Tickemaster screws up: Obama inaugural tickets sold a day early

[quote]About 2 million people gathered in Washington on Tuesday 20 January 2009 to see Obama sworn in as the 44th president of the United States. Given the historic nature of that occasion, a drop in numbers is anticipated for the president's re-inauguration on 21 January: Reuters reported that city officials are anticipating 800,000 attendees.

[bold]Question:[/bold] It says they're expecting lower turn out, but they're also saying the event sold out early with plenty of pissed off people unable to get tickets? How does that figure?

Does this simply mean they limiting the number of people this go around?

Forget all of that. They charge you to print tickets now. That used to be the "free" option to get them in the mail. Now it's $5 if you don't print them.
