Turkey Emergecy!!!

I'm trying to brine my turkey. The directions say breast side down. How do you tell which side is the breast? Help!!!

by Anonymousreply 1411/20/2012

Look for the nipple rings.

Please tell me you're the twink from a couple years ago who tried to brine his turkey in baking soda. That turned into a classic DL thread.

OP, Google "image turkey dinner" and look at the pictures.

In ever one of them, the turkey is breast side up.

opposite of backbone, vertebrae.

The breast is the portion which is rounded a bit. Take your turkey and flip it over basically.

This has to be a joke. If not the op is too stupid to be allowed to operate an oven.

OP, do you have a mirror? 'kay. Now, stand in front of the mirror. Go ahead, stand there. Now, take off your shirt. Yes, I want you bare-chested. 'kay?

Are you looking in the mirror? Do you see your nipples? On your breasts? Good. Now pretend you are a turkey. If you are fat, this will be easier to imagine.

Picture the turkey, all naked standing up on those big haunches called drumsticks. Got it? Great! See? His breasts are in the same place as yours!

Now. If you lay down on the floor, on your back, you will be "breasts side up" get it? So when you place the turkey in the pan, it is lying on its back, breasts side up! See? Don't you feel smart!
