Stephen King Sequels ....

Amazon shows that King's 'The Shining' sequel (Doctor Sleep) doesn't come out until September 2013.

Which book would you rather see a sequel to ?

I wonder what ever happened to that little girl, Amelia that was talked about in the letters in the last few pages of 'Carrie'. She'd be in her late 30's now ....

And also, is Mark Petrie from 'The Shining' still fighting the vampires ??

Considering DR. SLEEP is about vampires... I'd say so, OP.

NO ONE.

Dr. Sleep is about the grown up Danny Torrance, isn't it ?? He's fighting vampires in the sequel ??

A Carrie prequel. Her grandmother on her father's side also had telekinesis.

"And also, is Mark Petrie from 'The Shining' still fighting the vampires ??"

Mark Petrie wasn't in "The Shining." He was the vampire-fighting 12 year old in "Salem's Lot."

I wish King had done a sequel to Salem's Lot. He said he did do a sequel to it, kind of, with the Dark Tower series that featured Father Callahan. But that was a convoluted piece of shit, with different "types" of vampires and crap like that. He should have done a straightforward sequel to SL; that might have really something.

The sequel to The Talisman sucked!

Click the R1 link and find out, R3! Jeez.

I'd like to see a sequel to The Stand.

Sorry I'm so stupid. I *know* Mark Petrie was in 'Salem's Lot'. DOH.

Always wanted King to do the promised followup to 'Salem's Lot.

by Anonymousreply 1011/24/2012

Salem's Lot was one of King's better novels. I think he said it was the one he most wanted to write. There were somee lyrical passages about small town life, which is a recurring theme in his work - but he never wrote about it as well in any of his successive books.

Is that old queen still writing and people buying that shit?!
