Grab your tinhats, bitches...

Anonymous hackers claim they STOPPED our dear KKKarl Rove from stealing the election with the ORCA software.

Hmmm, if this is true, many things make more sense in Republican world on election eve.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5711/21/2012

KKKarl did seem shocked that Ohio didn't come thru as he expected.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 111/17/2012

Bool Shite!

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 211/17/2012

I truly believe this.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 311/18/2012

Explains Rove's reaction.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 411/18/2012

I believe that they believe it

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 511/18/2012

I'd dismiss this had Karl Rove not been so surprised by what was happening in Ohio on election night and so sure of himself that the vote count would be reversed before the night was over.

I don't necessarily believe Anonymous, but Rove's reaction that night sure leaves room for wonder.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 611/18/2012

It's felt like Christmas since the election, but it would be the best Christmas ever if I could see Karl do the perp walk over and over on my TV.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 711/18/2012

I concur with R6.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 811/18/2012

It's entirely possible. The ONLY thing that makes me pause is that even if Rove had flipped Ohio, and Florida, Romney still would have been 17 EVs short. He would either have to flip PA, or something like VA and NH to hit at least 270. That's a lot of state flipping, but maybe that's what the "razor close" talking point was supposed to cover.

I don't doubt for a second that Rove would have flipped Ohio like he did in 2004, but that only got them part way there.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 911/18/2012

I believe that they took down ORCA, but I need to see some proof that ORCA would have altered vote counts.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1011/18/2012

Wonkette was first with that piece. I thought it was satire. Hard to tell these days.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1111/18/2012

I agree, R6. Another thing that leads me to wonder is the ORCA debacle. Another thread here linked a Redstate article, but it seems to have disappeared. The programming was shoddily written, the infrastructure devoted to it was insufficient (I don't know if it's the prooper term, but they didn't have capacity for volume), and it wasn't pilot tested! There was no QC whatsoever. A lot of programmers contributed in the comments section and it sounds like the ORCA developers were way out of their depth.

Anyway, the article's spin is that the consustant culture in D.C. is responsible for this. Rove et al. hire consultants and give them huge sums of money to do things for them, in this case developing sophisticated internet-based get out the vote software. No oversight or management. And these are business people who think they can run the nation better because the Democrats indiscriminantly throw money and gifts at minorities.

Now, one can argue that the failure of ORCA is the reason Romney lost. But one could just as easily argue that whatever they were trying to do digitally to manipulate the vote fell flat because their tech people weren't savvy or careful enough and created a product that is easily hacked. And, of course, we know that the Netizens and Anonymous have more sophisticated tech people among them.

Here's the article.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1211/18/2012

karl rove and his flopsweat were obviously stalling for something they he believed would happen at some point in the evening- he was SHOCKED that he wasn't ahead in ohio, and his disbelief and discomfort at a result he *knew* couldn't be happening was visceral.

personally, i think whoever he had hack the system saw that obama was going to win even without ohio and florida, and decided it wasn't worth going to prison over if they were caught since mitt was obliviously losing, so pulled the plug.

i wonder since he guaranteed to his donors that he could fix it so his candidate would win, if he'll end up sleeping with teh fishes. it would be delicious justice if so.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1311/18/2012

I hope it is true, and if so, kudos to anonymous for saving democracy.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1411/18/2012

If it's not true, it would seem like Anonymous is taking a page out of the Rove playbook.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1511/18/2012

'personally, i think whoever he had hack the system saw that obama was going to win even without ohio and florida, and decided it wasn't worth going to prison over if they were caught since mitt was obliviously losing, so pulled the plug.'

You mean Ohio SOS Jon Husted? The GOP still hasn't come to terms with social media and they don't realize that everything they go gets out there quickly. Husted waited until the Friday afternoon (or evening) before the election to install that software and probably thought that word wouldn't get out but it did. I think he chickened out on Election Day.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1611/18/2012

Which software is that, R16? The ORCA stuff? It sunk itself through bad program management, design, and implementation. The SOS involvement is too tin hatty and they wouldn't need Husted anyway.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1711/18/2012

I am not a tinhat but I do believe this.

There's nothing the republicans wouldn't do. They are pure scum.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1811/18/2012

A couple of us (including me) called it in one of the delicious election threads. Rove's reaction was more of a "wait for it" type of thing.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 1911/18/2012

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.

It's clear to me they stole the 2004 election.

It's equally clear to me they tried to steal this one.

This is as good an explanation as any offered as to why they weren't successful this time.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2011/18/2012

[quote]Which software is that, [R16]? The ORCA stuff?

Some mysterious "patch" for the voting machines.

On a related note, the fabulous Nina Turner has said she might run for SoS.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2111/18/2012

Possibly, Rove wanted Ohio to flip so the Repugs could claim voter fraud ("Well, our guy won in Ohio, so there's obviously ORCHESTRATED voter fraud wherever the black guy - ooops - our opponent won!!!! Supreme Court. Activist Judges etc...)

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2211/18/2012

Rove wasn't shocked, he was just... crestfallen. He is no longer The Architect, a magical person who can dip into his same, tired bag of tricks and win elections. He makes his livelihood doing this, you know.

Oh well, I'm sure he's a millionaire many times over. In the words of Obama, "How much money is enough?".

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2311/18/2012

Karl Rove and orca in the same sentence, heheheheheh.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2411/18/2012

I don't believe for a second that rove didn't know Obama was going to win. They knew Obama was going to win and that whole Ohio thing was just a piece of theater so the Faux diehard audience would believe there was voter fraud.

Rove is a lot of things, but stupid isn't one of them. I think they can only steal one or two states at a time. They stole FL in 2000 and they stole OH in 2004, but they would have had to steal multiple states from Obama and they simply cannot do it.

They'd love more than anything to shown up Nate Silver, but they knew he was right. So they took the voter fraud narrative to explain why they couldn't win. Nobody's buying it.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2511/18/2012

r17- of course they need the involvement of the SOS's office. they HAVE to be complicit in vote totals changing, since the oversee the election process.

john husted decided with an obama win assured that it wasn't worth going to jail if he was caught, so pulled the plug. at least that's my theory. anonymous is just taking the credit, and imho, that's not a bad thing- puts a little fear in anyone involved.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2611/18/2012

I meant they wouldn't need Husted himself. All they need is one lackey in the office with access. Or if vote counting is done on an internet-based application, they don't even need a physical presence in the office. I don't think they'd put the SOS in a position to take a fall like that. He'd know too much and would probably sing to save his ass.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2711/18/2012

[quote]On a related note, the fabulous Nina Turner has said she might run for SoS.

The combined effects of a cold, cough medicine, & a nice hot toddy caused me to read this name as Tina Turner. Which may not be a bad idea (if when one is well & sober).

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2811/18/2012

I believe this.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 2911/18/2012

I believe that we are all giving Kkkarl too much credit.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3011/18/2012

[quote]You won.

We know. Isn't it great?

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3211/18/2012

[quote]But it clearly represents the thinking of 8-10 individuals,

You mean like the Benghazi chatter on Fox?

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3311/18/2012

R23, clearly you didn't see the video of Karl Rove on election night. He was clearly flustered and incredulous that things weren't going according to "plan".

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3411/18/2012

I'm not willing to believe it. WHY? Because this is the way they will frame it:Obama stole the election. They were so certain, and they had this stupendously clever software, and then it all went wrong. They can't blame their stupidity, or their departure from fact based reality, so they will ascribe their failures to treachery. To Obama the diabolically clever Kenyan Socialistic Communist Muslim.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3511/18/2012

R35, none of that made any real sense to me. Your reason "why" to not belive it wasn't a reason to not believe it at all. If anything, it was even more of a reason to believe they'd try to steal the election.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3611/18/2012

I don't know if this is true but if anyone would try that it would be that puppetmaster wanna be Rove and his evil minions.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3711/18/2012

Romney also was ridiculously certain he would win Ohio. He kept saying it. And he started focusing on Pennsylvania, he was so certain.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3811/18/2012

I believe it.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 3911/18/2012

This is a related story about Karl Rove and his(perhaps) planned theft of the election. There's some interesting background on the theft of the 2004 election through the use of something called the "Man In the Middle" software patch.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4011/19/2012

Consider the source - folks at Daily Kos lap up these kinds of conspiracy theories.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4111/19/2012

If you're going to play the "consider the source" game to try and just discredit something... consider they're talking about fucking Karl Rove and the Ohio Republicans and the Republican Party and Mitt Romney. Given that cast of characters, I can't fathom how this could NOT be true (about them attempting to steal the election).

The only question is, "Is the reason it didn't work because Anonymous managed to stop it?"

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4211/19/2012

While KKKarl doesn't have the brains to do this himself, he certainly had the donated money in his pocket to pay to have the election bought for Willard via hacking the votes.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4411/19/2012

Because "black people are voting in MAINE!!" doesn't exactly add up to voting fraud, wingnut shill R43.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4511/19/2012

Would love to hear more about this!

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4611/19/2012

r46. Then read this thread. It includes a youtube clip about weird similiarities between the 2004 and the 2012 election.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4711/19/2012

I don't think Rove's performance on election night proves anything.

If a dark master like that truly believed he had it in the bag, he would have let it ride. Guys like Rove play the long game. His reaction that night wasn't irritation, it was death of a dream. If it was supposed to be rigged he would never have flagged it.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4811/19/2012

People slip up when they realize their scheme isn't working. Rove's mistake was that he was live on camera (trying to give himself an alibi?) when that realization kicked in.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 4911/19/2012

It would explain Rove's reaction.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5011/20/2012

I'd believe Anonymous before I'd believe the knee-jerk reaction from DailyKos.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5111/20/2012

He isn't a dark master. He's a mediocre man of middling intelligence who has exercised power in this country chiefly because he is willing to commit crimes that nobody else at his social level would even think of committing from fraud to murder.

The banality of evil, as Hannah Arendt said of Eichmann.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5211/20/2012

Note I'm not saying I have proof he committed the crimes, but that he is disposed to do anything to get his way.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5311/20/2012

the weirdness of the 2004 election makes a lot more sense when you assume they stole it

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5411/21/2012

Rove's 2004 whitleblowing IT guy.

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5511/21/2012

I WISH THIS SHIT WOULD GET PROSECUTED

by Rafalca, Hiding out in Area 51, ixnay! reply 5611/21/2012
