Sarah Palin on President Obama: "He believes in socialism, in redistributing, in confiscating hard-earned dollars..."
December 04, 2012
Bonus Quote of the Day
"He believes in socialism, in redistributing, in confiscating hard-earned dollars of our small businessmen and women so that they cannot re-invest their dollars and hire more people and grow and expand. Instead he believes in these failed socialist policies."
-- Sarah Palin, speaking about President Obama on Fox News.

Gosh OP, that doesn't sound like the Sarah Palin we've come to know.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||12/05/2012|
I agree r1, the OP should've included BREAKING NEWS in the title of the essential, and highly necessary thread.

Yes, it's damned hard having improvements to your home paid for with public funds. It takes a lot of scheming. It's damned hard appearing on TV and spewing word salads and earning tens of thousands of dollars for it. How dare anyone suggest that Ms. Palin contribute any of that to restore public funds.

John McCain please come and retrieve the disaster you created.

Here's what I don't get about these so called "job creators". They already have low tax rates thanks to George W. and the unemployment rate is 8.9. Why should we believe that they are going to "magically" find a way to create more jobs if the tax rates stay the same? They want the same tax breaks while cutting back hours and providing no benefits to their workers. They will lay off workers and pass along the cost of Obama care for their remaining employees to their customers. And they want to cut spending on the backs of the old, disabled and poor. All the while maintaining those obscene defense contracts for their friends and relatives. It's so obvious that the average American gets screwed by these people. Why can't someone in the media ask a simple question? What is going to CHANGE if nothing CHANGES?

I don't know how Steve Schmidt shows his face in public.

A friend of a friend on FB just posted, quite irate and upset, that she was seriously considering closing her 2 upscale women's fashion stores in northern california because of a .25% sales tax hike.
I don't get it. How could so small an increase affect her so greatly?
Were her profit margins razor thin? Is she just a sore loser (she voted for Romney)...?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||12/05/2012|
Far right republicans are fucking delusional.
[quote]Consistent with Obama's campaign of "At least I'm 'Not Romney,'" the Democrats have spent their post-election NOT on an agenda for the next 4 years, but in an auto-erotic frenzy of hating Republicans. They remind me of grade schoolers who hate their smarter contemporaries just for being smarter. We have a major consolation - in 2016, Republicans will still have the same core beliefs but far better messaging, while the Democrats will still be campaigning as "Not Bush." They have never had and never will have an "agenda" other than "free stuff."

This lazy grifter has a lot of nerve talking about hard-earned dollars.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||12/05/2012|
Alaska is one of those states that gets back more in Federal Aid than what they pay in. The wealth from states like New York, California, New Jersey is redistributed to Alaska.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||12/05/2012|
Poor John McCain. Here's a decorarated war hero and respected politician, and THIS is the legacy he leaves. She's never going away.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||12/05/2012|
She's right. You may not agree with her uncomfortable truths but please don't dismiss the messenger of those truths.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||12/05/2012|
I am a disabled AMERICAN VET, I wish Mrs. Palin and other people that share her veiws would just go away.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||12/05/2012|
She's right??? Someone actually can look at that word salad and agree with her?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||12/05/2012|
Who could possibly agree with this harridan?
|by Anonymous||reply 16||12/05/2012|
R13, which part of your brain cannot absorb R11's post? Which part of your brain cannot absorb the fact that most of the states with idiots screaming about "redistribution" are red states who *benefit* from redistribution?
She is the face of the "Keep the government's hands off of my medicare!" crowd.
Just a group of embarrassingly stupid, hypocritical idiots. Throw in Craig T. Nelson and Curt Schilling.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||12/05/2012|
r17, it's very easy to throw out insults rather than engage in the facts on the ground. Why don't you study it out yourself and see where the money is going?
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/05/2012|
R18 you're an idiot.
There is no plan to "confiscate money from men and women in small businesses."
You want to deal with the facts? Look at the cuts that the Administration has posed for small businesses and maintaining tax cuts for the middle class.
The FACTS are that the Republican Party during the Bush Administration used tax relief generally to give massive tax free living to the wealthy, and after taking the debt with that policy and two wars, wants the poor to pay for it in cuts to aid.
Grow up, wake up, and try to read a little, will you?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/05/2012|
R18 Engage in facts? BWAAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!
You totally ignore the question asked of you, totally ignore the fact that Palin is from and was governor of a state that benefits very well from redistribution. Those are facts. Live with it.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||12/05/2012|
I have a feeling r18 makes a habit of ignoring facts....
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/05/2012|
Facts have a well known liberal bias.

[quote]study it out
You have to be a troll, a Mormon or the stupid woman in the crowd at Hardball who kept screaming about Obama being a communist/socialist, yet when asked a *direct* question about how he was a either/both, she couldn't answer and just used the above three words - because like you, she can't give a specific example.
Since you've "studied it out," tell us specifically what he has done. Stop attempting to change the subject and stop being a coward.
Give us specific numbers/facts, anything. How much of your (imaginary) money has Obama taken in the last four years (and don't attempt to point to the next four years because you people were claiming he was a communist/socialist the last four years and there was no guarantee he'd win a second term, so point to all of the policies over the last four years that make your case.
If you can't answer with specifics, then I stand by what I said about your brain.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||12/05/2012|
Our whole tax system is redistributive. Is she just figuring this out now?
|by Anonymous||reply 24||12/05/2012|
She's a cunt. Nothing more need be said.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||12/05/2012|
[quote]Why don't you study it out yourself
Study it out = mor(m)on speak. That is one of the cult's buzzwords.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||12/05/2012|
Palin was sitting in the sound room when Fox handed her those talking points and asked that she read them in silence. You just know her lips were moving the whole time.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||12/05/2012|
Stupid twat apparently believes she is still somehow relevant.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||12/05/2012|
Who's willing to take a long bet? I've got $500 that says she's going to start crashing Republican conventions when they don't invite her.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||12/05/2012|
Where does she think the money comes from to provide politicians with their salaries and benefits?
Any politician who demonizes taxation should be required to work without material compensation.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||12/05/2012|
A better question R32 was where did she think the $442 million to build Alaska's famous "Bridge to No Where" was coming from? It wasn't Alaska that was funding it, it was all of us. And Saint Sarah approved.
[quote]In September 2006, during her campaign for Governor, Sarah Palin visited Ketchikan to express her support for the Gravina Island Bridge project....
[quote] After canceling the bridge, Palin's administration spent more than $25 million to build the Gravina Island Highway ...the money came from the federal government
