The 12-12 Concert for Sandy live on AMC.

Because no one has started a thread.

Bon Jovi almost ruins Born to Run.

by Anonymousreply 5512/14/2012

The only reason JBJ DIDN'T ruin it is because Bruce was there to keep him from careening the car into the ditch. Christ. JBJ is far more hammy and pathetic than even I remember.

by Anonymousreply 112/12/2012

Roger Waters is 69. He looks pretty good.

by Anonymousreply 212/12/2012

Those kids were fucking boring.

by Anonymousreply 312/12/2012

Why is it the same aging white men in every concert?

by Anonymousreply 412/12/2012

Roger Waters was fanatastic. I liked the kids. Of course, Adam Sandler is bringing everything to a shreiking halt. Time to hit the mute button. Bruce really brought it. He sounded better than he has in years. This really is the shit.

by Anonymousreply 512/12/2012

Ugh. Adam Sandler.

by Anonymousreply 612/12/2012

Bon Jovi is on. Time to order take-out.

by Anonymousreply 712/12/2012

Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora -- the botox twins.

by Anonymousreply 812/12/2012

Jon looks great. Kristen Stewart looks 45 years old in high definition.

by Anonymousreply 912/12/2012

Kristen Stewart always looks dirty and like she just rolled out of bed. Smug and socially awkward at the same time. What an unattractive combination.

by Anonymousreply 1012/12/2012

Sorry, bitches, Sandler was hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 1112/12/2012

Is this streaming online anywhere?

by Anonymousreply 1212/12/2012

It's probably on a radio station in your city.

by Anonymousreply 1312/12/2012

Why did they let Adam Sandler drop his pants and take a big, smelly shit on stage??

by Anonymousreply 1412/12/2012

For R12

by Anonymousreply 1512/12/2012

[quote]Kristen Stewart always looks dirty and like she just rolled out of bed. Smug and socially awkward at the same time. What an unattractive combination.

Ew. Why was she even invited?

by Anonymousreply 1612/12/2012

What was that whole Keith Moon thing? He's been dead for 35 years.

by Anonymousreply 1712/12/2012

How come The Kinks never pay these benefits? Or Crosby, Stills, Nash? The Police? Led Zep (what's left of them)? Paul Simon? Carly Simon? James Taylor?

by Anonymousreply 1912/12/2012

Someone needs to tell Brian Williams that he isn't on NBC. What a fucking hall monitor. Roger Daltry said fuck and opened his shirt. So what. His daughter is on a show that has more nudity and just plain gross scenarios than True Blood.

by Anonymousreply 2012/12/2012

Woah! That's hideous.

by Anonymousreply 2112/12/2012

It does seem rather odd how many of the acts tonight are from Britain.

by Anonymousreply 2212/12/2012

Thank YOU, R15!!

by Anonymousreply 2412/12/2012

Kristen Stewart looks AWFUL!!! And I'm not a fan, nor hater.. Trash! Dont care about her unless she comes out of the closet some day. Even that's pushing it.

by Anonymousreply 2512/12/2012

I love how when during a fundraiser somebody sings about how much money they have.

by Anonymousreply 2612/12/2012

Kanye is horrible when will this end.

by Anonymousreply 2712/12/2012

Why is Kanye wearing a leather skirt?

He looks like a buffoon in the leather skirt.

by Anonymousreply 2812/12/2012

Everyone at my house cleared the room when Kanye came out.

by Anonymousreply 2912/12/2012

Jake looks HOT with the beard. The hairy, on the face kind of beard.

by Anonymousreply 3012/12/2012

[quote]Someone needs to tell Brian Williams that he isn't on NBC. What a fucking hall monitor. Roger Daltry said fuck and opened his shirt. ...

Did Brian open his shirt as well?

by Anonymousreply 3212/12/2012

This is the first time I have ever heard Kanye west. He sucks. He's talking (not singing) about douchebags. And he's wearing a skirt

by Anonymousreply 3412/12/2012

So a leather skirt and leggings are gangsta now?

by Anonymousreply 3512/12/2012

I'm sure Kanye enlightened all the geezers watching ancient British rockers about the qualities of hip hop.

by Anonymousreply 3712/12/2012

Billy Joel opened with the same song he did at the OTHER hurricane benefit.

by Anonymousreply 3812/12/2012

Paul McCartney is hard rocking it. I'm glad he isn't doing those sappy love songs. It was great to hear a Beatle do Helter Skelter after all these years.

by Anonymousreply 4112/13/2012

I'm really enjoying Paul's performance. Shit, he sounds really good.

by Anonymousreply 4212/13/2012

Helter-Skelter

by Anonymousreply 4312/13/2012

What did Brian Williams say to criticize?

Did he apologize for the swearing and/or open shirt?

I was watching but missed Brian Williams' comment on The Who.

I know the guitarist said 'fucking beer'.

by Anonymousreply 4512/13/2012

Brian Williams was showing hole to any takers backstage in the mens room.

He bleaches it.

by Anonymousreply 4612/13/2012

Alicia Keys was in magnificent, fantastic voice this evening.

I was really impressed with her voice and piano playing.

I have to apologize to my criticism of her in another thread about her singing. I said she sometimes sounds off-key....more than she should.

I have heard her sing off-key, but tonight at the Sandy concert, she was magnificent in every way.

(I think she was off-key and did not sound particularly good at Whitney Houston's funeral in the church, but I will refrain from any further criticism, as now I think she must most likely be on tune the vast majority of the time)

by Anonymousreply 4712/13/2012

I think the sound was very bad. I've never heard a concert sound so bad in my life. I know it's MSG and it isn't going to sound like Austin City Limits on PBS, but still.....

by Anonymousreply 4812/13/2012

R48, I don't know what channel you were watching it on, but the sound quality on AMC was terrible. I was flicking through the channels and the quality of Fox Movie Channel's version of the concert was excellent

by Anonymousreply 4912/13/2012

"This Girl is on Fire" drives me nuts. When I saw it in that commercial about the boring guy becoming interesting (what was the product)- I did not know it was her and I thought- commercial idea of a pop star- and a song that is as creative as a jingle- awful. Then I realize it is her and she is a big deal!

Don't get her at all- the voice- the music. I suppose she's a tad better than Britney and JLo.

by Anonymousreply 5012/13/2012

I find her singing strident and she does sing off key more often than not. That Girl Is on Fire is one note and boring, as is New York. I can never hear New York without conjuring up an image of Derek Jeter shilling for a local car dealer here in...wait for it...New York. I have to admit that I muted the sound when she started to sing at last night's concert so I cannot speak to her performance.

That commercial is for Amex and it drives me fucking bonkers.

by Anonymousreply 5212/13/2012

I would have thought that being associated with the Kardashians would mean Kanye could get a skirt that was more flattering to his hips.

Chris Martin was surprisingly good just sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar.

by Anonymousreply 5312/14/2012

R53. Did I miss the guitar part? I tuned in when he sat and played the piano.

by Anonymousreply 5412/14/2012

R54, Martin did three songs total. He played guitar for the first two and then moved to the piano for the last one.

The first song was him solo doing Viva la Vida. Then Michael Stipe joined him for a duet of Losing My Religion. When Stipe left the stage, Martin went to the piano while making a joke about the average age of all the performers.

Sounds like you might have missed those first two songs.
