymousreply 1502/07/2013

They do have the Bible quotes in their cups, but I've never heard of them supporting antigay politicians or groups, or taking antigay positions on any issues.

by Anonymousreply 1602/07/2013

Bikini bottoms and tops for sale... how mighty Christian of them.

by Anonymousreply 1702/07/2013

Does she like the ladies?

by Anonymousreply 1802/07/2013

In and Out is open on Sundays :)

by Anonymousreply 2002/07/2013

The most fabulous thing about In 'n' Out is you can order them WITHOUT ONIONS!

Jesus, when did the stupid bus pull up?

by Anonymousreply 2102/07/2013

Only in America can you become vastly wealthy selling incredibly mediocre burgers with bible verses printed on the wrappers.

Praise Jebus!

by Anonymousreply 2202/07/2013

Burgers are so-so, the meat has an off quality, definitely low grade. People just like them because they're cheap.

by Anonymousreply 2302/07/2013

Silent lucidity.

by Anonymousreply 2402/07/2013

Printing Bible verses on things doesn't automatically indicate homophobia. I'm a practicing Episcopalian and bisexual woman. You can be gay or bi and Christian and LGBt-friendly and Christian.

by Anonymousreply 2502/07/2013

They don't print bible verses. They print the name of the book and verse number only. Like John 2:1, or some such.

by Anonymousreply 2602/08/2013

Who the fuck are we talking about exactly? OP acts like this is a Kardashian we're dealing with.

by Anonymousreply 2702/08/2013

Those burgers are salty as fuck and not worth the 20 minute wait!

by Anonymousreply 2802/09/2013

I've never been to In-n-Out, but I certainly wouldn't wait 20 minutes at any fast food joint.
