Brian DePalma to direct Al Pacino Paterno film

Awesomeness!

by Anonymousreply 1801/17/2013

Kudos to Pacino. He takes on the most unlikable of characters.

To many people, r1, Paterno is not unlikeable.

Personally, I hope Paterno is shoveling shit in hell. But it will be interesting where the sympathy lies in this film.

by Anonymousreply 201/16/2013

Hopefully he'll get slashed to death with a straight razor.

by Anonymousreply 301/16/2013

Split screens and shower scenes!

by Anonymousreply 401/16/2013

And I can play the Lady Paterno in my long awaited Screen Comeback!!!

by Anonymousreply 501/16/2013

Brian DePalma's last film was "The Black Dahlia" several years ago, and while I think it was better than its critical reputation, he will need to make sure the scripting goes a lot better than it did on that one.

by Anonymousreply 601/16/2013

Sandusky asks Paterno to "say hello to his little friend"

by Anonymousreply 701/16/2013

R6, he made "Redacted" a year after "Dahlia" (Perhaps it never played in your area.)

by Anonymousreply 801/16/2013

DePalma has since made Passion, which is based on a French film. It comes out early next year or so.

by Anonymousreply 901/16/2013

I like De Palma and the story of the Black Dahlia is fascinating but that movie was a mess and a boring mess at that.

by Anonymousreply 1001/16/2013

Will Michelle Pfeiffer be playing Sue?

by Anonymousreply 1101/16/2013

Plug it up! Plug it up! Plug it up!

by Anonymousreply 1201/16/2013

De Palma can't do drama. Everything in his films are OTT nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 1301/16/2013

r13 have you seen Casualties of War?

If anything, De Palma has trouble with comedy.

by Anonymousreply 1401/17/2013

Any casting sugestions?

Come on, this is DL!

by Anonymousreply 1501/17/2013

I'm sure that DePalma will make room for several soft core lesbian love scenes.

by Anonymousreply 1601/17/2013

Maybe he can give a part to his nephew again

by Anonymousreply 1701/17/2013

"I'm sure that DePalma will make room for several soft core lesbian love scenes."

Exactly how would he make that happen in this movie? Maybe he can invent a subplot about Sue Paterno and Dottie Sandusky having a secret love affair
