Fox News drops Dick Morris
Fox News has decided not to renew its contract with political commentator and pollster Dick Morris, an industry official tells POLITICO's Mike Allen.
Morris, who was on contract with Fox News throughout the 2012 presidential campaign, had not appeared on the network for almost three months after Fox News president Roger Ailes decided to keep him off the network. He is scheduled to appear on CNN on Wednesday.
Morris served as an adviser to President Bill Clinton but later became one of the Clintons' staunchest critics. He was an adamant supporter of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney during the 2012 elections, and frequently predicted that Romney would beat President Obama in a landslide.

CNN is probably DYING to hire all of Fox's rejects. Sarah Palin next.

I hope this is just a guest appearance on Piers Morgan to talk about politics and not the beginning of a regular gig, otherwise I may have to stop watching CNN.
It would be ludicrous of CNN to hire Morris after even a network like Fox realized how crazy he is.

It would be a ridiculous move on CNN's part. If they want to maintain a shred of credibility, they won't go there.

Fox is now officially Dick-less.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||02/05/2013|
Dick Morris is creepy. Creepy crawly creepy.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||02/05/2013|
So is Piers Morgan for that matter R5.

What the hell is wrong with CNN?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||02/05/2013|
Dick Morris was instrumental in Clinton's "Third Way" and "Triagulation" bullshit phase. Thank him for DOMA and DADT.
He's a scumbag of the highest order, right up there with Rove and Cheney IMO.

CNN is desperate for Fox viewers R7, they'll do anything to get them.

Budget tightening time at Fox. They're cutting the deadwood.

[quote]CNN is desperate for Fox viewers
According to whom?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||02/05/2013|
According to their rock bottom ratings that have caused them to cater to the Tea Party and conservatives for the past 3 years.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||02/05/2013|
It's astounding that Morris lasted as long as he did. The man was dead wrong. Again and again and again. Well below 50%. If he predicted X, you could smartly put money down on Y.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||02/05/2013|
How is he gonna pay for those hookers now?
|by Anonymous||reply 14||02/05/2013|
Yeah, the hooker story. A hooker he hired came public and said that he had a dominate streak and he had a foot and shoe fetish.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||02/05/2013|
Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch are old men now and the vultures are circling. Certainly once Roop's death grip on News Corp is finally loosened there'll be a change in policy at Fox. I wouldn't be surprised if it's liquidated.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||02/05/2013|
Oh darn, he was so informative and personable.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||02/05/2013|
Just thinking about the Fox News slogan, "Fair and Balanced" ….
How can these folks continue to use it with a straight face.
It's simply ridiculous to maintain this charade.

If they did that, there wouldn't be anyone left.

[quote]They're cutting the deadwood.
Rupert had better keep his legs crossed.

I thought this was a job requirement for Fox.

[quote]he had a dominate streak...
It's "DOMINANT" you dope! "Dominate" is always a verb, regardless of how you mispronounce it!

[quote]CNN is desperate for Fox viewers [R7], they'll do anything to get them.
No they're not. They're more interested in competing with MSNBC right now than FOX. If they wanted FOX viewers, they wouldn't have canned the Tea Party guy Erick Erickson or Mary Matalin.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||02/06/2013|
Are they going to go all liberal then? Because that's the only way they can compete with MSNBC.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||02/06/2013|
No, I don't think they're not going to go all liberal. But I do think they are making some changes based on what their new President Jeff Zucker is doing.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||02/06/2013|
don't think they're going to go all liberal
|by Anonymous||reply 27||02/06/2013|
Ok R26/27, it will be interesting to watch what develops there.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||02/06/2013|
Anyone see him on Piers Morgan tonight? what did he say?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||02/07/2013|
Such a bloodbath since Obama got re-elected.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||02/07/2013|
Dammit, R15, it's dominant, not dominate. Learn the difference between adjectives and verbs.
