[quote]EMOTIONALLY frazzled MARIE OSMOND is hiding a secret heartbreak that has people close to her afraid she’s headed for another major meltdown! The fragile 53-year-old star is still shattered over her late son Michael’s suicide and has been spiraling into the holiday blues while rehearsing for her upcoming “Donny & Marie – Christmas in Los Angeles” show, because it was Michael’s favorite time of year.

Isn't this wench having a meltdown every week?

by Anonymousreply 3908/24/2014

She's probably also upset because Mittens lost the election.

by Anonymousreply 111/29/2012

How is this affecting her Hallmark Channel talk show that no one is watching? For this we lost Martha and Lucinda?

by Anonymousreply 211/29/2012

Not to sound too frau-ish, but c'mon, her son is dead. It's something you never get over.

Not a fan of her or anything. Just sad for her.

by Anonymousreply 311/29/2012

I don't know r3...I watched her "one and only" interview on her sons death with Oprah. The woman was so incredibly narcisstic..(yes I spelled it wrong) It was all about her and how the boy would have been so concerned with her happiness and how she feels and was awful and so insulting to the troubled child.

plus remarrying that gay husband of her's is probably a little downer.

[quote]her son is dead

Her adopted son

by Anonymousreply 511/29/2012

I would imagine that if Oprah had her on, it would be about how she feels.

But I didn't see it, so I couldn't say. Still sad, narcissist or not.

[quote]Her adopted son

Did she get him from Mitt?

Does she have a sister wife she can confide in? And I'm not talking about Donny!

by Anonymousreply 911/29/2012

I have met Marie several times. She really is a genuinely nice, gay friendly, person. I hope she can get through it.

Well, that's part of the problem right there. There's something very damaging inside a person's head when Christmas is your favorite time of year. It's a fake kind of happiness that only leads to a build-up that no one can sustain or live up to and ultimately results in depression. Don't let Christmas be your favorite time of year. You'll be headed for a holy hell of a let down come January.

by Anonymousreply 1111/29/2012

She lost me back in 2008 when they asked her if she was voting for Barack or McCain and she haughtily replied that McCain was the only choice because Democrats constantly raise taxes and waste your hard earned money. Since then I knew she was a selfish self-involved cunt.

Surprisingly Donny said he was most likely going with Barack as he liked the idea of change and of having a younger President.

by Anonymousreply 1311/29/2012

What the hell difference does it make if he was adopted?

by Anonymousreply 1411/29/2012

R13 can't think an an intelligent or witty reply so goes with the often overused, never funny *yawn* Mary!!

by Anonymousreply 1511/29/2012

I dislike Marie Osmond for an almost infinite number of reasons.

When I was a kid, my sister attempted suicide, and I saw how it tore at my parents. They were never the same. A couple of years ago, the grown son of some good friends killed himself. It destroyed them. They are not the people they were before.

Celebrities are human beings no matter how obnoxious we know or think them to be. Marie Osmond lost a child, which is one of the worst experiences available to humans.

It sounds like you're the one with the damage.

Let me tell you, I went and saw their Christmas show on Broadway and it was GOOD! I loved it! At one point during the show, Marie talked a little about her son and said she sang all sorts of songs but few people knew that opera was one of her favorites. The production was spectacular. All of a sudden Marie was up on this pedestal in a beautiful gown, bathed in blue light, and she began singing an amazing aria. I was shocked. They'd been singing and dancing for an hour non-stop. Kadooz to them, as Ramona would say.

by Anonymousreply 1811/29/2012

Maybe she just realized she was too busy working instead of saving her son.

by Anonymousreply 1911/29/2012

Hssssssssssssssssssss, R19

by Anonymousreply 2011/29/2012

R17. No, I've been spared from thinking Christmas is the happiest time of the year.

by Anonymousreply 2111/29/2012

Can someone please start a thread on rumors/stories the Enquirer has been right about or scooped before anyon else. Thanks

[quote]Isn't this wench having a meltdown every week?

I will cut that bitch for stealing my routine!

by Anonymousreply 2311/30/2012

I'll be seeing the show in LA next Friday. I'll report back if by any chance she has a meltdown on stage that night.

by Anonymousreply 2411/30/2012

[quote]Her adopted son

Why in the world would you make that distinction?

I know nothing about what Marie Osmond is like personally but I'll share this story. My best friend of 35 plus years has a sister. His sister's daughter committed suicide...horribly sad story. Anyway, last year he took his sister to Vegas and got tix to a Donnie and Marie show. He somehow got word backstage to Marie about his sister. After the show, she invited them backstage. He said they greeted each other with a hug and no words. My friend said that Marie and his sister both held each other and cried. Marie invited his sister into her dressing room where they talked for an hour. He has never asked her what they talked about because he felt it was too personal but he knows.

by Anonymousreply 2512/01/2012

Marie said she would rather have food poisoning than endorse a political candidate.

She's been so outspoken in her support for her gay daughter that the church told her to clam up. She hasn't. Marie sort of just does what she feels is right.

by Anonymousreply 2612/01/2012

I really hadn't thought about them in years until I went to see their Christmas show. I bought the tkts for a friend who loved them as a kid. But they are true entertainers. Real talents. Marie comes off as being a sweetheart, touching, earthy, glam, amazing singer/dancer.

I don't imagine them being foolish enough to take political sides when they've already got the Mormon thing against them. You don't last in the business when you take sides. It's career suicide. Stay in the middle. Keep the waves little.

by Anonymousreply 2712/01/2012

Marie's song for her son.

by Anonymousreply 2812/01/2012

I sincerely do hope she's as nice as she seems, same with Donny since we already know a couple of her brothers are severe rightwing cunts!

by Anonymousreply 2912/01/2012

That's a beautiful story, R25. R20, its so wrong to laugh reading a thread like this one, and you are EVIL for having made me do it! You must BE MINE!

by Anonymousreply 3012/01/2012

I have around with Marie on several occasions. One time I was helping her at Neimans, I didn't know it was her at first - I was actually checking out this woman with a strippers body- This was Vegas after all - lol- I was shocked when I realized it was her- I told her I watched her when I was a kid and she said "well you come with me" and took my arm and I helped her for over an hour- she is VERY gay friendly and supportive - especially given that she is a Mormon- I think we are lucky to have a Mormon in a high profile position that isn't bashing us. I dont know what she is really like in her day to day life - she does seem very fragile emotionally - I dont know why- and yes her show is actually quite good- cheesy but they are both good entertainers- now Donny doesn't seem very warm to the gays- he looked at me like I wan going to try and molest him - when in reality I was just trying to figure out where his hair piece starts and ends- its a good one !

[quote]I didn't know it was her at first - I was actually checking out this woman with a strippers body-

Funny. When I see her on TV I think she looks great, but I also think she looks like an ex-stripper (or porn star).

by Anonymousreply 3208/24/2014

Is there a Marie Osmond doll of her son?

Available on the shopping channels?

by Anonymousreply 3308/24/2014

Say what you will, the work she's had done is pretty good. At least she still looks like herself.

by Anonymousreply 3408/24/2014

R33 Yes. My friend Julie sent one to Robin Williams.

by Anonymousreply 3508/24/2014

Thank you R35. I wonder how much Marie made from sales of the doll of her son?

What's next? Marie dolls pre and post facial work?

She seems to be worshiping money with her constant tours and Vegas shows and products.

I don't mean to insult drag queens here, but I think her recent face work makes her look like a drag queen.

by Anonymousreply 3608/24/2014

Give it a break. Not funny

by Anonymousreply 3708/24/2014

Marie seems like a genuinely nice, great person.

by Anonymousreply 3808/24/2014

I like her. I do not know her troubles, but she seems like a devoted mom, and certainly a hard worker.
