Jeremy Renner Lists Art Deco Mansion for $24.95 Million
Actor Jeremy Renner is best-known for his action-packed roles in blockbusters such as “The Bourne Legacy” and “The Avengers,” but the two-time Oscar nominee also has a knack for real estate, having flipped several Los Angeles-area homes with his business partner over the years.
His latest project, a 10,000-square-foot Beverly Glen estate, is now on the market for $24.95 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.

There's something really gay about this. I mean that in a good way.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||01/19/2013|
He and his partner only paid $7 million for it in 2010? That's quite a flip.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||01/19/2013|
Wow, I had no idea he had or made that kind of money.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||01/19/2013|
It's listed at that amount so it will get press. It will sell for a lot less.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||01/19/2013|
A lot of actors buy mansions just to sell them with the added novelty of the previous owner being an actor or a celeb. Cher did this during her lean years.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||01/19/2013|
Curbed has photos of the stunning interior. This place is unbelievable.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||01/19/2013|
The kitchen, the home theater, master bedroom and master baths along with the patio are to die for.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||01/19/2013|
Yep, he's gay.
He won't get the $25mil but he'll probably make a nice chunk of change on $7mil, depending on what they put into it.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||01/19/2013|
How the heck can a B-rate actor like this afford a mansion that expensive?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||01/20/2013|
Compare this beautiful home with the loft Kelly Ripa is hoping to sell for the same price. I think it needs a touch of color. And I'm not crazy about the palm trees. Maybe some orchids in jewel tone pots here and there. Other than that, the place is stunning. He and his partner have great taste.

Heterosexual Jeremy Renner Enjoys Gay Lifestyle
|by Anonymous||reply 12||01/20/2013|
I'm also surprised that Renner has this kind of money. He's apparently worth A LOT more than I would have estimated.
And if he designed the interior, the queen has good taste.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||01/20/2013|
Unless R13 is Jeremy he's over-reaching. Bourne was regarded as a disaster and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters? Really? Was is directed by Uwe Bolle?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||01/20/2013|
When Renner was on Letterman last week, this house flipping business he does with his partner was nearly all they talked about.
Only about a minute talking about the Hansel & Gretel movie and there was no mention of him doing a 'Bryan Adams' and having some chick friend have his baby.
Also no mention of Thai trannies and barfights.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||01/24/2013|
[quote]It's not just the two guys doing it.
Boy, you said a mouthful, R17.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||01/24/2013|
I have connections to Jeremy. This is not his house. The article is a mistake. Yes, he flips houses with a partner but that guy flipped this house with another guy. Just a reminder to me that you can't believe everything you read.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||01/24/2013|
And by the way, The Bourne Legacy has grossed $276 million worldwide.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||01/24/2013|
To confirm what r20 said, Renner does say on the Letterman interview that the newly listed $25M property is one that his partner did.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||01/24/2013|
Miss Renner has quite the eye for interior decorating. She's a total hetero fuck machine, no doubt.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||01/24/2013|
I was hoping that segment had the intro with Renner walking up to Letterman. It would have been more confirmation that he's a micro-pocket gay. Dave's definitely 6'2".
|by Anonymous||reply 24||01/24/2013|
A smidge overdone for my tastes, but definitely nice work.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/24/2013|
What R10 said. She must have been sucking some powerful dick over the years to get a career that came from nowhere.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/24/2013|
Don't be sorry, R25. Who wants this squashed-body, angry, dishonest, personality-free creep to be gay?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/24/2013|
There is a piece in Variety on Kristopher Winters and this house. He says that predominantly, he is the interior designer and Renner is the buider. He says Renner's obsession is the flow of a property, so I guess that means function, form and proportion. It also puts the amazing decor and 'gay' styling well into Winters' area of responsibility.
It is interesting that Renner has said he isn't gay and we all know that his relationship with Winters is the biggest single piece of 'evidence' used against him, but he is not backing away from Winters. They talk about each in the press and they are still often seen together. This is a very strong partnership. Give Renner a couple of years to get over his action hero phase, he said he intends to retire at 45 and do only what he wants. If they don't come out as a couple at that point, then I will accept that he is straight and they have adopted each other as brothers. I'm beginning to really hope he is straight and they really are that close and loyal. If they are a couple then all the lying and plotting that must have taken place is far less appealing.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||04/13/2013|
Did Renner come from money? He came out of nowhere a few years ago but seems to have already been a wealthy man as a bit player.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||04/13/2013|
He stated on Letterman that he and his partner started years ago with a 500K house, and their ambition and pocketbooks have steadily increased over the years. He said that they are only interested in buildings of special architectural or historical importance. He clearly said that they did all the design, from the lighting to the fabrics. I got a stronge vibe that his partner may be trained in interior design.
The one strange part of the revelation(to me anyway) was he said that the two of them LIVE in sleeping bags in their project of the moment during the entire process. Even if they are partners in the sense of romance, wouldn't you think at this point they would hole up at the Chateau or similar??
For the record IMHO I did not get a ping. I am the pingingest bitch on the planet, so it's not as if I want him to be straight. Secondly, only an out gay or a man so confident in his sexuality would yammer on and on about his design partner with whom he bunks. Just sayin', if the man wants to keep his options open as to being cast in leading roles, and he is in fact closeted, he SURE didn't act like it.

What is with all of these second-rate actors with multi-million dollar properties? Jeremy Renner hasn't done shit to justify him having a $25M house.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||04/13/2013|
That is a beautiful fucking house
|by Anonymous||reply 33||04/13/2013|
That is some great real-estate porn.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||04/14/2013|
Think of how many Thai ladyboys he can buy with all that money!
|by Anonymous||reply 35||04/14/2013|
R30 He definately doesn't come from money, I know Joss Whedon described him as very working class in one of his interviews. I know he used his contract for SWAT to buy into his first property with Winters and up to that point I think he was living pretty much in poverty in some sort of actor's commune. None of the films between then and the Hurt Locker would have earned him large sums, but by the HL they were flipping multimillion dollar properties. I think they just kept selling and reinvesting, hence living in sleeping bags. I get the impression he has never lived alone in a property or had a home in the 'normal' sense.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||04/14/2013|
R31 - I agree with you that for someone in the closet he isn't hiding. In the promo interviews for the Unusuals, before he was well known, he was asked what was unusual about him. Amber Tamblyn came up with something pretty harmless, but it was Renner who said he had been a make-up artist which was very unusual for a straight guy. In fact he has brought that up over and over again, like he is proud of it or thinks it is funny.Plus when he talks about the house flipping he always mentions his partner and he doesn't have to. Then there is the oscar thing. As a good friend would Collin Farrell have teased everyone like that if Renner was in the closet? That is the sort of behaviour you get from confident hetrosexual men and happily out men, not men in the closet.

[R37] Zactly! In Hollywood most leading actors would have to be water boarded just to SAY the word "partner" lest the viewing public infer it meant a romantic involvement. He must have said it 4 times on Letterman. So, I'm thinking--gay OR straight, Renner is a pretty well adjusted guy.
He is fine with who he is and that is refreshing.
The only verifiable gossip I've heard is the mess in Thailand in a Ladyboy bar. I'm thinking that maybe his partner who is his bestie(the design guy) may BE gay, and shock! JR may be comfortable enough to join him in a night out while they were in Bangkok on a fabric/furnishings buying trip. Perhaps one of the T boys wouldn't take no for an answer, and WHOOPS, a tussle ensued. I have had many male friends who were secure enough to join their gay friends in a night on the town on their turf. No biggie.
And not you [R37], but anyone else please do not flame me as a fangurl who wants JR to be straight. That is so not my agenda.

My sense is that he is gay and he is sort of dancing this sad dance around that fact. The Letterman interview was one of those typical preinterview interviews. Dave not doing a great job of protecting the agreed upon "let's not go there" subject of his partner by using the term buddy several times. It had such a false ring to it. I love Letterman's wicked and oh so typical dig by asking if his buddy was Clooney. Face it, Renner can't come out and have the film career he has worked so hard to achive and he made the mistake early on of not fabricating a good cover or back story.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||04/14/2013|
Um, his gorgeous supermodel girlfriend just bore him a son.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||04/14/2013|
[R39] We must have been watching different interviews, I didn't see it that way one bit.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||04/14/2013|
Letterman was definately having a bit of a dig, but was it at Renner or the rumour mill? Anyway that is irrelevant, they clearly agreed on the topic and Renner never flinched from using the word partner.
Gorgeous supermodel? More like knocked up party girl. How is that whole thing anything but an embarrassing mistake? He has top representation, loads of friends who have been in the spotlight for ages to advise him, plenty of money to find the right surrogate and plenty of time to plan it. Are we really saying this is the best they could come up with?

R32 has chosen not to read the thread and has no idea what's going on except that he's outraged.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||04/14/2013|
And they called him Immanuel, R40, which means "God with us." And he has come to save the world from his sins.
