Let's take bets on her set list. Destiny's Child is supposed to reform for this. "Say My Name" will be there. "Crazy In Love"? "Single Ladies"?
So Queen Beyonce Is Singing Live Today At The Super Bowl

I read that as "Destiny's Child is required to perform for this" and imagined Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams being released from some dark basement and escorted in shackles to be driven to the arena to rehearse.

Are people actually excited about a Destiny's Child reunion? It was always The Beyonce Band, with the focus being mostly on her. I don't see what the other two add in terms of excitement at this point, especially since their solo careers aren't exactly thriving. It's hardly like 3 major music forces coming together. It's just Beyonce and her backup.

All the single ladies!

So this is what passes for entertainment these days?

I hope they'll perform "No Whack-Whack"

r4 is so jaded. She's seen it all before! She must be supersophisticated and cool.

Is Beyonce a gay icon? Past Super Bowl performers, like Janet and Madonna, have shown their love for our community, but what about Mrs. Carter? I seem to recall her making an anti-gay remark after the Madonna-Britney-Xtina kiss.

“If anyone is brave and true to themselves, it’s my gay fans. The amount of confidence and fearlessness it takes to do what maybe is not what your parents expect you to do or what society may think is different – to be brave and be different and be to yourself – is just so beautiful. It’s the most beautiful thing you can be, and it’s what we all want to be at the end of the day. And not worrying about satisfying or becoming what other people think you’re supposed to be, that’s like the ultimate dream – to just be that brave.”

"When did you feel a real connection with your gay fans?"
I've always had a connection. Most of my audience is actually women and my gay fans, and I've seen a lot of the younger boys kind of grow up to my music. It's great when I'm able to do the meet and greets, because I'm able to really connect and have conversations. People look at some of the artists that I admire - like Diana Ross and Cher - and they identity that glamour with Sasha Fierce, and I've been really inspired by the language. I have my (gay) stylists and my makeup artist, and all of their stories and the slang words I always put it in my music. We inspire each other. Like I said, we're one."

I hope there's a wardrobe malfunction and Beyonce reveals that she has a third nipple on her booty. Cuz I'm ready for that jelly.

I hope Kelly and Michelle got a decent weave budget for tonigt. I can stand when Beyonce has the best weave and they are looking like they got their hair from Sally's.

Will Tina Knowles be designing Destiny's Child's outfits? Her creations were such a hot mess. House of Derriere, indeed.

You seem to make up bullshit.

Unlike Janet and Madonna, Beyonce actually has talent. She will knock this shit out of the park. She's one of the greatest performers of all time.

Performer she is. Nothing much else.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||02/03/2013|
Beyoncé is a great performer but none of her songs will last by the time she turns fifty.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||02/03/2013|
Her setlist should have been: 1. Countdown horns /Crazy in Love 2. Naughty Girl 3. Deja Vu/Green Light 4. Single Ladies 5. End of Time 6. Lose My Breath/Jumpin Jumpin/Bootylicious/Survivor 2 minutes for each song would add up to 12 minutes. Naughty Girl performed just like she did it on her Beyonce Experience tour would have been epic with the band breakdown. Her halftime show sucked. No clear theme and no epic entrance or exit. Just same old singing & stomping in a bathing suit. As a fan, I'm disappointed

I can only identify three of her songs and one of them is with Destiny's Child. Single Ladies and Crazy in Love being the two she has done solo. That is not saying much for some one like me who loves listening to the radio and discovering new music. I guess I change the channel when her stuff comes on. Her "music" is not original, innovative, entertaining or memorable. Her voice is unremarkable. She can't really dance and she doesn't play an instrument. I just don't get what the fuss is all about. I think the same of her husband and his so-called "talent".

But like I always say, "a good song will always trump a superior voice."
Beyonce wishes she had the catalogues of those two 'non-talents.'

For someone who was in college when destinys child came out, I have I problem thinking of at least a dozen DC/Beyonce songs. Not to mention her occasional acting gigs. For people gen y and under she is very much iconic. I just don't think people 0ver 40 really get it, and still sort of think of hip hop and r&b as niche musical genres , when for the last 15 years or so, they have been very much mainstream with the younger audience.

R24's set list would be great with Say My Name added...
And the show itself was literally too dark and black....we needed some color and glam...
