He's such an unoriginal moron. How do we get this dull bozo off the air?
|by Twentysomething||reply 38||11/15/2013|
When you kick him off the air, make sure he lands directly on my bed. His hairy fratboy hole is begging to attention. He's so friggin handsome.
|by Twentysomething||reply 1||01/01/2013|
r1 is obviously very old and completely blind.
|by Twentysomething||reply 2||01/01/2013|
I think looking at his dad's career, our best bet on getting rid of this dull bozo will be to have him smother in John McCain's ass.
|by Twentysomething||reply 3||01/01/2013|
He is young but I've watched him and I think he's better informed then anyone on FOX. I like his show.
|by Twentysomething||reply 4||01/01/2013|
His reporting through this fiscal cliff crisis has been excellent.
|by Twentysomething||reply 5||01/01/2013|
If you don't like him, don't watch him. Problem solved.
|by Twentysomething||reply 6||01/01/2013|
He shows up on nearly every MSNBC show, R6, so easier said that done.
Russert is vile, and easily the most useless personality on that network. He has the most smug grin on his face whenever he appears, and yet the others treat him as if he's sharing the wisdom of Odin. (Notice, though, how Rachel Maddow can barely hide her contempt.) He's just a snot-nosed kid whose insights could just as easily be gleaned from either common sense or a high school government textbook.
|by Twentysomething||reply 7||01/01/2013|
Regarding Luke Russert, it's called nepotism. Deep entrenched nepotism. Daddy Tim Russert died too young and has been canonized as a saint. Tim Russert's sainthood is even more entrenched because David Gregory has never fully taken off as Tim Russert's replacement.
So, son Luke benefits and gets a job for which there are so many more qualified journalists who have more experience. Luke is, so to speak, 'to the manor born' due to daddy.
It's not that Luke isn't doing a good job now, but he's been on the NBC payroll as Washington correspondent for nearly three years since he was 24--a chance hardly anyone gets at the national level at that age except for Jenna Bush. I rest my case.
|by Twentysomething||reply 8||01/01/2013|
He got the job right after Tim dropped dead, almost like he was waiting for it.
Besides being dull and unqualified, he's a pudgy, hairless girly boy-man.
|by Twentysomething||reply 9||01/01/2013|
Given the brain power on MSNBC, I think ol Luke is over qualified.
|by Twentysomething||reply 10||01/01/2013|
C'mon, he's very good looking. No he doesn't look resemble a porn star, but he is real-world very good looking. Love the chest hair peeking out over his shirt. He's probably got a ton of chicks chasing after him, and not because he is a famous broadcast journalist.
|by Twentysomething||reply 11||01/01/2013|
You can tell he was loved by the studio where his father worked. I'll never forget when he was presented with the chair his late father sat in during all those years hosting Face the Nation.
|by Twentysomething||reply 12||01/01/2013|
Yeah, Rhodes scholar Rachel Maddow is retarded, R6/R10. So are Ivy League graduates Chris Hayes, and Alex Wagner, as well as former Princeton professor Melissa Harris-Perry.
Stop trolling, dear.
|by Twentysomething||reply 13||01/01/2013|
Hate him and all the kiss ass fawning he gets on MSNBC.
|by Twentysomething||reply 14||01/01/2013|
I knew him at St. Albans, he was a year older. He was a nice guy. I understand why shade gets thrown his way, but people like to project a bunch of stuff that isn't true on kids of privilege. It can be a burden and a curse.
|by Twentysomething||reply 15||01/01/2013|
He's the worst thing on MSNBC/NBC. Frankly, NBC should be embarrassed, trotting this intern out as some sort of Capital Hill sage. I have nothing but the greatest respect for Richard Lui, but this evening he fawned over Luke as though he were John Chancellor. Russert Junior is about as informed as a goldfish. Sad really.
And no, he doesn't have porn star looks. He doesn't have looks at all. He's a pudgy squirrel. That's all. Rocky Russert.
|by Twentysomething||reply 16||01/01/2013|
if he's good looking in the real world than I'm living in an alternate world.
|by Twentysomething||reply 17||01/01/2013|
R11. Luke Russert is not good looking. He's barely average looking. But he's not ugly.
R14. Agree. The other MSNBC anchors and hosts unnecessarily go overboard kissing Luke's ass especially Alex Wagner, who I really like except when she starts rimming Luke. And Alex makes such a big goddamn deal about Luke wearing boat shoes. By the way, Luke looks like a douchebag wearing boat shoes with a suit. Get a fucking clue and put on a pair of dress shoes, you moron Russert.
|by Twentysomething||reply 18||01/01/2013|
R16, I'm sure there are a few (not tons) of chicks chasing him -- precisely because he's on TV.
|by Twentysomething||reply 19||01/01/2013|
"I'll never forget when he was presented with the chair his late father sat in during all those years hosting Face the Nation."
|by Twentysomething||reply 20||01/01/2013|
I've said this before, but there is no way in hell a 23 year-old would have been put on air at a network, now matter how talented. And especially someone as fat and homely as Russert. Pure nepotism. Most 23 year-olds who are even lucky enough to get a network news job are the assistant producer's assistant's assistant.
And I've also noticed that Rachel Maddow can barely hide her contempt for him, which I love and is totally understandable. Maddow is a tough cookie who made it on zero connections, but with talent and ability and she also faced a lot of prejudice as a butch lesbian. People who make it on talent and ability tend to be totally unimpressed with nepotistic hires and see right through them as the spoiled brats they are.
|by Twentysomething||reply 21||01/01/2013|
Toure kisses up to him too.
|by Twentysomething||reply 22||01/01/2013|
R6/R10 must be Luke's mother.
|by Twentysomething||reply 23||01/01/2013|
He's a condescending, entitled shit. You'd think he'd attempt to exhibit a bit of humility considering how he got his job.
|by Twentysomething||reply 24||01/01/2013|
I like his mother, Maureen Orth.
|by Twentysomething||reply 25||01/01/2013|
Maureen Orth is a CUNT.
|by Twentysomething||reply 26||01/01/2013|
Maureen gets points for having to sleep with that fat cow Russert.
|by Twentysomething||reply 27||01/01/2013|
[quote]Maureen Orth is a CUNT.
I read the book she wrote on Andrew Cunanan and the Versace murder -- and I don't take offense at a lot of things that others find homophobic (many for good reason), but that was one homophobic book. She's got a clear problem with gays, particularly for someone who's a major Vanity Fair contributor.
Clearly she takes no gay counsel when it comes to costume jewelry.
|by Twentysomething||reply 28||01/01/2013|
He seems capable of doing his job but it does seem like shocking nepotism to throw this kid to the head of the class just because of who his father was.
|by Twentysomething||reply 29||01/01/2013|
I saw Dylan Ratigan rip Luke a new rectal vault, to the point where Luke looked as if he were going to cry. [Perhaps this is a better reason for Dylan's departure than the one he gave.] Another REAL journalist who cuts Luke no slack is Martin Bashir. I'm weary from seeing the likes of Chuck Todd and Luke Russert dismissing accomplished journalists and politicians. I'd say arrogance will do them in, but apparently it's arrogance that cable news enjoys, and brings us the likes of Luke, Chuck, Erin Burnett, Wolf Blitzer and Chris Matthews.
|by Twentysomething||reply 30||01/17/2013|
I hate Chuck Todd even more. Luke just looks like he will not age well. Like his Dad. Boat shoes with a suit? So DC prep school assholism. I have heard he is a nice guy, and must feel a little strange about his place at MSNBC, I would.
|by Twentysomething||reply 31||01/17/2013|
r7 I think he's only been on Rachel's show one time -- it was a breaking news story that Boehner had sent everyone home without a deal. It was near the holidays and I guess Russert was the only one available.
That was the first time I ever saw Luke Russert "reporting." Heard a lot of negatives about him. When he appeared on Rachel's show, many of her viewers took it to twitter to mock him.
I was not impressed Russert. He's the Congressional reporter for NBC and he was out of his depth. NBC is grooming him and they are very protective of him.
|by Twentysomething||reply 32||01/17/2013|
Just to add, on the night that he appeared on Rachel's show, Russert said something like "what a story. I've never seen something like this in my 3.5 years on Capitol Hill (the House adjourning before the deal)." Yes. Gridlock in Washington is sooo rare. In all his long 3 and half years he's never seen anything like this.
|by Twentysomething||reply 33||01/17/2013|
Boring Dylan Radigan was fired of MSNBC a long time ago...
|by Twentysomething||reply 34||01/17/2013|
He's a misigonist too.
|by Twentysomething||reply 35||01/17/2013|
Dylan Radigan wasn't fired. He quit. He said he could make a bigger impact outside of having his own show. His show was on in the afternoon so I never saw it. From the clips that HuffPost features now and again, he seems like pretty moderate.
|by Twentysomething||reply 36||01/17/2013|
Ratigan became quite agitated when it came to the Too Big to Fail crime syndicate, and frequently stated that the only diff between Dems and 'pubs was a matter of style.
Although he could become rather tiring (boring?) through his badgering the same people and subjects, his ability to call out all things stupid and all things criminal, his presence on MSNBC is sorely missed.
Which brings another point: Why does Tweetybird Matthews need TWO shows???
|by Twentysomething||reply 37||03/07/2013|
I'm watching him on the Katie show and this is the first time I've seen him in about 5 years. Wow, he looks like a different person. Not in a good way, just different.
