Do they still teach the Alexander Technique to the acting students at Julliard?

by Anonymousreply 311/28/2012

Nope. Went to Yale.

by Anonymousreply 411/28/2012

Ask Val Kilmer.

I, of course went to Yale.

For graduate work.

bump

New DL fave Jessica Chastain did.

I know a couple of people from the writers program.

by Anonymousreply 1011/29/2012

is the acting program really as difficult as people say

by Anonymousreply 1111/29/2012

Any acting program worthy of the name is tough. Julliard's toughness is in the small size--exclusivity, selectivity, and once you're in, you can still be cut.

someone told me Juilliard drives their actors crazy....worse than other schools

by Anonymousreply 1311/29/2012

I imagine Juilliard gets rid of EVERY student who doesn't look like he is straight, with model good looks and instantly castable in leads on television and films upon graduation. They're in it for themselves, you just come pay them tens of thousands of dollars to assist them in their scheme.

Michael Urie went there...and it don't get gayer than that.

Juilliard drama is all scholarship. No one pays tuition, r14.

by Anonymousreply 1611/30/2012

oh my r16...doesn't that lead to a lot of underclass students?
