Oprah's new line of organic food and bathroom products
Several applications to trademark 'Oprah’s Organics,' for bath soaps, sunscreen, massage oils, hair products, as well as organic salad dressings, frozen vegetables, soups, beverages and snack dips, were filed late last month according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Organization.
Applications for an 'Oprah’s Farm' trademark for a beverage and catering service, as well as 'Oprah’s Harvest' were also recently submitted - the addresses of which include the Wilshire Boulevard location of Ms Winfrey’s business and the Chicago offices of Winfrey’s Harpo Inc.

If she wants to sell organic foods, then she needs to lose 70lbs.

Wow. Everyone wants to be Martha Stewart but without putting in all of the work...and Martha HAS done the work. She's never wasted a day of her life. Winfrey's weight issues reveal an inherent laziness of character. She's had her run in the sun. She jump started the careers of Phil and Oz. When will it all be enough for her? Why is she go greedy and refusing to let go and let us all move on?

[quote] Why is she go greedy and refusing to let go and let us all move on?
Megalomania. Of course in Oprah's world, that's a jumbo sized portion of 'organic' Chinese noodles.

R2, that's the funniest post I've seen in a long time.
|by Toni B||reply 4||11/12/2012|
She wants to be Paul Newman - but I assume none of these profits are going to charity?
|by Toni B||reply 5||11/12/2012|
R2, that's ridiculous. She built a huge empire and had a top daytime show for years. That's not laziness of character. I suspect if we spent time around you, we could find plenty of flaws.

R6 = Sexually frustrated 50 something female typing from her keyboard sticky with the remnants of ice cream and sweet pickle juice, wearing a filthy nightgown wondering where it all went wrong.

Those organic hair products better work miracles or black women will protest from coast to coast. OWN will be OVAH. She is taking a big risk on this.
|by Toni B||reply 8||11/12/2012|
According to the article, the organic products will only be sold in Hawaii.
|by Toni B||reply 9||11/12/2012|
I don't think it will work.
Don't you think she is just going to outsource another company (that already makes similar products) to make the products and just put her name on it?
|by Toni B||reply 10||11/12/2012|
Will she be competing with Josh and his hubby?
|by Toni B||reply 11||11/12/2012|
"Oprah's Farm" brand?
An unfortunate choice. Countdown to some disgruntled employee's expose of working "on The Plantation."
|by Toni B||reply 12||11/12/2012|
If Oprah wants organic bathroom products that's cool but if she is hawking healthy food it makes her look ridiculous since she has been unwilling to control her own weight.
R3 I don't konw why so many people think Martha is so fucking great. She rips off other people's recipes and her "authority" on all things home is a joke...someone just decided she has good taste and the public foolishly followed along.
|by Toni B||reply 13||11/12/2012|
This is a stretch. She's a media company, not products. I predict it will fail.
|by Toni B||reply 14||11/12/2012|
The people of Maui are already pissed at O for building some road which they'd wanted built for ages. Oprah built it in 2010...and made it private.
|by Toni B||reply 15||11/12/2012|
I think this is a fantastic idea.
|by Toni B||reply 16||11/12/2012|
It is strange that Oprah owns a "plantation", really.
Photos indicate it is quite a magnificent estate.
I'm on it.
Will I be allowed to include remark about portion sizes...welldone.

When does she debut Oprah's Sex Toys?
|by Toni B||reply 19||11/12/2012|
The world has moved on without you, O. Now please, just go. We don't want no 'mo.
|by Toni B||reply 21||11/12/2012|
Listen you motherfuckers, you WILL buy my organic produce, you will subscribe to Oprah magazine, and you will watch own. Is that clear?
|by Toni B||reply 22||11/12/2012|
I'd buy Oprah's products. Especially as gifts. They'll probably be high quality.
If Paul Newman, Patrick Dempsey, David Beckham, 50-cent etc can hock products, why are you upset if Oprah does it?

Oprah has become the poster child for "don't quit your day job"
|by Toni B||reply 24||11/12/2012|
Paul Newman gave every penny of profit to charity. Every penny.
|by Toni B||reply 25||11/12/2012|
R24, she's worth $2.7 billion
|by Toni B||reply 26||11/12/2012|
Hey Oprah, with all this organic food, is any of this new venture going to include bathroom air freshener?
|by Toni B||reply 27||11/12/2012|
but nobody cares about what she says and does like they used to r26......money isn't everything when you crave influence
|by Toni B||reply 28||11/12/2012|
Mmmm, organic deep fried double bacon cheeseburgers.
|by Toni B||reply 29||11/12/2012|
Hi Oprah: I want to you and Margaret Shug Avery samples of our 100% All natural Cheesecakes Sugar Free With an Almond Crust. The company was founded by Alta Davis a wonderful African American now in her 80's over twenty years ago.
Goji Berries are her favorite!

"Organic" sunscreen? What a colossal fraud and a waste of money. I bet it has "anti-oxidants" too. Fraus are so fucking gullible.
