I'd like to see a thread exploring whether internet porn of the past 5-7 years focusing on "straight" guys trying (and ultimately enjoying) male-male encounters has caused an evolution where young guys in general are now more open to homo encounters without necessarily considering themselves gay, therefore breaking long held stereotypes. I'm talking about sites like Sean Cody, Corbin Fisher, Active Duty etc. When these sites first appeared it seemed fascinating brave and unusual, but now it seems like we've reached a point where this is so ubiquitous its considered the norm not the exception. Has this caused a fundamental change in our society in how young men view themselves and their sexuality?
Gay to straight...as long as you are straight?

You are deluded if you think porn aimed at creepy eldergays means anything to society at large.

Gay isn't a sex thing it is an EMOTIONAL thing.
I'm sure there are guys out there looking at a watermelon with sexual desire. But that is just horny, not "fruitsexual" or whatever the term is for that.

I'm moving this post over from a different thread:
I understand your topic and you are correct. straight boys are becoming more comfortable experimenting as long as they are not labeled by it.
once the alpha males go to same sex pleasure, as many of them are these days, the rest of the boys feel it's acceptable as long as it's not emotional about it.
it seems even the emotional stuff is changing too, its just more implicit and less verbally expressed.

Not that they're just horny junkies who'd fuck a donut hole for a few bucks or nuthin'.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||12/02/2012|
Please, no straight guy looks at this. It's just a cheap bad boring crap to make money of a bunch of self-loathing fag losers.
You think straight guys are off fucking guys because of CF? LOL.

Gay for Pay is not new in gay porn. Jeff stryker, Rex Changler, and Ryan Idol all had a gay for pay images and got worshipped for it. Even back then it was a huge deal when a video was released where they would do something they hadn't done before.
Young men are now even more aware about being objectified and how to (financially) benefit from it. It also puts a great deal of stress to look desirable for that little sexting pic or jerk off video that you share with someone special, because it's easy to see all the competition out there on the internet.
Young guys have also easy access to all sorts of underground fetish cultures. I swear it took me four different tumblr blogs/profiles to go from jocks to bear to leather to watersport/scat (through the 'I follow' recommendation frame) or from jocks to twinks to barely legal twinks to what could be considered pedophile material. Young people explore and are exposed to so much sex these days and it must be difficult to process all these things without having anyone real to talk to and all they have are facebook friends.

Sorry: Jeff Stryker, Rex Chandler, ...

I think as time has passed, people have generally become more open to various sexual experiences and fetishes, but not solely because of internet porn. What I will say is: the sites that you've listed exist to play up on a specific sexual fantasy about "getting" the straight guy. In my mind they haven't really broken any stereotypes because all of the performers look, act and say the same weekly. These sites still exist because to the other extent, having same-sex sexual experiences (especially males) is still considered taboo. To those obviously willing to pay, it is exciting to see a hot, white, masculine "straight" guy give in to "forbidden" sexual desires -- all while being filmed. With this in mind, I'm willing to bet the vast majority of those buyers aren't heterosexual males. So two things: (1) I'll maintain that money talks for those looking for cash for whatever reason; (2) young completely heterosexual males are probably becoming more open to different sexual experiences (anal sex), but I'm also willing to bet that those experiences are going to be with females.

I'm assuming most on DataLounge are not the least bit offended by the homophobic "Gay-for-Pay" phrase?

"straight boys are becoming more comfortable experimenting as long as they are not labeled by it."
Most straight guys have zero interest in gay sex.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||12/02/2012|
It's a fantasy, R10. You're speaking the truth, but your truth makes no difference to him. To him, straight "boys" have gay sex.

You mean that every guy who's popped an erection in/after the showers is gay? Youth, nakedness, and being horny all the time coupled with more examples of gay acts available for consumption means more straight guys having quasi gay experiences or full on gay experiences.
Didn't every school have the one kid who played the "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" game with every guy in class? That's the prototype for new gay experimentation.

I would say, you're a porn addict.

"Broke Straight Boys" is the king of this genre, imho... not any of the others you mentioned, OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||12/02/2012|
Could these 'actors' be... BI-SEXUAL? Perhaps?
I wonder how many exhaustive casting sessions it takes to find men who have sex with men who are "straight-acting"?

And, you encourage this self-loathing because it gets your cock hard.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||12/02/2012|
What gets peoples' cock hard are labels. No matter if it's the Lacoste logo or the 'I'm straight! but if you give me money you can use me as your personal cum bucket!' label.
We are a society OBSESSED with categories and labels. We are scared of stuff that has not yet a clear labeled file category. And we constantly need to re-affirm definitions of terms and labels like they are our own personal mantra and lullaby songs and without them our world would shatter into pieces.

"Sex" and "Gay" are not synonymous
Sex is just Sex
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/02/2012|
Just to clarify: we're only discussing young sexually adventurous HAWT guys here. Confused fugs need not apply.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/02/2012|
R17 - you are right. Labels do get many gay male's cocks hard, especially the "straight" label. The "gay" label makes them go limp quickly. The one's on datalounge at least - because this is the capitol of self-loathing.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||12/02/2012|
No it's not, R18.

I used to work for an "adult" web company.
If you honestly believe that the guys who call themselves straight and are sucking cock and taking it up the ass in porn are actually straight I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you.
A very large percentage of profiles on gay dating sites are fake.
I once posted vintage photos of elderly couples on thestraight dating site the company I worked for did under the headline "Older Couple Seeks Younger Playmates" and the responses flooded in.
And Bait Bus isn't real.
The only thing that is real is just how quickly some of you gullible queens part with your cash under the impression you are watching straight guys having gay sex.
