Another (Alleged) Ex-Lover Sues John Travolta
A former pilot who claims to have had a secret gay relationship with John Travolta is suing the actor ... claiming he NEVER signed a confidentiality agreement that would stop him from talking to the media ... but Travolta's camp says he's completely full of crap.
The man behind the lawsuit is Doug Gotterba -- who claims he served as Travolta's pilot from 1981 to 1987. Gotterba made headlines recently when he reportedly spoke to the National Enquirer about his "steamy affair" with the actor.
Gotterba does not go into detail about his personal relationship with Travolta in the lawsuit ... but says after the media tidal wave that ensued, he received a threatening letter from Travolta's attorney Marty Singer.
In the suit, Gotterba claims Singer threatened to sue him for violating a confidentiality agreement he signed when he stopped working for Travolta.
Gotterba claims he DID sign a termination agreement ... but it didn't include anything about confidentiality. Therefore, Gotterba says he did nothing wrong ... and should be allowed to talk about Travolta without fear of a lawsuit.
But Singer tells TMZ Gotterba's lawsuit is "ridiculous" ... because he DID sign a contract that contains a confidentiality agreement ... and he even included the document in his lawsuit.
Singer adds, "Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed."

I remember that pilot. He always was looking at my sexy John funny and I KNOW this is an attempt at extortion. Leah and Kirstie told me to ignore him, but I can't. John is so upset he only has hot and virile sex with me three times a day now. How can I get pregnant again with that sort of pace?

I guess this proves that closeted stars really do make their bfs and tricks sign confidentiality agreements
|by Anonymous||reply 2||12/04/2012|
Hmm, I wonder if it's this guy:
|by Anonymous||reply 3||12/04/2012|
So did Travolta actually had this kind of relationship with his former pilot? I mean he admits that?
John is so cute...
Does anybody know more about that?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||12/04/2012|
That photo R3 posted looks like the opening scene of a bear porn movie.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||12/04/2012|
No it's not the much hotter guy in the link above, it's an older, never hot guy from long ago.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||12/04/2012|
Why can't we move on from torturing this wonderful heterosexual husband and father?
|by Anonymous||reply 7||12/04/2012|
What Travolta says about all that?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||12/04/2012|
I've never understood the logic of a confidentiality agreement.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||12/04/2012|
Interesting that the only (you should pardon the expression) bone of contention is whether there was a confidentiality agreement, NOT whether they were lovers!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||12/04/2012|
Grounds to sue for $$$ if someone breaks it, r9. They aren't great, but they beat pinky-promises.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||12/04/2012|
John Travolta is not a fag!
And I'm just the dame to prove it!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||12/04/2012|
FFS WERE THEY??????????????????????????????
John Travolta seems a gentle and sweet man, i'm curius...has he any dark secrets in his closet?

Jett could answer that if he were still alive.

[quote]who claims to have had a secret gay relationship with John Travolta
Why do they always have to add the redundant word "gay"?
"My Secret GAY Affair with Male Politician"
|by Anonymous||reply 17||12/04/2012|
R17...for attracting gay lovers maybe
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/04/2012|
I wish he would just come out already. It is not going to change anyone's opinion of him. You either like his work or you don't. Everyone knows he's gay. He's gotta know everyone knows. So what he had children with a straight woman? Whatever they had, they made work, which is a lot more than most couples can say.
It's gotta be the CoS holding him back. There is no other explanation.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/04/2012|
R19 you wrote 'everyone knows he is gay'. I personally don't know it. How are you so sure about his sexuality?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||12/04/2012|
R11 But having to sue to get even is worse than the secret itself.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/04/2012|
Did they let him keep his Edna Turnblad outfit for sneaking out incognito?
|by Anonymous||reply 22||12/04/2012|
Outed more times than Liberace
|by Anonymous||reply 23||12/04/2012|
R3, that pic is not from the 80's. It's within the last 10 years.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||12/04/2012|
I feel sorry for Travolta. He's entirely manipulated and says nothing. All the people who control him fight like hell to quash the stories of the real travolta because they believe they will be physically whipped by the Sciento's and not have jobs if John's penchant for stiff pole is proven.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||12/04/2012|
He was so hot in the Two Of A Kind and Staying Alive era.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||12/04/2012|
R20, you are just being a confrontational ass. Celebs like Rashida Jones and Carrie Fisher have outed him. And just how many ex-lovers and alleged victims of harassment have to come forward? This is way beyond the "where there's smoke there's fire" stage.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||12/04/2012|
I'd always wondered how enforceable confidentiality agreements are. I can see they would be for people who work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. They want to continue working, but for more peripheral people like this guy, household help, etc., it seems like they're empty threats. Travolta's lawyer sent a letter threatening to sue...
I kind of believe the pilot. He ended his employment in '87. Wasn't this before confidentiality agreements became standard for employment with the wealthy and famous?
|by Anonymous||reply 29||12/04/2012|
Carry Fisher...i wonder what made her say that...
Maybe he is gay...i don't know
Is Carry Fisher dependable?
|by Anonymous||reply 30||12/04/2012|
I guess this device is not working properly...
|by Anonymous||reply 31||12/04/2012|
Are Travolta's denials dependable after dozens of people have outed him?
|by Anonymous||reply 32||12/04/2012|
r31, the Sciento's use and even bigger machine to insert their suppositories.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||12/04/2012|
It seems to have advanced beyond the wires and 2 tin can stage.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||12/04/2012|
r35, I think you are confusing the libyan uprising with travolta.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||12/04/2012|
Seriously, the tables have turned the last few years. It's now more of an negative if you don't come out or claim you were out all the time.
EG: Susie Orman, Chef Ann Burell, Neil Patrick Harris.
That whole "will ruin my career" argument is tired. Besides, it's not like John Travolta is being pitched a lot of new rolls. Plus he is very wealthy. Not like his life depended on it.
Will an Grace has come and gone, it's ok to come out John.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||12/04/2012|
[quote] Besides, it's not like John Travolta is being pitched a lot of new rolls.
You just haven't noticed because he catches them in his mouth and swallows them whole.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||12/04/2012|
But they are not *empty* threats, r29. You really can sue and you win because they are legally binding. No one wants to spend that amount of money on gossiping.
(Of course that only goes for legal activity, you can't get sued for reporting a crime.)
|by Anonymous||reply 39||12/04/2012|
From the legal perspective, you're right, R39, but how many celebrities actually go through with a lawsuit? The expense and time and having details come out in a lawsuit. And if they go after people without money... Travolta's lawyer didn't bother with actually suing.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||12/04/2012|
[quote]it's not like John Travolta is being pitched a lot of new rolls
|by Anonymous||reply 41||12/04/2012|
Rolls of fat? Yes, they're constantly pitching themselves at hi.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||12/04/2012|
I think John swings both ways. He should just say I had relationships with men and woman, and refused to talk about any accussations that occured during his marriage.
It's a private matter and it's the business of he and his wife and he should tell everyone else to fuck off.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||12/04/2012|
So the Travolta camp is basically admitting it's true. Because I guess if you're suing someone for breaking a confidentiality agreement you're pretty much saying he's spilling the beans. Should we consider this John's coming out? Let's have a coming out party.
