Supposedly the Bieb's fans have been swarming social media as well, crying that he deserves a Grammy nomination and hashtagging #nobiebernogrammys.
Manager Scooter Braun lets loose over Justin Bieber's Grammy snub
|by Anonymous||reply 24||12/20/2012|
All award shows are nothing but marketing gimmicks. They have nothing to do with talent or merit, they are designed to separate stupid consumers from their money.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||12/06/2012|
Yes, R1. We are all just too stupid to resist paying for sub-par entertainment.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||12/06/2012|
Speak for yourself R2

Has Bieber's manager ever considered that perhaps Justin Bieber didn't deserve a Grammy nomination? That is a possibility.
And while yes, others who may not have deserved a nomination still might have gotten one, it still doesn't negate the possibility that the Grammy decision-makers heard Bieber's record and decided to take a pass. It's not difficult to comprehend nor is it out of the realm of possibility that is what happened.

Wuss. If he's angry he needs to SELL that shit! Get on YouTube and demand that they "THROW BIEBER A BONE!!" with lots of spittle and tears.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||12/06/2012|
Bieber is over unless he evolves into something more than the bubble gum Usher induced music

Rachel Maddow Picks Up Grammy Nomination For Best Spoken Word Album
Maddow was nominated for Best Spoken Word Album with her book, "Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power." She shares the category nomination with Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama.
And Bieber was snubbed. Haha.

"And Bieber was snubbed. Haha."
Why must you try to pit the lesbians against one another?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||12/06/2012|
Bieber caters to teen girls, you think teen girls know anything about music?
The Grammy's are about real musical talent, not manufactured.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH! O my fucking god, thats really funny.

r4, he's pissed because he knows it's all popular & political, like the Oscars.
By the popular token, Bieber should've been thrown a nomination or two.
I looked through the awards and they made no sense on merit, even amongst the nominees. They just picked a trend (stripped down, middling talent roots influence) and went with it. Alabama Shakes, Lumineers, etc.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||12/06/2012|
Glad Nicki Minaj was snubbed, the no-talent bitch doesn't deserve a nomination,
|by Anonymous||reply 12||12/06/2012|
[R12] Isn't there a category for best bitch fight with Mariah?

The Bieb will cry all the way to the bank. A year ago he lost the Best New Artist Grammy to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding. Now Spalding is still relatively unknown, while the Bieb keeps on making money, hand over fist.

The Grammys have to keep the Teenbeat stars under control, else they will lose all of their cred. MTV is the Teen awards.
Teenagers already have the EDM Grammy category. They also seem to have Country Music these days too (Taylor Swift).
Not everyone in the world is a 14 year old girl. Although by watching Entertainment TV today, you would find that hard to believe.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||12/18/2012|
Uuuuhhh...The Grammys judge QUALITY not QUANTITY? So it makes perfect sense that he was "snubbed" by committee. How is a 12 year-old girl who's into a self-impressed adolescent who looks like a dyke supposed to understand this concept?
|by Anonymous||reply 16||12/18/2012|
Maybe Justin Bieber should join Taylor Swift and become a Dubstep "artist". No musical talent required, no need to play a musical instrument or write music, just jump up and down on stage and push a button. You can actually win Grammys for doing this today.
Justin Bieber can push a button right?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||12/20/2012|
Scooter's tweets and comments about Justin's greatness in general are downright creepy
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/20/2012|
How desperate of a state does your show business career have to be in, for you to issue a public complement of Justin Bieber?
Talk about comments that will come back and haunt you for all eternity.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/20/2012|
Justin is over. Scooter won't make much more $$ off of Psy. Find a new kid to pimp out, hon.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||12/20/2012|
I would be embarrassed at winning a Grammy. Winning that is like coming in first place at the company picnic's sack race.
It has no prestige or status. Other than the Nobel Prize and the Academy Award, nothing really county.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/20/2012|
In other news....Taylor Swift was denied the Nobel Prize in Engineering for successfully replacing her cameras memory card.
Her manager is FURIOUS!
Her fans have been swarming NobelPrize.org, trying to shut it down.

As usual, DL proves it knows nothing about music, or how the music business works.
Like the Oscars (moreso, even), the Grammys are about both artistic achievement (as such) and sales.
I'm not saying Bieber should've been nominated, but it's certainly not out of the question that he could've been. The new album did help him, somewhat, transition into an "adult" artist.
As for this: [quote]The Bieb will cry all the way to the bank. A year ago he lost the Best New Artist Grammy to jazz singer Esperanza Spalding. Now Spalding is still relatively unknown, while the Bieb keeps on making money, hand over fist.
The Grammy was nothing but great for Esperanza. She'll never been even 1/100th as big as Bieber, but she's widely respected in the industry, and the award helped bump up her tour guarantees.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||12/20/2012|
Do the Grammys really want to turn the entire pop music industry over to the 14 year old girls? They already own Country and Dance (EDM) music now.
If yes..... then nominate Bieber.
