Fierce actress taken way too soon by cancer. Despite her size, she was light on her feet and often played well doing physical comedy. Thread started for the DLer in the "Roseanne Inconsistencies" thread.

Loved, loved, LOVED her in Women In Prison.

I bet she was an awesome faghag. She was great on "Bosom Buddies."

The Beatles movie she was in is such a guilty pleasure of mine. It used to be shown all the time on TV but hasn't been on in ages.

"I Wanna Hold Your Hand".
She was great in "Bachelor Party". I loved the part where she went wild in Chippendales on that dancer, and at the end where she layed the smackdown on her husband.

Fierce? She was likable and good at light comedy, but let's not get too carried away.

I loved her in "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". She should've been a bigger star.
And I'm probably the only person who remembers her show, "Babes", from the Fox network's first year. She was a dancer, so she was a "skinny" fat girl. I think she had to wear oversized clothes on that show to make her look bigger.

Yes honey, FIERCE!

Loved her in "Moving Violations". The scene where she misinterprets the auto "doctor" and drinks vegetable oil, runs in traffic, and then gets onto the car lift buck naked was hilarious.

First saw her in Bu bu bu bu bu bu bu Babes!

Nope, I remember that show too and liked it a lot. WHET Leslie Boone?

She was usually the highlight of any show she was in.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||02/03/2013|
I watched Babes but it wasn't that funny. Obscure little Fox sitcoms at least broke out of the mold of their mainstream alternatives, but Married With Children was about the only truly funny one.

I LOVED her in "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" My favorite scene is when she throws herself out of the car to call into the radio station and gets to the pay phone and just throws the change at the phone. She was a gem.

Sadly, Susan Peretz, the oldest "Babe", died of breast cancer a year before Wendie Jo died of the same disease.

She was a bright spot in Spielberg's trainwreck "1941."

Go to the 6:30 point in this video for the scene in I Wanna Hold Your Hand where she flings herself from the car. Hilarious!

If she'd been any bigger, she'd have to be in cinemascope!

Agree with everyone about her role in "I Want To Hold Your Hand". Wonderful.

Thanks for the link to I Want to Hold Your Hand youtube link. I had forgotten about this movie. I also forgot how much I enjoyed it as a kid. There are 9 videos for the whole movie.
wasn't the redhead girl Paul Newman's daughter?
That was Nancy Allen, as Pam, right? She was so pretty. I remember wondering why she was grabbing her skirt after the show? now, I know. wondr what she's up to now.
I remember Wendie from Designing Women. "yeah, right, fantastic". Also, on Bossom Buddies. She always stole the spotlight.
Every scene she was in, you couldnt' take your eyes off her.
