ABC's 20/20 Co-Anchor Chris Cuomo Moving To CNN
January 28th, 2013
The changes at CNN continue. Chris Cuomo, co-anchor of ABC News’ 20/20, is jumping over to CNN, TMZ was the first to report.
Cuomo will host a morning show, possibly alongside Erin Burnett, who anchors CNN’s 7 p.m. hour. TMZ notes that is “interesting, because we’re told Erin’s contract at CNN is to do a prime time show … so if execs move her to an earlier spot, they might have to do a little convincing.”
From 2006 to 2009, Cuomo was a news anchor for Good Morning America, before moving to 20/20.
Recently, Jake Tapper also made the move from ABC to CNN. With Jeff Zucker taking the reins at the network, there’s no shortage of changes and rumors.

Burnett and Cuomo....what bright lights. They'll definitely switch people over from Faux Friends and Free Willy's Republican show on MSMBC...not!Zucker is becoming like Ted McGinley, every thing he touches turns to tin.
Without that queen AC,CNN is a waste of time. As prissy and phony as he was,he's got more substance in his pinky than Jeff Zucker's entire extended families' bodies!
I can't wait and see what Zucker will supersize? One of those race in America specials? The Z List starring AC and Kathy Griffin? The mind absolutely boggles.

Piers Morgan is overshadowing Anderson Cooper these days, R1.
Piers Morgan is the biggest name on CNN right now, particularly since the gun control debate.

No! I lived for sitting back on Friday nights with a glass if wine in my hand and Chris on my TV!

R3 How mental was she?Do tell......
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/29/2013|
God, PLEASE let Zucker cancel those tiresome "BLACK IN AMERICA!", "HISPANIC IN AMERICA!" "LIVING AS A BLACK IN AMERICA!" "WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BLACK IN AMERICA!"
Seriously. They've gone rabid with this stuff, and it's so patronizing and even racist.
Zucker needs to do away with that sort of pand handling.

R2, Piers Morgan's surge in popularity will be very, very short lived.
People in every demographic generally hate that guy. He just has something about him which turns most Americans off. So while he may be getting some attention by preaching to the choir over gun control, he can only milk that cow so long.
Truth is, I don't think he's long for U.S. network television. Sadly for him, he's hugely unpopular in the U.K. as well; I'm sure he's terrified of going back though since he'll no doubt eventually be arrested.
Anderson Cooper has melted down into a silly embarrassment. They need to escort him off Columbus Circle, back to his fire house and let him go on and pursue his dreams of tacky reality TV stardom. At this point, I'm convinced his dream job would be helming some Entertainment Tonight sort of show. I think that would be perfect for him.

There's a smugness about his that's very off-putting, especially when coupled with a British accent. But as you say further down, the Brits don't like him either.

They are courting Keith Olbermann. Things are close. Nothing definite.

Handling a pand should be illegal. At least in public.

If Keith arrives, CNN will be in the ratings dumpster. They don't need this loser on their schedule.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||01/29/2013|
Seriously? Keith O? Hasn't he left a path of scorched earth wherever he has worked? I will believe it when I see it and still I won't believe it.

What happens to Cuomo's career if his brother becomes president?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||01/29/2013|
Just take it out already!!
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/29/2013|
You don't have to worry about Cuomo becoming President, R13.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/30/2013|
He's pretty, and I like to look at him. But I don't have cable or satellite, and refuse to ever pay for that, so I guess I won't see him much anymore.

I wonder what effect Chris Cuomo will have on CNN's female anchors?
Some of them have a history of falling for their married male colleagues.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||01/30/2013|
They should have Chris do the news shirtless. The man is a true hunk!
|by Anonymous||reply 18||01/30/2013|
R17 Please name some names...I can only think of Kate and John at CNN hooking up when he was married to Dana.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||01/30/2013|
Yum! Great move CNN! But put him on prime time so we poor working stiffs (pun intended) can enjoy his ridiculously hot body!
|by Anonymous||reply 20||01/30/2013|
That's what I was thinking of, R19. I was not aware we needed multiple examples. It was just meant as a joke (and maybe as a future possibility that could happen to Chris).

Keith Olbermann can't hold a job, who wants to hire him? He's ALWAYS trouble.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||01/30/2013|
I've seen Chris Cuomo in person many times. You'd never know that he has that body underneath his fancy suits.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||01/30/2013|
I want Chris Cuomo inside me. Very, very deeply. I want to suck the cream out of his cannoli. Slowly, sensually, and often.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/30/2013|
R6 I think you meant pandering.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/30/2013|
What are you saying, R25? That Chris is just average-looking in person?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/30/2013|
David Tyler Muir is taking over as 20/20 coanchor for Chris.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/30/2013|
Anderson shoulda grabbed Reeeeeg's job when he could.

So has John King's "other woman" been confirmed as Kate Bolduan?
According to Wikipedia: "She is married to Carlyle Group principal Michael David Gershenson, and both are based in Washington D.C. The couple are recent converts to the Jewish faith, having joined the Washington Hebrew Congregation sometime in November 2009."
Which is interesting, because John King converted to Judaism when he married Dana Bash.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/30/2013|
Damn! I picked the wrong brother!
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/30/2013|
Kate Bolduan is Jewish now? Do all CNN anchors have to convert?
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/30/2013|
He would be MINE if we ever came face to face.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||02/03/2013|
r32, that bitch ain't a chef. She's a cook, and a barely adequate one at that.
