What the FUCK is wrong with Republicans?
In order to vote Republican, you have to believe such ridiculous things...
You have to believe the rich are too poor, and the poor are too rich. You have to believe too many people having health insurance is a bad thing. You have to believe that the party that wants to monitor and control things that go on in your bedroom and between you and your doctor is the party of "less intrusive government". You have to believe the party whose policies and votes are responsible for nearly 80% of the national debt is the party of "fiscal responsibility". You have to believe that women don't deserve equal pay for equal work, and that gays and minorities don't deserve equal treatment under the law. You have to believe that racism, sexism, homophobia, and xenophobia are perfectly normal and acceptable. You have to believe that a pathological lair and craven flip-flopper who is a documented bully and animal abuser, who made his money on the backs of working people through pure greed, and who is Mormon, is a "good christian"... while a decent Christian man who lives by the teachings of Christ is an evil socialist muslim communist. You have to believe that your taxes are too high when they've been cut to the lowest point in generations. You have to believe that math and science are just silly theories and aren't really true and don't really work. You have to believe that attacking and undermining the legitimately elected President and threatening succession is "patriotic".
How the fuck can nearly half the country buy into this bullshit?

After the latest fiasco with Fox News, you have to continue to trust them and watch religiously.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||11/13/2012|
Not quite, R2. At the last general election in the UK, the BNP received 1.9% of the vote.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||11/13/2012|
Yeah, but it's not a core of the Democratic party platform, the way "Wealthy Straight White Christian Male Privilege" is in the GOP party platform.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||11/13/2012|
You have to believe that you are a great American because you were born of white immigrants and any of color are just leeches.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||11/13/2012|
Since most of them also believe God had a son, the earth was created in seven days and is only 6,000 years old, etc., and choose to live their life according to the rules in some book that some primitive peoples wrote 2,000 years ago to explain things they dind't understand (and then of course [pick and choose which parts of the book to believe based on their own peccadilloes), why wouldn't they believe the other stuff?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||11/13/2012|
Jesus Christ, step away from the internet, r11.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||11/13/2012|
[quote]Isn't it apparent that Rep = Dem?
Nope, since it is manifestly untrue, and all you have to do is look at the history of the past 30 years to see how stupidly false that statement is.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||11/13/2012|
I hear you R11, but why wouldn't these families change with the times? It's been evident for sometime that the nation is on an unsustainable path.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||11/13/2012|
I mean if we hypothesize the military is behind it...well, then their acceptance of gays in recent years may be the story behind our electoral wins this year. But why would they want a GOP Congress? Surely they know it is weakening the country.
And how did the military change anyway? Wasn't that Obama's doing?
|by Anonymous||reply 15||11/13/2012|
R16, it's Republicans that live in the state of denial.
And R17, it's Republicans that are mental.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||11/14/2012|
Mitt Romney found out something that Republicans simply can't comprehend: If you cater to angry white men as the foundation of your campaign, you will lose.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||11/14/2012|
R14 That's a very thoughtful question. I can only speculate as to the answer. You would think that the all-powerful families could have shut down car production years ago. Could have had a decreasing population by now, too. My guess is that their driving motivation is only centered around greed. As George Carlin said, "They have almost everything and they want it all".
|by Anonymous||reply 20||11/14/2012|
R21, they're not. They're just observing Republican/Conservative racism.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||11/14/2012|
It's a scary thought that STILL so many people voted republican!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||11/14/2012|
R24, anyone taking a logic course (and passing) could never vote Republican to begin with.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||11/14/2012|
R26 wins False Equivalence Troll of this thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||11/14/2012|
R27 You mean he wasn't talking about Andy Devine?
|by Anonymous||reply 31||11/14/2012|
[quote]Differences between Dems and Repubs is a carefully crafted illusion
Moron. Just... no.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||11/14/2012|
You're just as dangerous trying to categorize/label. Go to hell.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||11/14/2012|
[quote]Pay attention to what your politicians do, not what they say.
[quote]Obama continued the Bush policies seamlessly.
No, he didn't, which makes you either a liar or a fool.

Could we please call upon a paying member to start a thread with the title:
Non-Americans unite! Keep the Repugs from our shores!
On the website:https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions more and more people are signing petitions for states to secede from the Union.
At the same time, petitions calling for the deportation of people signing those are getting more signatures.
It is time for the rest of the world to take a stand! So to put oil on the fire, we have now created a new petition.
All non-Americans: take a stand and sign! Let Americans deal with their own idiots on their own turf.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||11/14/2012|
r35, I have a pretty good idea what you are (other than gay) and it's neither liar nor fool.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||11/15/2012|
The core belief of Republicans: All for me, FUCK the rest! We are superior and not only do we look down on the common people, we tell them what to do and think! We are almighty gods (that's when they stumble and fall thanks to their own stupidity / overestimating themselves and underestimating others and situations).
|by Anonymous||reply 39||11/15/2012|
R40, typical of a right-winger, nothing you stated is even remotely true.
But nice mindless regurgitation of some FOX News talking points, especially right there at the end. I don't think you have any clue who the real "takers" are in this country. Trust me, it ain't who you and Mitt Romney are blaming.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||11/15/2012|
r40, the 'makers' benefit from the opportunities and resources the country's offering (roads, education, etc.) as much as the employees and so called non-makers, but yet it's the employees and the so called non-makers who are supposed to pay taxes while the makers shouldn't pay taxes and have all the profits for themselves and just maybe throw a few crumbs to the lower and middle class. It's the 1%'s and the Republican Party's attitude that convinces people that capitalism (All the profits for me and let some stupid lowlife foot the bill!) is bad and socialism is good.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||11/15/2012|
R40, what's YOUR net worth? Just curious...
|by Anonymous||reply 43||11/15/2012|
The question is, what is RIGHT with these people?
|by Anonymous||reply 44||11/16/2012|
Republicans are criminals who gave up on the country long ago and are picking over the carcass as we speak. This would include R47.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||01/21/2014|
R49, Lincoln did, in fact, do shit for blacks. And it's not the war of northern aggression, it was a Civil War that we had every right to fight, since the south had no constitutional right to secede.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||01/21/2014|
R53, that was originally Lincoln's idea, but his views changed as he was president and he got older in life.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||01/21/2014|
Dr. Ben Carson is their go-to self-loathing black guy.
Sad because he's apparently an excellent doctor, but completely insane when it comes to ideology.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||01/21/2014|
Any time my boss hires a new employee he usually gets around to asking them this question in the first week they work there
>> if a person works really, really hard and becomes a millionaire, do you think the government has the right to take his money?
Then he launches into a rant about how the government is so terrible to expect people to pay taxes and if you are a millionaire you shouldn't have to pay taxes. My boss is not and never will be a millionaire so I don't know why he spends his time advocating for and worrying about millionaires to everyone he knows
If you knew my crazy repug boss you would know that 4 out of his 5 children's births were paid for by medicaid (that's $40,000 he sucked off the govt's tit). Now that he has his own business and can afford insurance he's against medicaid, food stamps, Wic checks, etc. Which are all things his girlfriend (now wife) was happy to collect and he was happy for her to collect them.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||01/21/2014|
r40 invented about 80% of his opponent's positions so he could pretend to make them look bad. OP did the same, but only with about 20%. OP wins that one.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||01/21/2014|
R56, that's what make them Republicans.
They're so obtuse as to not recognize their own, blatant hypocrisy.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||01/21/2014|
What is going on is totally unbelievable. As far as I am concern they are treasonous in most of their acts. If you are not a republican, you do not count. In fact if you are a central republican, you do not count either....so why bother trying to survive this 2015 republican party? They don't believe anyone unless you are a copy of Sarah Paylin. Do you really want someone like her as a president? Not me.
