Do women pay for sex?

Not so much buying the services of a hustler, but paying to "keep" a hunky guy at her side?

I've just seen a lot of unbalanced couples lately (fugly fattie + studly guy).

by Anonymousreply 5212/02/2012

Woody Harrelson played a Washington walker but he was of course gay. Apparently the ladies weren't paying him for sex.

by Anonymousreply 112/01/2012

I heard they did,

by Anonymousreply 212/01/2012

Is that a frau at Madame Tussaud's in OP's pic?

by Anonymousreply 312/01/2012

Which is it you're asking? Make up your fucking mind.

Women do not pay for sex. Some women do support or otherwise pay to have a man in their life.

by Anonymousreply 612/01/2012

"Some women do support or otherwise pay to have a man in their life."

Lots of women either support or are financially bankrupted by the men in their lives (Lauren Hutton, Debbie Reynolds, Judy Garland, etc.).

by Anonymousreply 712/01/2012

I have a relative who married a guy who is way out of her leagues look wise and I suspect the reason he married her is because his father-in-law is very successful and was able to get him a job. The guy is a shiftless douchenozzle, but he's hot.

by Anonymousreply 912/01/2012

Your example is pretty stupid, OP. John and Elizabeth Edwards married when they were both young and pretty. As they aged, he took great care of himself and she did not. She did not pay him to have sex--their money was pooled, like almost all married couples.

by Anonymousreply 1012/01/2012

"I've just seen a lot of unbalanced couples lately (fugly fattie + studly guy)."

Your photo is of John and Elizabeth Edwards. She didn't "pay for it", you dumbass. That picture is them after being married for 20 something years; she was quite good-looking when young and not dying of breast cancer. And obviously you have never seen a photo of Edward's mistress Rielle Hunter; the woman looks like a rat wearing a blonde wig. She didn't "pay for it", either.

by Anonymousreply 1112/01/2012

Why would you pay for something when you can get it for free?

by Anonymousreply 1212/01/2012

Hmmm I am a witness that free sex can be found anywhere. Why pay?

by Anonymousreply 1312/01/2012

Someone I once knew who worked for a Boston hotel said that Lily Tomlin paid for prostitutes when she was in town.

by Anonymousreply 1412/01/2012

Women might have to pay for sex from women (I doubt it), but they will NEVER have to pay for sex from men. Ever.

by Anonymousreply 1512/01/2012

I met a lady who ACTED for pay on "Gigolos." I've also seen the ads for actresses, nudity required, on Craigslist for that show. It's just supposedly representative of "reality" in Vegas.

As an actress I've met real gigolos, and almost wrote a book on the subject. Want to be a gigolo? Get a job at a store like Saks selling to very wealthy women. Think your customers are all (using DL language) "bitches and cunts?" You shouldn't even consider being a gigolo. Your #1 job is too charm and please women who can't easily get model-looking, educated, classy young men to cater to them. All gigolos are also at least somewhat bi. Many of the clients are very overweight and unattractive, and want to make an ex jealous, or show-off to their friends. Some ladies want a 3-some for their husband, or something a little unusual, while always "calling the shots."

Ever encounter a bartender in a very expensive establishment where most of the clientele is female? He wouldn't be hired unless he was a perfect diplomat, and knew how to flatter and entertain when needed. I'm sure he would get plenty of propositions, and even extra tips for special services.

You see women DO pay for sex because most men have NO idea how to please a women. It's starts by being a superb dinner host. Seduction is very important; that's the reason why the movie Magic Mike wasn't as good as it could have been.

by Anonymousreply 1712/01/2012

Why no, darling, why do you ask?

by Anonymousreply 1812/01/2012

Actually we have to correct ourself!!!

There are certain mega rich and very weird fish, like Madonna, who have paid million$$$$$$$$$$(aka Guy Ritchie) for sex!

by Anonymousreply 1912/01/2012

Bonnie Hunt tells the Fabio story.

by Anonymousreply 2012/01/2012

Most of the Real Housewives of Atlanta are supporting their husbands/bfs.

by Anonymousreply 2112/01/2012

The answer: NO.

Male hustlers service men. Period.

by Anonymousreply 2212/01/2012

How utterly absurd!!

by Anonymousreply 2312/01/2012

R7, Lauren Hutton is 80% gay. I don't believe her story about Bob Williamson (her once escort) ripping her off. Unless she's as stupid as she wants everyone to believe. The story was used to show how "straight" she is -- that Williamson supposedly made that up so he could cheat on her. Even David Ehrenstein wrote here that he saw Lauren and her gf practically making out at a screening.

by Anonymousreply 2412/01/2012

Of course not, OP - pussy is always its own reward.

by Anonymousreply 2512/01/2012

Lauren Hutton is a cheap bitch. I used to eat at the Bagel in the Village. She was famous for eating there, and she never, ever left a tip. This was during her Revlon years too. The waiters couldn't believe it. Karma's a bitch.

by Anonymousreply 2612/01/2012

Not quite what OP meant, but I wish male prostitution for women was more common. I would totally pay if it were a really professional operation. Male strangers who randomly hit on me often creep me out, or more like I get anxious and overly-suspect from not knowing their context--even if they're classy. So I've ended up sleeping with guys who I really know, but they're usually just friends and it can get awkward. Since I don't want relationships but still like sex, a male prostitute sounds like it could be the answer to my longtime conundrum.

by Anonymousreply 2712/01/2012

[quote]Male strangers who randomly hit on me often creep me out, or more like I get anxious and overly-suspect from not knowing their context--even if they're classy.

Ha, this is where gay men and women differ. Context means nothing to a gay man that just wants to have sex.

by Anonymousreply 2812/01/2012

Only when their men pass along an STD.

by Anonymousreply 2912/01/2012

Most dumpy-woman-hot-guy couples can be accounted for with these two explanations: 1) She was just as hot when they got together, and 2) he's too poor to get a hot babe.

As for women paying for men, IMHO it mostly happens at the high and low ends of society. Wealthy women may enjoy the company of a gigolo, and poor women may not be able to find a man with a job. Some of them end up supporting a man to keep him, rather than be alone.

by Anonymousreply 3012/01/2012

British and Canadian fraus are notorious for flying to Cuba or Haiti or some poverty-row to sleep with poor young men. They shower them with gifts, so that it isn't a cash exchange therefore not "prostitution." These men are usually black and refer to these women as "milk bottles."

by Anonymousreply 3112/01/2012

I have met a few ugly women-hot guy marriages where a green card was at stake.

by Anonymousreply 3212/01/2012

They shouldn't. Any woman that pays for dick is making a bad investment.

by Anonymousreply 3312/01/2012

Elizabeth Edwards attempted to have a child via in vitro fertilization. Each in vitro cycle adds about 20 lbs. Ultimately, the children were born via surrogate because the in vitro attempts were unsuccessful.

She underwent in vitro because her husband wanted another son after the death of their only son Wade when he was a teenager.

by Anonymousreply 3412/01/2012

I remember seeing a documentary a couple of years ago about women, mostly from Western Europe, UK, and Canada travelling to places like Indonesia, Caribbean, and Latin America and hooking up with local guys, often family men, with the implicit understanding that they would support them financially while there and even when they would get back home, until the next visit. The guys interviewed were pretty brazen about these arrangements and boasted that they were working several Western women at the same time. The strange thing was that some of the women were actually reasonably attractive but fucked up in one way or another so they craved these bizzarre relationships, even though they were fully aware that they were being used financially.

by Anonymousreply 3512/01/2012

My mom's friend married a guy from the Dominican. He's 35 and she's 54, they've been together for a few years now, but I think he might get his citizenship soon so now he's acting like an asshole so they get divorced. And because she sponsored him, he gets to stay in the country and she is responsible for him the entire time. He's most like going to sponsor his girlfriend back in the DR he had while they were dating.

She's Canadian.

by Anonymousreply 3612/01/2012

That's like that fool who wrote How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

by Anonymousreply 3712/01/2012

Women 'paying for it' is more about companionship than what men call sex -- any gay guy can do than for a woman. It's not amount penetration, it's about company.

by Anonymousreply 3812/01/2012

Men pay prostitutes to go away, women pay prostitutes to stick around.

by Anonymousreply 3912/01/2012

Well, R38 and R39, I guess I'm an exception to that rules.

I would love for technically-good-in-bed men to sleep with me and never see me again.

by Anonymousreply 4012/01/2012

R30, I've known many hot men that choose far less attractive women, because they don't like competition from other men. Perhaps their mothers weren't faithful, or they have control issues. It's not always about money. Sometimes there's a connection because of similar special interests or talents or work connections as well. Not everyone is focused on superficial looks.

by Anonymousreply 4112/01/2012

that *rule

by Anonymousreply 4212/01/2012

[quote]technically-good-in-bed men

Is there such a thing?

by Anonymousreply 4312/01/2012

Women always pay in a relationship.

by Anonymousreply 4412/01/2012

R43, Yes I think there is such a thing! But ones who are stuck-up about it are annoying as hell and a complete turnoff.

R44- LOL.

I haven't had the desire for a committed relationship or romantic companionship yet, and I'm pushing 30. I guess it's good that I wasn't born in another time and/or place.

by Anonymousreply 4512/01/2012

[quote]Do women pay for sex?

OP, it's the other way around.

Women are paid to have sex.

Children and pussy are women's only bargaining chips with men

by Anonymousreply 4612/02/2012

Yes. I live in Austin and during the legislative session I know a really good looking guy who was offered money by a female lobbyist/businesswomen to have sex with her. She just saw him walking down the street. He didn't. But, women are much more discreet, because they have to be. They are not usually going to try to pick up a guy off the street. Especially if they are married. They have to be careful and will go to an establishment. This has been going on for a while. In the Autobiography of Malcolm X one of his first jobs as a young man was taking middle class and wealthy white women to an establishment where they paid to have sex with hot yound black men. This would have been in the 40's. Your problem is that you don't think women like sex.

by Anonymousreply 4712/02/2012

My mom's friend's son used to drive for a private car service in Marin. He is a good looking, tall well put together black man. The wealthy women he drove would constantly pressure him for sex. They were so brazen he had to quit the job. I also heard French women go to Senegal to hook up with buff black men. My Swiss friend has a good looking black boyfriend. I think it's a green situation.

by Anonymousreply 4812/02/2012

R43, Of course there's such a thing as a "technically good-in-bed man." Number 1, they're 100% focused on what the woman SAYS that she wants, as they're superb listeners and diplomats. They're very, very patient. They also know the role of fantasy and seduction. As I posted earlier, I almost wrote a book on the subject but couldn't find a publisher.

by Anonymousreply 4912/02/2012

"Elizabeth Edwards attempted to have a child via in vitro fertilization... Ultimately, the children were born via surrogate because the in vitro attempts were unsuccessful."

Whose eggs did they end-up using, cuz they didn't come out of her.

by Anonymousreply 5012/02/2012

But r48, they weren't going to PAY for sex.

by Anonymousreply 5112/02/2012

I thought Elizabeth Edwards carried both children to term.
