Word processing on an iPad

Up until now I've used my iPad for entertainment purposes only. My laptop crashed and I'm going to be using my iPad2 as my main computer for awhile. What is the go to word processing app everyone uses. Also, is there a good keyboard you could recommend?

Get the Logitech keyboard. Amazing at Costco for 79.99

Isn't an iPad just an over sized cell phone? I don't get the point.

I have to use an iPad at some client locations and they drive me batty! Maybe I'm too old for all this change. The iPad is too sensitive. I prefer the rigidity of a laptop.

Pages.

I've been using the APple keyboard that came with my new iMac with my iPad as well.

Microsoft Word is better than pages

Quick Office Hd is great pages sucks especially if someone with MS word needs to open the file.

Pages is OK. I hate the organizational system, though. There are a few free word processing programs on the app store that you might download and see if you like.

As for a keyboard -- I just take the wireless Apple keyboard that came with my desktop and throw it in with the iPad when I'm on the road. Works fine over Bluetooth.

Microsoft Word peaked with version 5.1 in 1991.

It's been a sloppy, bloated, downhill slide ever since.
