He was the most gorgeous specimen of manhood to ever appear on TV. Even hotter than Robert Urich. Fact.
Dearest gaylings...Kent McCord would wipe the floor with your prescious Lautners, Lutzes, Bomers, ect.

R3 Yes, it was him. Yum, Yum!
|by Anonymous||reply 4||12/30/2012|
Kent McCord was good looking, but Urich was MUCH sexier.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||12/30/2012|
He was good-looking but reminded me of a blank slate. No charisma or personality. I preferred the other guy on Adam-12.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||12/30/2012|
He looks like a homeless mental patient in that photo, OP. Might there be a better shot of this man elsewhere?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||12/30/2012|
He aged pretty well.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||12/30/2012|
R2 made me laugh. I love stories like that.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||12/30/2012|
Those eyes look psychotic. He is destined for prison.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||12/30/2012|
Totally agree, OP. Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.
You can catch him on old "Ozzie and Harriet" shows where he was still being billed under his real name: Kent McWhirter.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||12/31/2012|
Kent was very good friends with Ricky Nelson. I believe that's how he got the part on OZZIE AND HARRIET.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||12/31/2012|
I thought we agreed that "Gaylings" sounded retardred. At least most of us agree on that. Knock it off webmaster we all know it's you.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||12/31/2012|
His recent pics look good for a 70 year old guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||12/31/2012|
yummy hairy hole
|by Anonymous||reply 17||12/31/2012|
You think that guy is better looking than Boner?
YOU MUST BE BLIND!
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/31/2012|
Bomer, not Boner, lol
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/31/2012|
Yes, OP. Kent was a handsome slab of man.
But would he have had the intestinal fortitude to bear the silence and stinging looks that R2 endured?
Love you R2. My guilt and shame seemed to arrive hand in hand with the funny feelings I got when looking at muscular men. So I never would have been able to voice such a question.
If I had I'm pretty sure it would have been answered with the pounding of a closed fist on top of my head.
God bless my fellow sissies that let it all out.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/31/2012|
WTF is that thing under his mouth? I thought he was hot in Adam-12, but that photo makes him look like an Appalachian zither.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||12/31/2012|
kent on the left

|by Anonymous||reply 24||12/31/2012|
R24, taking a moment out from doing nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||12/31/2012|
Here's an especially good screen capture of McCord when he made an appearance on Dragnet.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/25/2013|
Kent McCord and Martin Milner were both hotter than hell. Adam-12 was a ritual when I was a kid. It started in 1968, when I was began sixth grade and ended the year I graduated from high school, 1975. I had a huge crush on both of them from the first episode. Both actors are extremely heterosexual, but it was still a nice fantasy in my formative years. I recently bought a couple of seasons of Adam-12 on DVD. Surprisingly, the episodes held up pretty well. It brought back memories of my brother (a year older) and my two sisters (two and three years younger)sitting in front of the TV, riveted for that 30 minutes. My brother always had a crush on Barbara Eden (Jeannie), but my crushes were Reed and Malloy. We still joke about that.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||01/25/2013|
I'm not quite the eldergay that the OP is but Michael Ontkean from "The Rookies" and "Twin Peaks" is way hotter.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||01/25/2013|
Ironically, this is one lucky moose!
|by Anonymous||reply 30||01/26/2013|
[quote]your prescious Lautners,
|by Anonymous||reply 31||01/26/2013|
McCord, now 70, regularly played a judge in the CBS television military courtroom drama JAG throughout most of its run.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||01/26/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/26/2013|
Didn't he get into it with Shitbra Gilbert when they both served on the Screen Actor's Guild?
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/26/2013|
Here's a photo montage of Kent McCord, including hot shots of him with Mickey Dolenz, Ricky Nelson, and McCord's dad (both shirtless).
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/26/2013|
Was he gay, he looks gay, especially in that new photo of the old guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||01/26/2013|
Well during Adam 12 he was married and had children. One of his daughters had a bit part in an episode from the last season in which Malloy is kidnapped and Reed must track them down. Those are some of my favorite Adam 12 episodes when one of them would get hurt or captured and the other would risk everything to rescue his partner. They may never have said it or ever hit the sheets, but those two loved each other!
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/26/2013|
When did he divorce?
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/26/2013|
He was as hot as a Ken doll, and had the same personality.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||01/26/2013|
I recently caught an Adam-12 rerun showing Milner in street clothes - skintight brown denim bell-bottoms - looking surprisingly hot.
McCord was such a sensitive, naive fellow on the show. Milner had a sexy, tough attitude.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||01/26/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/26/2013|
That guy is supposedly better looking than Bomer? Please.
But I do agree that he looks much better than Lutz and Lautner. Especially Lautner, who is average looking at best.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/26/2013|
Here's a link to Kent's imdb bio. He's been married to the same woman for 50 years now. They had 3 children. And he very active in Screen actors Guild. He was a favorite of Jack Webb, though they disagred on politics as McCord was against the Vietnam War while Webb favored it, but that didn't stop Webb hiring him for walk ons on Dragnet before giving him the role of Officer Reed on Adam 12. In the late 70s, Webb was thinking of reviving Dragnet again and he hired McCord to play his partner, but the reboot didn't get picked up.

r25, r24 actually has Cheetos digits and it appears to be a basement...
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/26/2013|
He has schizophrenia eyes.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||01/26/2013|
OP clearly had a crush on Robbie Douglas (Don Grady) which has been transferred to Kent McCord.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||01/26/2013|
Kent McCord is far better-looking than Don Grady.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||01/26/2013|
Here's Kent in the tug of war contest in the 1980 Battle of the Network stars. He's rather curt when Joyce DeWitt interviews him before it starts.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||01/26/2013|
I even suffered through about 6 episodes of the sickeningly awful "Galactica 1980" just to see Kent. That's dedication to my man. LOL.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||01/26/2013|
oooh. bad opening pic OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||01/26/2013|
Here's a plum for my fellow "elders" to slurp on. Read into it what you wish (spoilers ahead):
After 20 years of friendship, so devoted to Martin Milner was Kent McCord that he wrote and produced a pilot movie script for TNN called "Nashville Beat" in which he and Milner would star. Filmed on location, the plot involves McCord's newly-widowed character relocating to Nashville to team up with his former LAPD partner (Milner) in an attempt to rid the city of gang violence. Most of the action is forgettable, though it is charming to see Milner and McCord hook up as if they never left off fighting crime. In the finale, the two of them get up on stage to serenade each other with the Beatles' song "Do You Want To Know A Secret?" in front of a roomful of people. The film fades out after they reach the line, "I'm in love with you...oooooh...."
(Lest you forget, the author of this scene is Kent McCord.)
For reasons that were never made clear, TNN didn't pick up the pilot, and the movie has become impossible to find--unless you know where to look (Sell.com).

Bumping this up to let everyone know Adam 12 reruns are starting Monday May 6 on MeTV at 4:30 edt.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||05/05/2013|
It's there, r52.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||05/05/2013|
I still remember a blackout sketch on Laugh-In that featured Milner and McCord in their squad car. They're driving along and say:
McCord: So how long have we been working together?
Milner: Six years.
McCord: So do you think it's about time we did it?
Milner: Do you really want to?
McCord: I have since the beginning.
Milner: Okay, let's do it.
Milner: Sure. Let's do it. You can drive the car.
And they laugh and change places....LOL
|by Anonymous||reply 55||05/05/2013|
I always enjoy any scene where McCord's character is talking about his wife and then they cut to a reaction shot of Milner looking ticked off. I like to pretend that Malloy was jealous and wanted Reed for himself and who can blame him?
|by Anonymous||reply 56||05/05/2013|
He looks like Taylor Lautner.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||05/06/2013|
r48, Kent was in rather dry good humour with the roving Ms DeWitt. It was Robert Hayes who was fucking rude.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||05/06/2013|
R37, I loved those shows, too.
Starsky and Hutch were able to be more emotional about it.
I loved a lot of 70s and 80s cops -- Willie on The Rookies; Robert Urich on S.W.A.T. and Spenser for Hire.
Always wanted to witness some big crime and have to go live with them for protection.
or just go live with them.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||05/06/2013|
His name was Don Galloway. He died in 2009.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||05/06/2013|
Wasn't there an infamous nude?
|by Anonymous||reply 62||05/06/2013|
I had a friend who worked at SAG and knew Kent well. He said he's a hard-core liberal, extremely handsome and personable, and hung huge. (Mr friend stood next to him at a urinal once - this was back before "hiding urinals"). He said Kent was much better looking in his late30s-40s than he had been in his 20s.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||05/06/2013|
I grew up watching Adam 12. Heck at 13 I had a crush on Reed and Malloy but preferred Reed. The first year the story lines were korny but each season the writing improved and so did the story lines. I hear he had a run in with Melissa Gilbert. He wasn't too happy with her "moderate reign" when she was President of SAG.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||08/27/2014|
Saw him just a few months ago at the Chiller Show in New Jersey. Full head of silver hair, a good looking grandfather.
And no this isn't me, I just googled and found it.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||08/27/2014|
In 1996 he looked great in this interview he and Martin Milner did at an autograph show.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||08/30/2014|
My god, I am in the midst of a Kent McCord triple feature on COZI-TV: one episode of Dragnet (looking incredibly hot!) and 2 episodes of Adam 12!
|by Anonymous||reply 67||03/16/2015|
That Dragnet guest spot is where producer Jack Webb remembered McCord for his next project Adam-12.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||03/16/2015|
I can see why, he is hard to forget!
|by Anonymous||reply 69||03/16/2015|
I love how two of Hollywood's most liberal had/have long marriages: James Garner and Kent McCord. Take that "Family Values" Republicans...like Mark Sanford
|by Anonymous||reply 70||03/18/2015|
Are there even Lautner fans here?
Boy looks like a llama
|by Anonymous||reply 71||03/18/2015|
Great little window at the zoo R71. I wonder what's next for Taylor, bland attractive cop in ABC fall lineup?
|by Anonymous||reply 72||03/18/2015|
I can't believe they tried to turn that twink into an action star.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||03/18/2015|
I think alpaca face is hot and Kent McCord was plenty cute but my favorite as a little gayling was Robbie Douglas.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||03/18/2015|
|by Anonymous||reply 75||03/18/2015|
Kent was a handsome man, but still not as handsome as Ricky Nelson. I met Ricky in 1963 when I was just 11-years-old and to this day he remains the handsomest man I've ever seen.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||03/18/2015|
Ooh, Ricky Nelson is a good one. My mom would quit washing dishes to watch him when he performed his singing segment on "Ozzie and Harriet."
|by Anonymous||reply 77||03/18/2015|
Milner kind of chunked up on Adam 12 compared to his Route 66 days.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||03/18/2015|
My pre-pubescent favorites were Tommy Kirk, Ricky Nelson, and Tim Considine.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||03/18/2015|
He looks special, like he licked the windows of the short bus a lot as a kid.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||03/18/2015|
Has Martin Milner ever been interviewed regarding "Valley of the Dolls"? He must have some behind the scenes stories on the filming.
