Who is your favorite Ann(e), and why?

By request. See poll.

by OPreply 4103/24/2014

Raggedy Ann. Because she doesn't kiss and tell.

by OPreply 101/05/2013

Please turn in your gay cards now! I should have been on the list.

by OPreply 201/05/2013

Um, Anne Rice has a gay son, Christopher.

by OPreply 301/05/2013

Thanks, OP-by-proxy!!

You're not the OP, though. I know you know that.

In any case, my favorite Ann(e) is Ann Dowd, for she is totally stealing Anne Hathaway's thunder this awards' season!

Thanks, Ann Dowd, for giving us a great performance in 'Compliance', and sucking the oxygen from Princess Anne's ill-advised campaign !!

by OPreply 401/05/2013

All of you were just having such a nice conversation about me and I'm not on the list!

by OPreply 501/05/2013

Mme Romney would not consort with those who are on the list anyway.

by OPreply 601/05/2013

I'm sorry, Ann Wilson.

You were on my mind, but I had to omit you, to make room for Queen Ann Romney. In a year from now she'll be totally forgotten, while you'll still be a legend of rock.

Take comfort in that thought.

by OPreply 801/05/2013

Anne of Green Gables is my favorite.

by OPreply 901/05/2013

Oh, and please don't pay attention to r7 who is an usurper.

He never had the idea to these threads, never posted about them first, never advocated them, and hence he has no right to call himself OP.

by OPreply 1001/05/2013

I still don't know who "Shitty Little Anne" is.

by OPreply 1101/05/2013

Sally Bowles

by OPreply 1201/05/2013

Where's Ann Dowd? The requester of this thread specifically requested that and wrote, "word the poll exactly like that."

by OPreply 1301/05/2013

Princess Anne. After her mother Queen Elizabeth dies, she will truly be The Last Victorian. No one else in the family does the frosty, unsmiling, rigid, Germanic thing in the Queen Elizabeth model as well as Anne does. She's like a throwback to an ancient time, a living fossil. She's fascinating.

by OPreply 1401/05/2013

Agreed, R14. She is quite serious about her position which is very refreshing these days.

by OPreply 1501/05/2013

Shitty Little Ann explained.

by OPreply 1601/05/2013

Ann Sheridan.

by OPreply 1701/05/2013

Ann-Margret

by OPreply 1801/05/2013

Anne Uumellmahaye

by OPreply 1901/05/2013

Ann Derson Cooper.

by OPreply 2001/05/2013

The 1987 Oscar best supporting actress category had three great Ann(e)s: Anne Archer, Anne Ramsey and Ann Sothern.

by OPreply 2101/05/2013

Hold me David

You DL queens are slipping

by OPreply 2201/05/2013

I'm SCARED!

by OPreply 2301/05/2013

I know you wussie boys don't like me, but my book should me memorized. Mem-o-rized!

by OPreply 2401/05/2013

Hathaway just to piss off the tiresome troll.

by OPreply 2501/05/2013

Marks ann Spencer

by OPreply 2601/05/2013

Evil Ann Coulter of course. Why? Because she loves teh gays and she makes everyone here flip out & have breakdowns. I find that hilarious.

by OPreply 2701/05/2013

Anne Murray

by OPreply 2801/05/2013

Little Annie Fanny

by OPreply 2901/05/2013

There already was a thread on this just two weeks back.

by OPreply 3001/05/2013

ANNE BANCROFT. Good grief, Shitty Little Ann made the poll and the divine Mrs. Robinson didn't?!

by OPreply 3101/05/2013

You're right, r13. As I said, the "OP" of this thread is an usurper. He substituted Ann Dowd with Anne Meara... he had no right to do that.

I specifically placed Ann Dowd right after Anne Hathaway, because Dowd is collecting all the awards that AH had pencilled in for herself.

Instead we get boring Anne Meara, mother of Ben Stiller. Fun! NOT.

I also agree with r14. Princess Anne almost made the list, for the reasons cited by you.

r31: Anne Bancroft is legendary, but not as topical as Anns Curry/Romney/Dowd, and therefore she had to take a backseat. Sorry.

by OPreply 3201/06/2013

[quote] the "OP" of this thread is an usurper

Oh, God. It's fighting with ITSELF.

by OPreply 3301/06/2013

Oh. I thought Shitty Little Anne WAS Ann Romney.

by OPreply 3401/06/2013

Annie Wilkes!

by OPreply 3501/06/2013

Well, Anne Boleyn is the clear winner! Who would have thought?

Anne of Green Gables and Shitty Little Ann are the runner-ups. And could there be two more disparate Annes? I think not.

In any case, Ann Dowd should have been third, for stealing Anne Hathaway's thunder.

Please pretend that she was in the poll, and came in third.

Thank you.

by OPreply 3601/06/2013

I supposed the following statements lost their thunder today:

"In any case, my favorite Ann(e) is Ann Dowd, for she is totally stealing Anne Hathaway's thunder this awards' season!

Thanks, Ann Dowd, for giving us a great performance in 'Compliance', and sucking the oxygen from Princess Anne's ill-advised campaign !!"

No one sang the role like McCardle.

by OPreply 3801/10/2013

Anne L. Ingus

by OPreply 3901/10/2013

Ann B Davis

by OPreply 4001/10/2013

Ann Sothern, why?

Lucie Arnaz said:

"There are only two people I know who could stand up to my mother successfully. Vivan Vance and Ann Sothern."
